Is being "obese" a sin?
2  Entertainment / Television / Re:The 4400...? on: June 03, 2004, 09:11:52 AM
Thank you for the link...  It is an American Zoetrope production!!!  That means Francis Ford Coppola, and a bevy of other impressive names.  I cannot believe I didn't know about this one..   Cry

Oh My!!  thanks for that update!  Where did you find all of that information?  I had read a little article on it, but it did not entail all of that.  It sounds pretty interesting.  Have you heard any good or bad news on it?

???Has anyone heard about this show?  Is it a religious reference?  I am not sure, but I think it is about some sort of abduction...

I think I would turn on the show, turn to jesus, and say, please help me and these people understand you are the way the light and the truth...  I wouls ask for forgiveness for my sin and ask him to help the people on the show who practice in the rituals of satan..

I believe you could be spending your time trying to quell larger problems.  Why do you judge and attack the way one chooses to honor the Lord?   Huh
7  Fellowship / For Men Only / Howdy Fellows... on: March 18, 2004, 12:14:29 PM
I have a couple of questions for you....  This is my first time in the men's board, I have discovered this site recently, and I am excited about being here...

I was wondering if any of you have your own business, or at least have experience in purchasing office supplies.  I am in the market for a new printer, and found some ALL-In-One machines for the same price on the staples website...  Do any of you have one of these all-in ones?  It has like a printer/fax/scanner/copier...  Looks good, and it is cheap, good brand, epson, I just want to know how these are...  Thanks guys...

God Bless...

I agree one hundred percent...  Which is almost why I began watching this show...  It presents Pagan religion, and naked people running around and everything, and it exposes it for what it is...  reality tv (or voyeurism or sin).  It is not that I like to learn about these things, but I am rooting for the people to stick to their Christian roots, you know?  Almost like they're martyrs...  If they do not accept these pagan things, they are kicked off the show, and lose the prize money, etc...  Therefore, I would want to leave the show, and I hope many of them DO leave the show...  I was looking for advice, b/c Mad Mad House is on tonight, and is it worng to cheer for these people to stay Christian?  Is it like gambling?  Looking for advice thanks.  I know hollywood is evil for the most part...

I appreciate the insight here...  Thanks a million!  There is a lot of stuff out there designed to look amusing and cutsie that is bad...  I thought I wasokay with certain channels, like I listed before, but I guess I was sooo off base.  I saw the cartoon tripping the rift at a friends house and it was vile.  Cursing sex and other things in a cartoon...  Kids could be watching...

I agree with the whole of you...  I guess I was just surprised when I saw a group of so-called Christians partake in a pagan ritual of fear-cleansing on the Mad Mad House, which is a world of it's own I tell you...  It really spurred me to ask some fellow christians what they thought I guess...  Is this crazy of me to think about?  Is it wrong to see this stuff?  I guess it hit me especially hard b/c it is a reality show, and these people are actually doing these things...  Not just acting them out...  You know?

Pretending you are God is an abomination and an Antichrist.
12  Theology / Debate / I am new... But I have a question... on: March 16, 2004, 04:15:58 PM
Hey everyone...  I was wondering if anyone had an opinion about watching shows featuring other religions and stuff...  Even pagan things...  There are a couple of new shows on Sci-Fi that feature Pagan things and Wicca, I like the shows but feel guilty watching them, what do you all think about it...  Sorry to start off with a question in here...
