I think it's really freaky to be honest with you. The whole spirit of antichrist seems to be getting bigger and bigger unfortunately. didn't Jesus say to his disciples "blessed are those who do not fall away on account of me"....or something like that anyway.

Thanks for all that.....I've often wondered what the background is about the Galatians. I must admit that I'm actually fascinated with biblical history so reading what you've posted is very refreshing.

To me it is saying (and I may be wrong here so correct me if I am) that he is a disciple of Jesus not a disciple of men in general. Men haven't called him but Jesus did.

I think I have actually read some of his books. I'll have a look through my books and see if I've got any there by him.

Entertainment / Books / Re:Left Behind Series

I found the left behind series books a wee bit boring for me I'm afraid but the "raptured" one I mentioned (above) scared the heck out of me because it is more like a hyped up, truthful, scary account of what "could" happen when Christ comes back. It's really a worthwhile book to read. I couldn't put it down.

Entertainment / Books / Left Behind Series

Has anyone out there read the Left Behind series? I got the first book in the series and read it after hearing and reading so many good reviews about it. However I am a little disappointed as I dont think it is as good as what other people think it is. I have also read a similar book called "raptured" by Ernest Angley which actually scared the heck out of me. Any views?

Thanks for sharing your testimony. I was raised Catholic as well by my mother until I pretty much turned to alcohol and drugs as a teenager and then became a Christian when I was about 23 I think. But anyway, can you see throughout your life where perhaps the Lord had his hand on you guiding you?

You know Peachykeen, I really admire you. You seem like someone who wants to stay pure until they are married. Good on you I say!!! I wasn't a Christian when I was a teenager so I didn't know about how God wants us to save ourselves for our spouses but I wish that I had saved myself though for my husband. With so much peer pressure and sex out there in the world, I think you are doing the right thing and once again, I really admire you. keep it up!!!

Fellowship / You name it!! / Re:Is it true that God will provide us our needs?

Yes God does provide for our needs - he's done it too many times for me and my family not to believe it. Every time, we've needed something, it's been provided to us from people we don't know to family members who have given it to us. We've never asked for it but we've prayed for it to God and he has always answered. I can't speak for the "Christians around the world who are starving" though.
