Hey Jimmy -
It could be a little early for this question. All I can say at this point is,
who knows?
I kind of like Ann Coulter's take on the matter, though:
http://www.anncoulter.org/cgi-local/welcome.cgi
I should probably add (being the open minded guy I am)
that if Chucky Schumer likes him, I hate him and visa-versa!
(Ha-ha! I kill me!)
God bless,
JN

Hi JN,
Thanks for the reply!
I agreee with you. It's probably a little early to tell what sort of jurist he'll turn out to be. I'm not sure I'd put too much stock into what some lunatic like Ann Coulter would have to say about it. The day I try and derive any of my opinions from that woman's scree, is the day I... well, you get the picture.
cheers,
Jimmy

Brothers and Sisters,
I'm really pretty disappointed. I fully expected the President to appoint a woman and maintain some balance on the Supreme Court.
Being true to the Constitution should also be a major concern. For these reasons, I heard that Ann Coulter was to be the person appointed. She's a woman, and she has obviously defended the Constitution. Besides that, she's already a popular public figure and she's brilliant.
Who knows, maybe the Senate won't accept the appointment, and Ann Coulter will be the newest member of the Supreme Court. If so, Ann Coulter's first item on the agenda will be to flush 50 years of liberal sewage and restore the Constitution.
Love In Christ,
Tom

Brother BEP - I couldn't agree more.
I think Ms. Coulter would make an excellent jurist supreme. The simple fact that she undresses ‘Political Correctness’ to the ugliness it actually is, is enough for her to gain my support. She is not only a brilliantly talented wordsmith, she practices what she preaches.
A couple of examples of her stances:
-- Let homosexuals be homosexuals, but don’t make them a “special” class of humans with “special rights”.
-- If someone wants to pray – let them pray. If someone doesn’t want to hear it, they don’t have to listen.
Plus, she is independent – unlike Rush L. who is just a talking head who believes Bush/Republicans can do no wrong – Ann recognizes right from wrong, good from evil, terrorists from "insurgents" and stupid from stupider.
I particularly appreciate her recognition of the democrat party for what it is: the party of sodomy, baby killing and atheism. (Not to mention the party of pornography, smut and instigators of racism and class warfare.)
Yep – she gets my vote!

I think you just pointed out the reason why she was not nominated.
Politics are politics and both sides want someone that will support their party completely with no questions asked. It has been seen already that even Pres Bush has played this game.

Brothers,
I'm surprised that I didn't think of this earlier. They are reserving the Chief Justice position for Ann Coulter when it comes open.
I was just thinking about how refreshing it will be to read very brief and blunt opinions from the Supreme Court. It might even get embarrassing for liberal justices still left on the bench. I have a hard time imaging that Ann Coulter will adapt to being politically correct. However, that will also be refreshing. Finally, a "tell it like it is" Chief Justice".
This appointment will be political genius, but I feel quite certain that Republicans will have to use the "nuclear option" on this one.
AND, Ann Coulter is young enough to possibly serve for 50 years or more on the bench.

Now your talking BEP!
Although I understand that demoncrats would spell Coulter: F-I-L-I-B-U-S-T-E-R, it is still an intriguing thought! I bet frivolous ACLU law suits would drop to near zero!

Hi folks,
Thanks for all the great replies.
I am somewhat troubled though, as far as all the support for Ann Coulter goes. Now, I'm a conservative, I think, but I just can't stand Ann Coulter. She just plain lies in all of her books, and counts on her readers simply beleiving that she is telling the truth, because she is just repeating what she knows her readers think is true. Its dirty, unethical, and just plain wrong. Take a look for yourselves at "Slander" for example, and take a few minutes to check-up on some of the stuff she presents as "Fact." You won't have to look for long to find out that most of what she is saying, simply isn't true.
cheers,
Jimmy
