2  Fellowship / You name it!! / Re: Coffee Time! on: February 21, 2007, 09:40:06 PM
Been busy getting retired, and all the paperwork that goes with it Grin

That and I am eyeball deep in reformatting the youth group right now. takes alot of time I guess........more than I thought. We are mimicking Skatechurch (do a search you'll find it Wink) and I have ramps to build and waivers to right and bible studies to plan..........I like the BIBLE STUDIES. I was tiring of the watered down stuff we tried to keep the kids interested in before. Had some real great ideas but the kids just didn't get into it. Its a nice change and they are excited to have fun on skateboards and bikes.

Thats the goal, keep them interested so the seed can be scattered. If they don't come we have lost before we started.

Going to make this a more regular stop over my morning cup...... Wink Nice to see yall again.

Wow it sounds like it's going to be exciting for the youth when you finish. What an awesome ideal. I used to go to a church that mimicked The Gospel Bill show and it was good but your ideal sounds really good and I'm sure that you will reach many youth.   Smiley
3  Entertainment / Animals and Pets / Re: MY CAT on: January 31, 2007, 08:17:03 PM
Hi cats some times do strange things. I have 3 cats and each one has a strange behavior.

Delilah Anne is a Torteshell and loves to lick window screens. A nasty habit but she seems to love it. I am soon moving to a  new house where the windows are too high for her to reach.

Samson is a black Bombay and he will chew on plastic bags and eat them so I have to put all plastic bags out of his reach.

Ebony Jewel is a black Manx and has no tail so she loves to bite the tail of the other 2 cats and dog as they walk past her. I can't figure out why unless she's angry that she doesn't have a tail if that's possible. Lol
4  Theology / Debate / Re: Tithing - Top 10 reasons I don't on: January 21, 2007, 11:13:54 PM
In my thinking, tithing is not just money. It's giving your firstfruits of everything. Giving money but also your time. Just giving of yourself. Christians should give w/a cheerful heart. Not because you have to but because you want to. The more you give the more blessings you recieve.
So True!!
KJV Matthew 6:19-21
 19.  Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
 20.  But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
 21.  For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Yes it's not only about giving money but also our time. One good thing that I enjoy is going to the nursing home and visiting the ones that have no visitors.  It really brightens up their day. Another good thing would be to volunteer at a soup kitchen. I have also done this. You really apreciate life more and all of your blessings.
5  Prayer / Answered Prayer / Blessed With A House on: December 19, 2006, 09:50:52 PM
My family and I are blessed to be soon moving in a bigger home with three bedrooms. My Brother-In-Law's apartment burned down and he has been living with my husband and I since he got out of the burn unit. We have a 2 bedroom house but it's tight for three people when I need some office space. We have been blessed to get an F.H.A loan and are about to close on a house soon. I can't believe how smoothly everything has been going. The Lord is so good to us and he knows just what we need. With the third bedroom I'll be able to have a tiny bit of office space and put in a twin bed for over night guests. We are so excited we hope to be moved sometime in Febuary.
6  Entertainment / Animals and Pets / Re: Cats are Evil! on: December 19, 2006, 09:41:03 PM
Yes well one of my cats did get outside once and all the other cats in the neighborhood beat him up. I had to rush him to the vet and he had to take antibiotics for a week. He not only had bite marks on him but somehow during the fight he bit his tounge. It was really messed up. So my cats will not be going outside.
7  Theology / Debate / Re: Will you go to hell... on: December 09, 2006, 08:40:27 PM
I listen to all kinds of Christian Music including Christian Rock and do not feel that I am going to Hell for it . I do however pay close attention to the lyrics. If the song does not line up with the word of God then I don't listen to it. Smiley
8  Theology / Debate / Re: Joel Osteen and the Prosperity Gospel on: December 09, 2006, 08:31:23 PM
You will NEVER hear a "prosperity preacher" giving his message in Ethiopia, or in Guatemala, or in Ukraine, or in any other impoverished country. Why? Because there is no one there with money with which to line the preacher's pockets.

Yes I've noticed that this seems to be true which is sad.
9  Entertainment / Computer Hardware and Software / Re: Internet Explorer 7 on: November 25, 2006, 07:38:53 PM
I tried that IE 7 and didn't like it at all. I like IE 6 better. I was able to go under add and remove programs unistall it and had IE 6 back. I had one small glitch I kept getting some strange prp ups that said some about my geek and that it was unable to redirect it was a whole bunch of computer gobblety gook that I couldn't understand it popped up non stop and was annoying. I solved the problem by going under system restore and going back to the day before I had installed the yucky IE 7 and restored all of my files and the wierd pop ups was gone. I hope that I never have to see IE 7 again.

I got rid of AOL too. After I got rid of them they tried to trick me into reactivating my account but I was too smart for that. Now they've got some kind of scam going where they are offering some kind of free e-mail or something but I won't get it. Sad

13  Entertainment / Animals and Pets / Re: Cats are Evil! on: November 20, 2006, 11:19:38 AM
It would be wonderful not to have a litter box but that wouldn't work for me as my two girls and a guy have all been declawed and wouldn't be able to survive out side. At least that's what I was told by my vet. Cheesy

Actress Jane Wyatt Of 'Father Knows Best' Dies

October 23, 2006

LOS ANGELES -- Jane Wyatt, the serene actress who played one of TV's favorite moms on "Father Knows Best," has died, according to her publicist.

Wyatt was 96.

The actress died Friday in her sleep of natural causes at her home in Bel-Air, Calif.

Wyatt had a successful film career in the 1930s and '40s, notably  in 1937's "Lost Horizon."

But it was her years as Robert Young's TV wife, Margaret Anderson, on "Father Knows Best," that brought lasting fame.

Wyatt also became known to "Star Trek" fans as Amanda, the human mother of the half-Vulcan Mr. Spock.

:'(This is truly sad as this was one of the decent T.V shows from yesteryear. I enjoy watching Father Knows Best on T.V. land when ever they show it. Cry
