BrotherLove,

Well, it seems that you have at least three or four members in your new religious union.

As a Christian who believes what was given to us via the Apostles and recorded in the Bible, I can only attest the first and last. The rest I have no recognition as being taught from the Bible and having 2000 years of experiencial living.

I wonder if you could keep the current members if you added a few things.

Oklahoma Howdy to Sojourner,

I'm not sure what you are trying to say or imply. The Statement of Faith being quoted is the stance of the Owner and Administrator of Christians Unite and the vast majority of Christians that I know. I can easily attest to the entire list. There is nothing foreign or unusual about this statement of faith. This is the pure Gospel of God's Grace. This does not represent a new religious union, rather an ancient religious union that goes back to THE CROSS.

If you are suggesting this Statement of Faith is trying to start a new religious movement or belief, you would be wrong. This is the truth and reality of our Lord and Saviour, the Holy Trinity, the CROSS and what it means, and the GOOD NEWS about what Jesus Christ did for us. It was completely true 2,000 years ago, and it is completely true today. This is the basic foundation of truth that binds us together as brothers and sisters in Christ. This does not represent a new or single denomination, rather many denominations of people who love Jesus Christ as the core and Lord over their lives.

When I say "members", I'm talking about members of THE BODY OF CHRIST, saved and born again children of God.

I think what he is trying to say is, will those who don’t believe in the Admin’s version of Christianity be banned, to put it bluntly.

Blackeyedpeas,

That truly is a statement of faith. However, there is little that represents the Gospel once given by the Apostles, and surely very little that the martyers died for during the last 2000 years as members of that Body of Christ.

There is nothing wrong with a statement of faith, however, if you are going to show it as authentic from the Apostles, it must be much more than your or others opinion of what it was.  Using the same terminology with vastly different Truth does not make it authentic or Apostolic.

For me I stick to the Nicene Creed as my statement of faith.

Oklahoma Howdy to Tibby,

Cheesy  I'm sure that you already have the answer to that question. ADMIN has banned some very strange people, but only after warning them and asking them to quit preaching (i.e. 3 self-proclaimed Messiahs, 1 proclaiming to be our King and here to whip us into shape, etc., etc., etc. - all with looney bin preaching).  We have banned several who refused to stop trying to convert us to Islam and other groups that deny one or more of the Holy Trinity. I'm hoping that most of the people on the forum never knew they were here.

People who deny Jesus Christ was and is God are welcome here, but not to preach and rescue us from our Lord and Saviour. I think this is a fairly accurate way to describe how the forum rules about religious beliefs are applied. An easy proof of this is numerous threads obviously involving atheists, humanists, and other folks who completely deny the existence of God altogether. Several have been banned because they were addicted to hunting Christians, poking fun at the Holy Bible, and mocking or blaspheming Almighty God. Other than those radical examples, many atheists have been with us for lengthy periods of time.

Love In Christ,

Sojourner, you need to focus on Jesus's words and then you will understand the apostle's words. Only Jesus can give us eternal life, not the apostles.

Heidi,

If it weren't for the Apostles and the Prophets of the OT you wouldn't have Jesus' words either.

I recall asking you several questions which have yet to be answered. You keep using the phrase 'knowing Jesus' words' which is meaningless. I can quote and I can read. It is not the words but what they mean. You have not shown that what you state has been taught and believed historically, rather than just your opinion.

God decides what words we hear and what words we don't need to hear, not the apostles. You still seem to want to give them the credit instead of God. Jesus said; "I can do nothing without my Father."  Undertsanding Jesus's words comes from the Holy Spirit, not a detached analysis of history. The statement of faith that the administration made at the beginning of this thread says it all. The born again Christians have no problem understanding its meaning. The ones who see Jesus's words as the "teachings that are but rules taught by men", have a hard time understanding his meaning. My suggestion to you would be to ask Christ into your HEART, literally, and His words will then make sense to you.
