We are no longer under jewish law Willow.  They were asked to do many things.  And what happened?  Today, we are simply asked to act in Love.  We are under no commandment, not any obligation to pay one cent to any church.  If we see the need, we do the deed...in love.

Exactly!! By their Fruits you shall know them!  And, I am not a christian.  Don't lump me into that category!!  I am a Follower Of Christ.  Christians rarely show the Fruits of the Spirit.  Followers of Christ do.

We are not commanded to give 10% of our earnings to any church.  We are asked to give what we can to help.  Jesus would never place us in such a situation as that is binding us to a religious law pharaseeical Law.
It was Jesus who set us FREE from these things.
We are under no other obligation to anyone to give 10% of our money.
We are asked to love one another.  So, are you sure the Lord has laid it on you heart?
We are not under O.T. law anymore.  We are under the Law of Grace.  Jesus stated "It is when you give OF YOURSELF that you truly give."
Hey guys!  Jesus died to set us free!  We have the 10 Commandments written on our hearts now, NOT on stone...and the 10% tithing is obsolete.
Give love...give money as you can afford it.  Jesus also stated "I would that you should have GOOD HEALTH"

Do you think he'd have you worrying about your bank balances?  He gave you your money to care for YOURSELVES and your family FIRST!

What I'd like to know about tithing is...when did it become a tithe of money?  It was always produce in the Old Testament!
Jesus stated "It is when you give of yourselves that you TRULY give".  
The churches to me seem to have become quite rich on the money tithe law.  But...when did Jesus tell us to tithe money?

Yes! The last full moon WAS early last week!  I wonder why they were all so quiet during the full moon?  Many can be brought to Jesus and are sensible enough to be taught.  But others...there is no way to teach them anything.  And, because they are Godless, they prefer their Godless world.
And, to today's shame...too many people want a Godless world.

"Today you will be with me in paradise"

Somehow or other when put with these other verse, it don't fit, since in your verse He says today.

I have to agree with you Petro, how can Jesus say 'today', when by the other posts, show that he went to hell...?

...that is unless they don't say what they we think they say...
 

May I make a little comment here?  If you put a comma beside the word Today, you will read it in accordance with the scriptures.
"Verily verily I say unto you today, you shall be with me in Paradise."
You see, there were no punctuation marks in the Hebrew.

Once we get to Heaven Whitehorse, we won't WANT to remember some of the sufferings on earth!!LOL!  
Yes, that poor lady just reached out in complete knowledge that she would be healed if she but touched His garment.  What sheer and utter belief.   That is the most beautiful example of faith we can see.  She was obviously very weak.  And, He healed her without knowing!  The Holy Spirit in Jesus reacted immediately.  Just because she has so much trust.
That lady is our example in complete acknowledgement Father can do anything - immediately!

No Tibby, I have never had any bad experiences with cliques.   And I am a loner...but not a lone wolf!!  LOL.  I just don't like to see any person mistreated in any way, manner or form if they believe in Jesus Christ, their Saviour and in God, Our Father in heaven.
You see, I believe that if a person is a true christian, that person should have the Fruits of the Holy Spirit.  And, the chief Fruit is LOVE. And, I have the gift of Discernment.  If people won't listen to the TRUE message of Jesus, then I wipe the dust off my feet and walk away.
If they don't display the FRUITS of the Holy Spirit, I also wipe my feet well and truly - and walk away.  And I never look back.
I dedicated my life to my Father in Heaven.  And, HE directs my path in life.  HE directs me to the ones I should reach out to.  HE directs my prayers.  HE searches my heart.  
Yes, indeed I am a loner!  Because I choose to be with my God.  The world is too contaminated for me today.  
Indeed, christians can be cliques.  And it is these cliques I prefer to stay away from.

To me Music...they don't.  And...to me, they have their own country where they can do what they like with their own quaran or whatever they call it.  They are not christians, so why invade christian countries.  Worst still...why do the Governments allow them.

I'm currently in a school where over one third of the students are Muslims.
The school has a great atmosphere, the muslim girls are everybit as decent, and (on average) a heck of a lot more prayerful and God fearing than the average kid in a government school around here.

On the other hand, Christians invaded this land and took it (illegally) from its original inhabitants a couple of centuries ago.

The fact that you can't distinguish between the word muslim and the word Islam speaks volumes about your knowledge of the matter.   Try meeting some muslims - you might stop being frightened of them.

IF they took their handkerchieves off their heads and accepted CHRIST as their SAVIOUR, THEN I would gladly welcome them!  BUT! Until then.  Let them go back to where they came from and take their quaran with them.
HOW is America holding them in poverty?
Right now America is spending millions of dollars trying to get them out of the mess they got themselves into!

My stepdaughter has a friend who works with some of these people who stated to her that they would kill her and all of us if it came to war in Australia!  How nice of them!
Yes, so called 'christians' came to thios country and took it. And many GOOD people came here too!
My great great grandfather migrated here because he was teaching children the Bible in Ireland, behind hedgerows.  It was either migrate - or be tried and murdered.  He migrated.

So don't go on to me about your muslim friends!  If they are truly christian, they won't be wearing those handkerchieves around their heads.  And if they are not. PRAISE GOD!

Don't worry...most of them are living in luxury in Australia as our Government hands out to them the hard earned taxes of the Australian people.  
How did they react when America went into Iraq?  Well, in one place, they SPAT AT AUSTRALIANS!

So, don't preach to me about muslims or islams or whatever they are. I am certainly not frightened of them.  I am just not interested in them and to talk of them to me is a waste of time and effort.
I have the Bible.  I don't need to even look at their quoran.  It's got nothing to do with me! And, if you are a Christian, it's got nothing to do with you.  Stick to the Inspired Word Of God.

Father calls you away if you are in harmony with Him.  He knows what is best for us, and often, cliques can do more damage to your soul than good.  Cliques are an exclusive group of friends who exclude others on purpose.  Is this right in the eyes of Father?

A clique isn't nice.  I have seen this too often and they make me feel most uncomfortable.  It's as though everyone goes off in their own little groups and you are left on your own wondering what it's all about.  They remind me of " The Exclusive Brethren"  you can't get near them!  To me, they can be downright ignorant.  They certainly don't display the Fruit of Love!  That's why I find it right to include everyone where I am, with nobody left out.  And, if I see someone on their own...that's the one I will head for every time.

I am feeling sad today last night I had to put my 6 years old daughter's cat to sleep.  I really did not want to do this, but it was the last of many things we tried.  The cat had something wrong with her she would to the potty all over my house.  I tried to find a farm where she could live but I had her declawed and no one would take her.  We both are really sad today my daughter cried this morning before school.  We all so have the cats brother and he is trying to find her.

When things like this happen in life Butterflywings, it is tragic. Animals become a part of the family and I feel so deeply for your little girl.  I pray you will consider another little kitten and proper training so that the little creature will not go elsewhere than where it should go to the toilet.  Just put some dirt in with it's kitty litter at first.
I pray you will soon feel better about this.  Time heals all.
