Oklahoma Howdy to All,

I voted YES! Lawyers are getting rich on the backs of every person who needs health care in America. I would go further than simply placing a cap on settlement amounts. Frivolous suits should result in the lawyer and plaintiff paying for all court and attorney fees, plus fees and penalties.

Our entire tort system is a mess. Lawyers are the only ones who win. We all pay the price in many ways, and our services we receive involve more money, less service, and sometimes elimination of services because of rich lawyers getting richer.

I wished I wasn't so shy on this topic.   Grin

In Christ,
Tom

It's not agreeing with you...it's agreeing with you when you're wrong!

Putting a cap on the settlement would mean the lawyers take percentage would be less. This could put lawyers in the poor house and then there would be no one to be our candidates for public office from the lowest to the highest, (president).

We might have to go back to picking candidates from the general public. That would be a catatrophe because then our public officials might have a clue as to the needs of and how the real America thinks and feels.

Keep saying that, until you get a Native Californian in the Oval Office. Um, a College Graduate, or a High school drop-out Yoga instructor for the legalization of all drugs? Grin

There is not a native Californian in existence in California! They have all gone to Oregon.

Um, a College Graduate,
Ok as long as the major is anything but social studies or philosophy.

Now that would be a twisted high form of rule.

 Cool
