So if the government wants to get rid of Christians, and the folks south of the border want to come up here weather they are allowed or not, I have a solution! We can move south of the border, have our own little Christian country in the warm weather and they can take our places up here! I'm sure any one who dreads to see winter come will agree with me quickly!

We are home schoolers here in West Virginia. Things have actually lightened up here for us for now. Used to be you had to have 4 more years education than the oldest child that you was teaching but that's all been changed within the last couple of years. Brother Tom, I noticed that you said that there were fewer godly parents now than their were when you was growing up, I'm not all that old, but it surprises me the younger people that I talk to that really know nothing about Jesus and very little about church (yeah, that seems back-wards but most really know more about church than they do God!). I just hope I can lead my children the right way so they won't stray when they leave home. It's scary.

Prayer / General Discussion / Re:The Ten Commandments

I'm not saying this is sound theology, but this is just the way I look at it. God wrote the 10 commandments on stone, as far as a human life time goes, stone is forever, but the law of carnal ordinances was written on their paper that only lasts a while. Like I said, I'm no Karl Barth, it's just the way I look at it.

I forgot to mention... we also ride to work together! Lol, I've only known him for a few months but boy oh boy! I don't want to make it sound like he's the devil incarnate, he's actually one of the few people that I can have a real conversation with (although sometimes the tongue ring is distractin! ), he's just lost as lost can be and doesn't want found. I guess it's convenient that he wasn't taught that there is an eternal hell, so even if he chose to believe he doesn't think anything will happen to him.

Hello, My name is Jason, I live in West Virginia, and I'm a Christian. Boy, I'm glad I got that off of my chest! I've recently departed with the oneness pentecostal faith, after preaching it for 7+ years and I'm exploring my non spiritual elitist world and loving it! I look forward to getting to know you all and having some good discussions. Be Blessed! Jason

Fellowship / Witnessing / Have you ever met one of those?

Hello, I gotta question for you. I work with a fellow that was raised in the World Wide Church of God. He has turned so bitter it's unbelievable. He says that he doesn't believe in my God and he gives many reasons. This guy has done his homework, we were discussing today about God's miracles while leading the children of Israel out of Egypt, he was saying that basically it was erosion that caused red clay to fall into the Nile, that caused it to look like blood, that caused the frogs.... you get the point. Thankfully God brought to my remembrance that the vessels of water also turned to blood so that stopped that one. He is in a state of almost constant questioning, and it's always pointed at the only professing Christian in the building ME! Any ideas? He's highly intelligent, well versed in what he doesn't believe and he's persistent! Thanks, Jason
