What is your opinion of the series?
I myself agree with most of it but not all.
I believe the Rapture will happen in the middle of tribulation.
So what are your thoughs on the series?
Or if you have only read a few of the books,? what is your opinion?

Yes, I have read the first few books. Up to the point where they killed the anti-christ. I was laughing to hard to go on. I don’t believe a word of what that book says, I do not believe it will be anything like that. Thats my opinion. Smiley

If these books are like others I have read on like subject, the books probably come out seeming much like an exagerated fairy tale or Hollywood alien/monster story. Not to mention too corney for words. However I have never read this series of books so cannot critique them. I only know of similar ones I have read. These books would never lead me to Christ as they seem unreal in their fabrication and not of what God is saying in His word.

I've read all the books so far.

I think they are written quite well...good reading material.  Makes one think.  Do I believe it will happen that way?  Probably not...but, as I said, good reading Smiley
(my oldest two are reading the series for kids).

LOL...I have never watched the movie...I read the books to keep me occupied on a road trip. They kept me interested enough to see how these ppl viewed the whole rapture.
I think they are pretty good story tellers.

I enjoyed them all - just finishing up the last one.  Compared to Christian fiction overall, I think they are middle of the road. Authors such as Dekker and Peretti spin a much better tale.  I'd give the Left Behind series a C+ or B- overall, and (Sapph) I don't think it was a waste of my time to read them.  But, as I say, compared to Dekker's "Blink", "Blessed Child" and "A Man Called Blessed", I have to admit "Left Behind" is somewhat like a B-movie. i.e.: 'Tremmors' is one of my favorite flicks but it's no 'Private Ryan' - same kind of comparison.

I enjoyed them all as well. I know that it was a fictional story, but it sure made you think. The scriptural facts were used to weave a good story line. I always say the last one  then the next one would come out and it would be my favorite. So I don't really have a favorite.
My only complain is they way they were sold, to long in between books, and I think they lost some of the orginal audience, and its was irritating to have to wait for the paper backs month after the hard back......grrrrr.

How do you think I felt, I have them in hardback. I hated waiting months betweens the books as well.
