Act 28:3 And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand.

Where does Scripture refer to a sea serpent?
It mentions it in four different places. In some of these it is using the creature in a metaphorical way. Job 41:1 Canst thou draw out leviathan with an hook? or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down? Psa 74:14 Thou brakest the heads of leviathan in pieces, and gavest him to be meat to the people inhabiting the wilderness. Psa 104:26 There go the ships: there is that leviathan, whom thou hast made to play therein. Isa 27:1 In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.

Am 9:3 And though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out thence; and though they be hid from my sight in the bottom of the sea, thence will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them:
