16  Prayer / General Discussion / Re:Child Murderer on: July 09, 2004, 11:44:51 PM
Greetings!
I have read and ageed with almost every thing written, yes I have gone back and forth on my point of view. I hope that this doesn't make appear me "double minded". I will share a storywith you. I as well as each of my six sisters were abused in every way that a small girl could be abused, even molested at the hands of "friends" and my mother. For such a long time I was just numb. I have been given a new life in Christ Jesus! All that I had known was abandonment and hurt, until Christ. You see the Mercy of the Lord is soooooo very wonderful, Jesus not only forgave my sins, but also took the blame, took the shame of ALL that had been done to me.  Now here's the wonderful part, the mercy of it , My mom and I have a new relationship,(she now is also saved) restored by the love of Christ. God has and continues to use, for His glory and to His everlasting kindness, I now counsel women often that have shared similar circumstances. I'm not saying that I'm nessarily "grateful" for my experiences, but I can testify that there is ALWAYS hope and God will have the last word !! That's Mercy. Smiley

Hi Hiedi,
You know it's true. There were days that we ( my mom and me) were apart, Cry estranged, seperated and during that I had lost my mother I had found the Lord. Then there came a day that I desired to go to her, I had long forgiven her and then I langed for her, for an earthly mother,  asked the Lord to restore that and He asked my to chose, Huh I chose Christ. He answered in return with restoration. It was only then that I began to see the depth of God's hand on my life, on life generally. My overwhelming desire became that of her salvation. Years now have gone by and I am her care giver, God in His awesome wisdom and amazing ways had te priveledge to lead her then to Him. Cool What a miracle! God is so good to me!
Be blessed.
21  Theology / General Theology / Re:Hebrews Questions on: June 24, 2004, 10:34:37 PM
Great question !!
What is to "fall away" is the deeper question ?
I have thought that this pertains to blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. I'm sorta axious to here what others say.  Huh
22  Theology / General Theology / Re:Is it possible ? on: June 24, 2004, 10:20:46 PM
Hello Hiedi,
It's true , God gives us our life and then according to His will, we give it back so that He may grant us yet again LIFE. I know most certainly that I would have no hope, no life, no hope for a life will out Him. It's hard to see people we care for die and yet I'm assured that there will be no more suffering when her life her is through, so I pray for mercy.
Be blessed.

24  Theology / General Theology / Re:Dungeons & Dragons on: June 22, 2004, 11:10:08 PM
God Question, I SSuuupppossse Huh that we could agrue our right to do any thing at all, you know as long as we're not " hurting anyone"  Huh
A another word of CAUTION;
2 CORINTHIANS 6:14 (NIV)
Do not be yoked with unbelivers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have wit darkness ? What harmony is there between Christ and Belial ? What does a believer have in comon with an unbeliever ? What agreeent is there between the temple of God and idols ? For we are the temple of the Living God. As God said: " I will live with them and I will be their God and they wil be my people. "
Therefore come out and be seperate, says the Lord. touch no unclean thing and I will receive you.
Pray before you speak with him, ask the Holy Spirit to give you wisdom and the words, also pray the Lord would prepare and soften his heart. I'm confident to say that I and others will agree in prayer with you. It seems to me that you already know it's wrong, the Lord will reveal to His people by His Spirit if we are not hard hearted. Be encouraged. Prayer changes things! Smiley
25  Theology / General Theology / Is it possible ? on: June 22, 2004, 10:43:55 PM
A few days ago my mother who has a degernerative illness (Parkinson's related) told me that the Lord told her the what day she was going to die. Shocked
A little background, my mom had been involved for most of her life with witches and new age religions (channelling). Last year, on Easter Sunday  Grin she accepted the Lord . She loves Jesus and loves to worship Him. Right after that she was diagnost with this diseise.
I can not find any scripture to either agree or disagree with what she tells my she believes the Lord told her. It seems "wrong" to me. I did ask what she thought the purpose would be, she didn't know but is convinced that God told her.
Is it possible ? Huh

28  Welcome / About You! / Re:Hello on: June 22, 2004, 10:21:54 AM
Hello again, I also believe in the trinity, but I've never heard of the nicene creed, where is it in the scripture or is it just a name for the belief in , God the Father, God the son, Jesus, and God the Holy Spirit? I believe that they are all individual, yet one Lord.
Peace, and be blessed! Smiley

I knew that about Ronald Regan, he was pretty good guy too. I know he also loved Jesus, as do I. My husband's sister lives near the factory to. She has them visit every summer and she takes them there, they always buy the "rejects". I really never had a candy (except horehound, tastes like medicine)that I don't like. I'm pretty much the same about autos I have favorites but I really like em all! Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm really just learning how to use the internet, so I appreciate this site. I think it's great.
By the way what makes some members "four and five star members?
