I know evolution is mans theory and I strongly disagree with i. I don't know what your trying to say. My point was, one shouldn't claim that God could not have created in six days.

In regards to evil I heard a great illustration once. People always ask why does God let evil happen. A professor gave this example to explain what "evil" is.

Say you are standing in a room, there is a light on in the middle of the room. You shut off the light and the room becomes pitch black. Why is the room dark? Because of the absence of light. Evil is the darkness, God is the light. Evil is the absence of God. God is Good, good cannot be apart of evil.

So now to really confuse you, you have to decide what actions are considered evil. When God had armies destroy people it was because He considered them evil.

I find all this truly a useless effort on the part of everyone. I mean, whether you subscribe to the 6 day or intelligent design camp, it's totally irreleveant. As long as you don't subscribe to the evolutionists theory.

The only thing that matter is whether or not you made Jesus your Lord and Saviour. For there is no other name given by which we must saved. All other babblings are irrelevant to this truth.

So I judge not the Schullers, for they will be judged by the Master. Just as I will be Judged also, by the Master.

I'm new here but I must disagree with this statement. If you can say that God couldn't have created the world in six days then your saying that God has limits in what He can do. Which is saying that God is not all powerful. If God couldn't create everything in six days then maybe Jesus wasn't really fully God and fully man because that might be beyond Gods capabilities. God could have created everything with one thought in one split second, but He chose not to.
Saying that it is ok to question Gods truth in the Bible can then lead to questioning other Truths found in His word.
John says the Word was God, we all agree that the Word is Truth, so to say that the Word has flaws is likesaying Christ had flaws, he said "I am the way, the truth and the life".

God has really put it on my heart lately that the church is failing to reach the 20- 30 something (22-39 the baby busters!) age group . Today I checked the statistics at Barna and sure enough they support this idea. The associate pastor at my church has also felt that there is a need here that needs to be filled. We have turned this into our own little research project. We desire to start a Saturday night service at our church and our target group is the 20-30 something age group. So I need all your input. We are trying to find out why church does not appeal to this age group, only 30% claim to go to church and only 31% claim to be born again. Please answer these questions.Your answers would be greatly appreciated.

What kind of sermon appeals to you? (ex. object lesson, story)
What kind of worship appeals to you? (ex. contemporary, mixed)
What kind of atmosphere? (relaxed, busy, comfortable)
