    His Theology?
How do you know how big of a role Mary played in the crucifixion?? Her innocent Son was being tried & put to death! I didn't find her role in the movie at all overplayed. I just got the DVD....I'll watch it again to see the role of the "mystics" .To tell you the truth...the movie blew me away so hard...I don't even remember any mystics. Straining out gnats & swallowing camels over this theology thing. The movie has served as a huge ministry tool. "so that men are without excuse" as the Word would say. Paul has prayed for there to be no divisions in the church & for men not to argue over divisible matters. Sadly....Satan (which was portrayed absolutely EXCELLENT in the movie ) has victory over men in this matter. My whole point is this whole "Damned Catholics" mentality when you don't really know which Catholic know Christ & which one doesn't! "Who are you to Judge someone else's servant?" As our Lord would say ( actually said in the Epistles). Just because these people hold on to trinkets and confess sins to one another in booths doesn't mean we should alienate ourselves from them. I prefer reaching out to Catholics & trying to strengthen them by telling them they don't need any of that(excuse me)"crap".  Anyone searching for the true Christ should be convinced when they read :  As Jesus was saying these things, a woman in the crowd called out, "Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you." He replied, "Blessed RATHER are those who hear the word of God and obey it." That says it all....Mary is as dead as Adam. Anyway , this debate is much larger than I can type. I don't to be divided from any Christian. It's my wish that all can taste the wonderful Holy Spirit. Peace

I too have united with Catholics...after seeing the Passion. Don't you think God is killing multiple birds with one stone by using an "old school Roman Catholic" in the making of that film? I can't believe that Mel Gibson doesn't know Christ after seeing that movie. Does it get the Protestant goad that God used a Catholic for such a wonderful ministry tool (the biggest since the printing of the Bible) and not a Protestant? Food for thought. I agree that Catholic works and rituals are meaningless , worthless , and cumbersome. But I don't think they are indicators of damnation.....weak faith maybe, but certainly nothing to go to hell for. God used Gibson for more than one reason. I had a big "thing" against Catholics before the release of that movie....now I've repented & have eaten my thoughts and words against them. Peace.
