1  Entertainment / Poetry/Prose / PEACE on: December 16, 2004, 02:22:41 PM
There is a cry for peace, in the world
today, but peace escapes us.
There are always wars and rumours
of wars, that keeps our hearts
in distress.  This is the way that
the evil one designed it to be.
God has foretold us of this in his
Word, but it is up to us to learn to
 understand it.

Everywhere there are always cries for peace,
in the world signs and demonstrations,
are held in protest against the wars continually.
To no avail are they heeded to, because that
spirit is in the world that is working to destruction.
Just when you think that we have achieved peace
in a certain area, news breaks out that war has erupted
in another area. There will be no world peace,
until Jesus comes back for his own.

The only peace that we are assured of having,
is the peace that the Holy Spirit gives us.
The kind of peace that allows us to listen
to his voice, and act upon its instruction.
The kind of peace that leaves our souls
in quiet serenity.   The kind of peace that lets
us know, that even though the world around us
erupts in chaos, we have been given peace, that enables
us to live with the peaceful surety of Heavenly protection.

This was a very beautiful poem, I can see the closeness that you have with the Lord....it shows in your writing.

Keep on writing! I'd like to see more!

Quite a lengthy poem, maybe you should make it a story and send it to a magazine.  There are some real interesting, sad things in the story...would be worth reading in a magazine.

Good writing!  Like to hear more!

Very well written, and what an analogy...the only thing I found was the excess use of Huh

Instead of '

6  Entertainment / Poetry/Prose / WAITING on: December 03, 2004, 01:21:07 AM
If you don’t wait, for what you need
And jump into the fire,
Without waiting, for that perfect sign,
It will only lead you, to trouble.

Out of signs, and wonders
You will see that, which is right.
Cast your bread, upon the waters
Will it come back, to you, or sink within.

You’ve been wandering, in the wilderness of life
Gaining knowledge, wisdom and sight.
Only to use that which is right, for
that perfect time is within your grasp.

You have only acquired,
Because you have learned,
To wait upon that which seems right.
It fits, its uniqueness, is only for you.

In your waiting, you have gained truth,
Trusting that which comes to you.
The lesson you have learned is the perfect way.
Waiting is the test, and it is,
Gold perfected in the fire, this is your prize

I agree this is very much the way a cult behaves.  They brainwash their victims...weak-minded.

 Smiley

When I stand still and see the mountains
Rivers, trees, waterfalls and fountains
I see the creation of God’s hands
Acknowledge all that is our lands
Awesome pyramids, a mystery to unfold
Wonders of the world still untold
All who lives in the water
Beauteous creatures work of the potter

You should stand beneath a tree
Think on how it came to be
Reaching for the sky
To it’s creator on high
All kinds of leaves dressed in green
Changing colours adorned in splendid scene
It’s home to the animals who make their nest
Gathering food and storing the rest

Look upon the people of the earth
Diverse in colour who have given birth
To this our great nation
One of God’s fair creation
Look upon a beautiful one
See their inner parts how it runs
But then the homely is despised
For lack of beauty and never prized

Stand at the edge of a sunny shore
Look at the calm, beauteous sea forevermore
On grey and gloomy days beauty is found
In the midst where stormy, turbulent winds abound
The wind roars with a terrible voice across the sea
Tossing waves violently breaking up to be free
Storm clouds gather racing over the sea
Tumbling together to meet their destiny

Consider the ants and their ways
Blessed with wisdom to fulfill her days
They reap that which they have sown
Building a city where beauty is known
Study the bees drawn to the flowers
They gather to make honey with their powers
To feed their queen
And a world unseen

So much beauty in God’s creation
His handiwork spread throughout the nation
We are made in the image of our creator
Admire the beauty of our originator
How can man compare
To our creator who is all aware
How can you look upon beauty
And not see all created amazingly
