Amen!  There are also "hate" sites that are difficult to detect.  One really good way to protect is to get a good filter.  I teach seminars (http://cybersafetyseminar.com) and have heard story after story after story!  Parents need to take an active role in the lives of their children!

Understanding the foundation of an institution helps you understand how certain conclusions are reached.  Since our public schools believe that education is the answer to all our social ills, it is logical that they would want such education to begin as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, their foundation is flawed.  Jesus Christ is the answer to our social ills!  Much better to teach our 5 year olds to follow Jesus and His Word, then they will have a fighting chance to avoid the tragedy of HIV/AIDS.

This is a huge problem.  I could not agree more.  I work with children and have recently put together a seminar called Cyber Safety Seminar (http://cybersafetyseminar.com).  Many parents think their kids would not get into this stuff - but they do!

It is very natural to be attarcted to a young lady.  I have 4 children and am a principal at a Christian school. 

May I give you some advice?  First, don't try to see this young lady "one on one".  If you try to satisfy your feelings by being alone with her (in my day we called these dates) often the relationship ends up focused on the two of you only and dies eventually.  Instead seek to do things together in a group.  Focus your energy on serving the Lord - while serving God in different capacities you may want to invite her to come along.  This way both of your focus will be on serving God.

Finding a wife is like walking on a path and suddely seeing a valuable coin along the way.  Don't work too hard and don't worry too much!  I admit this is easier said than done.

I think it is brand new.  Some of the stations look similar to SKY and some I have never heard of.

I am thrilled that you are presenting the Scriptural basis for education.  Far too often parents are not interested enough.  Public schools have totally abandoned any type of morality, many Christian schools and home educators have "lost their purpose".  We always need to be riminded what it is we are doing.

What a wonderful collection of Scripture!  I trust those who have their children in educational systems that have as their goal indoctrinating our children into a worldview that is far from the Scripture will take note!

Having been in education for more that 20 years I am amazed at how we sometimes fall into pushing a “system” rather than principles.  Some believe homeschooling is godly because it is “homeschooling”.  Unfortunately, I have seen many home school families that have neglected the very principles your group of Scripture have made so clear.  As a Christian school principal I have witnessed many Christian schools who have also lost their way.  (Just a note here – I have started homeschool support groups and have two siblings who homeschool their children.  I have been in Christian school ministry for over 20 years.)

Homeschooling is not innately godly – remember the priests taught the young men in the synagogues.  Scripture clearly talks of fathers placing their children under the tutelage of others. (Gal 4:2) 

I agree we need to take these verses seriously!!  The headmaster at the school I presently work at wrote a short article on “Option or Conviction” concerning Christian education.  You may find it interesting.

Interesting article.  I think it goes deeper than just the words being spoken.  Out of the abundance of the hear, the mouth speaks.  Parents need to remind themselves that each child is precious!  God has formed them and we are to “die to ourselves” as we disciple and train our children.  That does not mean we should pamper them or give them everything they want, but we are to love and lead them!  We should slow down and invest the time now!  As the principal of a school, too many people come to me when they have already missed golden opportunities in the younger years.  Now they are investing the time they should have years before.  But the late investment is painful and far less fruitful.

Parents of young children, please, please, invest time and recognize that your children are precious gifts from the Lord!
