WolfBrother, I know that I just got to know him. It's not like I wrote I loved him and would drop into depression after leaving him did I? I’ve just taken a likening to him; nothing more. Hard to find many people in the world whom I can actually claim that about, though.

IAmDeath's post wasn't necessarily that bad. I've seen people claim God put them on Earth to have 'fun'. Either way I don’t see how calling him/or her a child and a moron is going to help anything. I admit his/her reply after that was worse but perhaps it wouldn’t have been if pointless insults hadn’t of arrived first.

In relation to the Harry Potter inquiry--

I’ve read 4 out of 5 of them just to see what the fuss was about and they’re honestly, in comparison to much of the media today, not bad. The main plot revolves around wizards and magic, yes... but it’s quite evident of the impossibility of it and the way it’s written gives it more of a child-like feel. If you take it seriously and believe you’re going to be sent a letter from Hogworts then there might be a problem. Otherwise, I believe the Simpsons and American Idol to be more “evil’ than Harry Potter.

I’m not really quite sure if this is the right spot to put this in but nevertheless—

I have been dating a guy for a few months now; he has a grand persona. Except a couple days ago I acquired the fact that he was an atheist. Now, I love God but I’ve also come to care for this guy. Is it alright to have attractions to an atheist? If this continues any further will I merely get burned? He is quite nicer than most other people I meet....

I’m sorry if this sounds like blasphemy in anyway but it’s something I’ve been pondering for awhile...

Pride is supposedly the “mother” of the seven sins in the sense that if you turn it into an arrogance of sorts it causes you to commit all the others. Is this actually 100% accurate? I find the answer here to be no.

Envy, greed, and wrath can all stir up after someone gets their pride hurt so that part is true, yes... however both lust and gluttony seem unrelated to it. Does getting your ego hurt really have anything to do with shallow relationships or over-eating? No, in fact I for one actually don’t eat much of anything when I’m exceedingly hurt inside. Therefore, can someone explain to me exactly how pride is the “mother” of the seven sins?

.... there’s also another thing I don’t get about that though. Gluttony... how come it is a sin? Physical appearance doesn’t matter to God, does it? No, being obese only hurts the person in question physically anyway. It would make sense if drunkenness was counted as part of gluttony yet it doesn’t.
