1  Prayer / Prayer Requests / Re:Family in temporary bind on: June 04, 2003, 12:45:03 AM
Wow! You're in a rough spot.  You know the expression, "between a rock and a hard spot"? God is our rock. He's always there and knows what's going on. Sometimes we think God is slow, but everything is by His timing.  He knows your daughter's needs and yours. Maybe he's helping you out in learning trust.  It sounds to me like you're doing pretty good so far.  Prayer is always important. I will be praying for you don't worry.  God has not forgotten about you.  He knows your needs and His plan is in the working.
2  Prayer / Prayer Requests / Re:Restore the relationship or let my heart change on: June 04, 2003, 12:28:43 AM
Looks like you're having a rough time, huh?  Stop and think about something for just a moment. You don't breathe a single breath without God's say-so.  He knows everything that is going on and He knows everyone's heart. No matter what, His plan will prevail and trust Him that you did the right thing. For some encouragement, Matthew 10:19-20. "...do not worry about what to say or how to say it.  For when the correct time comes, it will not be you speaking but the spirit of your Father speaking through you..." Just trust Him, and sit back and watch Him work. Wink
3  Prayer / Prayer Requests / Re:Many needs(HELP PRAYER WARRIORS) on: May 29, 2003, 09:32:48 PM
I am sooooo... right there with you.  I am going through almost the same thing.  All except the kids' well being.  However, when I have children I am sure that I will be asking for the same prayer.  In your situation, you just need to pray and sit back and watch God work.  It makes everything that you're struggling with so much easier because trusting God helps you not worry so much.  And when we're not worrying, it makes us a little more pleasant around others (hint, hint... voice of experience).  Plus, when you just let God take care of it, you can sit back and see your prayers be answered right before your eyes! By the way, I read the response you wrote to my neice's prayer request. Thank you so much! I will e-mail it to her as soon as I can and I am sure that it will bring an abundance of encouragement to both her and her siblings.
4  Prayer / Prayer Requests / I need your prayers and support!!! on: May 24, 2003, 10:38:58 PM
This is being written by my neice who is staying with me. " My parents are going through a divorce right now and all they ever do is argue and bicker. Whenever they're around us they just talk bad about each other but the worse part about this situation is there both leading away from God. My brother and sister and I greive for them because we're worried. Please pray for strength and confort in God.("Though my father and mother forsake me, God will recieve me")."
5  Prayer / Prayer Requests / Please pray for stregnth! on: May 23, 2003, 09:31:47 PM
I have a friend who is not a Christian.  He denied his faith because of hypoctitical Christians.  However, later I found out that he was never even a Christian at all, or so he says. Anyone who knows him can easily see that he is mad at God. He is only seventeen and has been through more hurt in his life than I could ever imagine. I love him like my own brother and have carried this burden for a long time.  God has promised me that he will come back (Philemon 15)and I need stregnth to keep me from doubt.  He is an awesome person but he needs to find God again.  Please pray for wisdom for me to know what to say to him and for stregnth for the long run.  I believe what God promised me and can't wait to see how God will change him.
6  Prayer / Prayer Requests / Re:please pray in agreement, (Mark 18:19). on: May 23, 2003, 09:20:38 PM
Hey, I know the feeling.  I am going through the exact same thing with a friend that is practically family to me also.  God promised me Philemon 1:15.  Check it out for an extra bit of encouragement.  As far as praying Mark 18:19 goes,  try saying "As it is written" before you pray it.  It will put a tremendous amount of power into your prayer.  For example, I loose things constantly.  When I do, I just pray for God to as it is written, bring the hidden things of darkness to the light and I usually find it before I even get the prayer out of my mouth.  But you have to have faith that God will do what you're asking because otherwise, it's useless. Wink
