1  Prayer / General Discussion / Re:God Protects His Own on: April 21, 2005, 06:51:42 PM
People always want proof. But they look in the wrong places, unfortunately.
God does good things for me everyday. I live in Los Angeles and sometimes the parking is really bad. There are these signs on the streets by where I live and if you don't move your car by 8:00am in the morning (on certain days) you will get a parking ticket. I forget everytime; but the thing is, I never get a ticket and other people do. This one guy sitting on the curb (he's there almost every morning) he asked me why I never get a ticket, and I simply told him "God is on my side, that's why". He gave me this puzzled look, noddled then said "ok".  Smiley I NEVER get a parking ticket... and yesterday I went to this place and couldn't read the sign, and someone walked by and said, 'you'll be ok, after 6pm you're fine'.
Interesting, the hand of God even thinks of the little things too.

Of course we know God can do anything.  Wink He doesn't have to wait to the last minute, but from my experience God is always there exactly when I need him. Not a moment to soon, and not a moment to late.

God always waits to the last minute, but he is always right on time and gets the job done.  Smiley

I used to go to a Catholic Church because my Dad was Catholic and at one time, he wanted me to be Catholic and go through the school and everything. My Mom wouldn't allow it, she wanted me in a normal school with normal kids, but I was raised Baptist. I enjoy the Baptist Church and visit one frequently.
I used to go to the Oasis Christian Center in Los Angeles 2 days a week but I didn't like the big show they seemed to put on, and after awhile, it got to a point to where I felt it was sort of a scam, with the big cameras and lighting set-ups and acting skits. I just want to worship God on Sundays, all that other stuff is dressing and gravy, so I'm prone to more conventional churches like a good 'ol baptist church or the Harvest Rock church in Pasadena, california (where several of my friends go on Sundays anyway).
