1  Fellowship / Just For Women / Praising Jesus in the bad times. on: July 21, 2007, 08:04:03 AM
I have just finished a book titled Prison to Praise. It talks about us praising Jesus  in everything that happens to us. Whether we find ourselves with multiple sickness, financial problems, even in little annoyances of everyday life. Wow, I know some of you already do this, but it was an eye opener for me.  I just never thought of praying to our Lord in this way. Thank you Lord for allowing this to happen to me, I know that you want me to learn something by this situation. You are in full control and I know that you have allowed this for my own good.
Granted, I have heard sermons on this subject, even read the Bible about praising God in every situation, but somehow I have my eyes opened now. Praising God for EVERYTHING is part of our faith also. I was blind on this subject but now I see.

Praising God in all things builds our faith. I guess the main thing for me that I learned was when something bad happens don't try to fight it and get all upset, but just let God be God and you Praise Him No Matter What... He will never fail you so you just be ready for Him to teach you what you need to know at the time.

Praise God!!
2  Welcome / About You! / Re: Hello everyone! on: July 18, 2007, 12:44:23 AM
If I don't get to post often, don't think I am not here. I caregive 24 hours a day, sometimes up to a week at a time, if the other LPN cannot do her turn. She is a single mom living with her mom and it is hard for her to be away from her children a week at a time. This weekend end job sometimes is full time. Sad  I miss my husband as much as she misses her children, I am sure. But, that is the way it goes, and I try to help her out when I can. Smiley
3  Welcome / About You! / Hello everyone! on: July 16, 2007, 01:08:24 AM
I am new here to this forum and am glad I have found you. I have been a Christian for many years, but not computer savvy for long. I live in the country and work only part time now.  I have been wanting to join a Christian forum for awhile now, so here I am. I have enjoyed some of your discussions, and look forward to the Bible Study that you offer. There is not much to tell about me, just that I am a caregiver to elderly and homebound people. I enjoy this kind of work and actually it is my second career!!! My daughter who is a Hospice nurse got me into this after I supposedly retired. LOLOL. She is an RN and she encouraged me to go back to school and so here I am 54 years old and a LPN. LOL.  I didn't want to work in a hospital, and wanted to do something meaningful so I decided to work with the elderly in their home. I am married to a wonderful Christian man and we have 2 grown children.
