1  Theology / Debate / Re: Once Saved Always Saved??? on: May 23, 2008, 04:49:06 PM
I was raised Baptist and taught once saved always saved.  This is also the teaching in the Alliance and Evangelical Free churches that I have attended.  If this teaching is true, they why does Hebrews 6:4-6 say what it does?

Hebrews 6:4-6 (New International Version)

It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age, if they fall away, to be brought back to repentance, because to their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace.
I don't believe in once saved always saved because people can backslide. There are many scriptures about backsliding. Also there is a scripture about your name being blotted out from the lambs book of life. You always have to be accountable for your daily lives. GOD DOESN'T LEAVE YOU, YOU SIN AND LEAVE HIM. Many christians that believe this will be left behind in the rapture.

2  Theology / Debate / Re: The Rapture is after the Mark of the Beast on: May 23, 2008, 04:44:34 PM
I LOVE this phrase ... AMEN!!

             in His service.. Tina
[I agree with you totally. The mark of the beast is after the rapture. When all of the christians are gone that's when the antichrist will feel that he requires everyone to have a mark. The rapture is a reward for reddiness. Those who are ready won't have to endur God's wrath. As in the days of Noah, and Lot -God gave them a way out too. Why would you need to live a spirit filled life if we were all going to suffer in the end? What would be the point? In Matt. Jesus says pray that you may be worthy to escape the snare (trap) and God's wrath. The snare or trap is the tribulation trap. Not for the ones who leave but for the ones who miss the rapture. Lorrie

God has always provided a way of escape for his elect. Like Noah was protected from the flood, and Lot from Sodom. The rapture is a reward for rediness. If your right with God your escape his wrath or tribulation. In Matt.-Jesus says find yourself worthy to escape a snare. Snare is a trap. The tribulation trap. Those who are not ready, so they have to go through the tribulation to be called worthy. Can you imagine hearing about the rapture all your life then all of a sudden your left behind. It's the snare that Jesus was refering to.
4  Welcome / About You! / New here! on: May 21, 2008, 10:14:12 AM
I'm new here, and my name is Lorrie. I'm a christian author and I've written 2 books. One addresses lukewarm christianity, and the other is about spiritual warfare. GOD moved in a mighty way in my life 6 yrs. ago. I was healed of cancer, and panic attacks. I went from poverty to becoming an author writing books. I travel alot with my nursing career but my ministry comes first. GOD has showed me visons of my future and of pending disasters for America. I feel a great urgency to warm people before it's too late.
5  Welcome / About You! / Urgency to get the word out! on: May 21, 2008, 10:05:55 AM
The holy spirit has put a major urgency to get the plan of salvation out now! Time is running out- I've had some visons showing selective judgement coming towards America. Has anyone else had this happen to them?
6  Welcome / About You! / Re: Greetings on: May 21, 2008, 10:02:13 AM
Bill, I see your problem. Man's theology is always questionable. That is why we should just read the bible and go from there. In heaven there will be no separate denominations just christians. Denominations just separate and divide us. We are only one body of Christ. Alot of views that we grow up with we really get from others theology and there actually not even biblical. Like for instance: God only helps those who help themselves- That's wrong- God only helps those who cannot help themselves. I had to start reading, and studying the scriptures and let the holy spirit teach me the truth not men.
