31  Theology / Debate / Re: IS BUDDHA A SERVANT OF CHRIST if not then why is he described in the BIBLE on: May 01, 2007, 12:29:27 AM
Only if he accepts being worshipped

Good Answer!
From what I have seen, He does.
32  Theology / Debate / Re: the sabbath ( what day saterday or sunday) on: May 01, 2007, 12:26:04 AM
The Sabbath is on Saturday.

I will disagree. Sunday used to be the last day of the week. The Sabath or seventh. I think it was one of the Ceasars who changed the days on the calandar to make Sunday the first day of the week. This was along about the time they were renaming months afte themselves.

This is a real good example of giving unto Ceasar that which is his, so don't worry about the calander saying Sunday is first. Keep, it and every other day Holy, and you are also giving God that which is his. Cool
33  Theology / Debate / Re: Should the church promote young marriages to deal with sexual immorality? on: May 01, 2007, 12:16:44 AM
Actually, the notion of Mary being the Wife of Jesus is now being "Proved"( Yeah right) by using the picture of the Lord's Supper, painted by Leonardo Divinci. It is said that Mary is the Holy Grail and is depicted standing next to Jesus in the picture.
I myself can't tell by looking whether the painting depicts a man or a woman, but I do know a little about Mr. Leonardo. He was ostrisized by the Church for being a bastard. He has no love for Christian Churches or what they stood for. He had a fanstastic mind, but has harmed the Christians as much as Darwin. I say they have harmed Christians, perhaps it is more the seperating of the goats from the sheep.Cool
34  Welcome / About You! / Re: asking if certain members still here? on: May 01, 2007, 12:02:21 AM
Hi Tigerlily,

I am new here, but also suffer with the fibromyalgia. It sure can put a hitch in your get-a-long can't it.
We have been having lots of thunderstorms here in SE Oklahoma, they seem to trigger pains in places I didn't even know I had. LOL I hope you can find something to give you relief. I have found the blue stuff with emu oil helps the muscle pains. Using melatonine helps with the restful sleep that eludes so many. A little aleeve and lots of prayer, that is how I get through the day.
Pleasure to meet you,

36  Entertainment / Animals and Pets / Re: What's your favorite animal? on: April 30, 2007, 11:45:19 PM
I have heard a couple of lines on cats and dogs that are pretty true.
They say a dog loves you, but a cat loves themselves, on you.
It is also said that a person owns a dog and a cat owns a person.
I know I have a couple of dogs that love me to pieces. Our old almost 11 yr old tomless cat just lets us live with him in his house. Cool

Hey Bristle Face! LOL
You should probably change your avatar, chocolate isn't good for Dogs. Cool

I am sorry if my previous post sounded like I was pointing fingers or if it sounded too harsh. I have had many Christians imply that If something abnormal is happening and you can't prove it is God given, it has to be from Satan.
I admit, I don't see how these things can glorify God. Maybe the sencing vibs could in some cases, but it is too random and seldom of an occuring thing to count on.  Smiley

On the other hand. How would either of these things glorify Satan? I don't see how they would unless I used them in some sort of way.

I guess I will leave them chalked up as one of those Mysteries God tells us exist.
39  Fellowship / You name it!! / Re: Gift or Curse? on: April 30, 2007, 08:40:03 PM
I have prayed over this for years. LOL
It isn't like I see these things constantly or feel vibrations from ever object. I have wondered about the visions being like a recording in time that somehow bleeds through and somehow I am able to see them. If that were true, then they are not truely spirits at all but simular to an echo that I pick up on my odd frequency.
As for the vibrations I get from objects. Again maybe it is an odd frequency. I don't know. That is why I asked. But I guess most Christians think anything they can't put a label on must be from Satan.
That is what I have gotten from most Christians, except for a few that also have these abilities and questions as to where they came from and why.

Oh and just for the record. My spirits or whatever are not "familiar" to me. I have never had a vision of anyone I recognized.

Ah Ha! How Shallowish of me not to recognise you. LOL
41  Fellowship / You name it!! / Re: Gift or Curse? on: April 30, 2007, 03:37:02 PM
You know, I have been sitting here thinking, I can't remember whether I had these feelings and sightings before I accepted Christ as my savior or not. I was raised in a Church of Christ Church and I just really don't remember ever not being a believer. The sightings and feelsing were there before I was Baptized, but I was a believer and accepter of Jesus Christ as my savior for many years before I was Baptized. Wink

A quick response so you know I've read this............
There is a spirit world, it's very real.
As far as visions from the past?  We are eternal, and there is no time in eternity.

I've gotta study on this!  I look forward to seeing what others answer.........

Thanks Terri,
I have asked this question on other forums, but discussion either got shut down real quick, or entered the space alien type thing. I would really like see some real Christian's thoughts on this.
43  Fellowship / You name it!! / Gift or Curse? on: April 30, 2007, 01:10:38 PM
Before I tell you my tale, let me say, I am a God Fearing Literal Bible Believing Southern Christian Woman.

I also have an ability most folks scoff at. I see Ghosts. I call them ghosts because I see people no one else sees. I have never tried to conjure these visions, they are just there. These people NEVER try to interact with me or seem to notice my presents at all. It is simular to a soundless Film clip. Most I see are from other eras of time. I also pick up "Feelings" from objects. I don't see anything real clear, but I can tell you whether the object was ever used for evil purposes and I can generally tell whether the owner or builder of the object was a Good or Bad person. I will give a couple of examples and then you folks can tell me whether this is a gift or a curse and why.

I once picked up a knife at a Yardsale and instantly knew it had been used to kill a person. I could see it covered in blood in a man's hand and a blurry body laying beyond. I have no idea when or where  the item was used.

Here is one more example. I was given a Book of Mormon. I recieved the most horrid sence of Evil anytime I tried to read it, that I finally burned the thing.

Ok, you tell me. Gift from God? If so, How am I supposed to use it to Glorify God?
Curse from Satan? If so, How do I get rid of it?
44  Welcome / About You! / Re: 'Nother Newbie! on: April 30, 2007, 12:45:42 PM
LOL  I'm almost afraid to ask....other books?

Yes we stick to the Word as should all believers.   Not sure what you guys were dealing with elsewhere, but I am glad you guys feel welcome here.

Mormons, JWs and Catholic. Lots of Books that are constantly changing and can't be pinned down.
It is so sad that these folks actually believe what they post.
Several Folks joined just to keep the unsuspecting person from falling into their lies. I for one let their prostitution of the Gospel get to my human nature and I am not proud of the way I acted. I did apologise, but that doesn't change the fact that as a Christian, I should have acted a whole lot different. Smiley
