1  Theology / General Theology / Re: The Holy Spirit on: March 24, 2010, 02:08:07 PM
I don't think of the Holy Spirit as an "it" but as the Third Person" of the Godhead, with equal power as the Father and Son. HE, not It, convicts us of sin, and He leads, guides, directs, and teaches us. An IT couldn't do that.

Sorry about that. I forgot how perfect one needs to be when speaking in forums.

I realize the thread is old, but none the less, for me personally, is working with homeless folks. Few things in life bring me more joy.

Hi Folks,
Now this is a fascinating question. One I have never heard before. Of course that is not saying much, but still it is new to me.
My first thought was , sure why not and then the answer came quickly. It is the HS who will guide us in all truth and knowledge and will always point
us to Jesus.

John 16:12 “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. 14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. 15 All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you. NKJV
