Can you Answer?
1.When did the gifts of the Holy Spirit cease?
2. When did Paul cease to be bound for the hope of Israel and become the prisoner of the Lord for us Gentiles?
3. When was the Mystery, which had been hid in God from the ages and generations, first preached by Paul?
4. When did Paul cease to preach to speak "none other things" and begin giving a message about which Moses and the prophets knew nothing?
5. When did Paul cease to look for the "rapture" and become resigned to die?
6. When did the preaching of the gospel cease to be to Israel first?
7. When did more than one baptism cease to be required and "the one baptism" become God's order?
8. When did "signs following" cease to accompany water baptism?
9. What is the boundary line between when Paul advised widows NOT to marry, and when he advised the younger widows to marry?
10. When did the preaching of the Kingdom of heaven cease and that of the church of the Mystery begin?
11. When did both Jew and Gentile cease to be blessed thru faithful Abraham and begin to be blessed through Christ only?
12. When was the last time Israel became LO-AMMI (not MY people)?
13. When did believing Israel cease to be a chosen nation, a royal priesthood, and a holy nation?
14. When did Paul lose his power of healing?
15. Why is it that in the last seven epistles of Paul, Ephesians, Philipians, Colossians, 1 & 2 Timothy, Philemon, and Titus; there is no mention of:
- The City - The words "come" or "coming" - Abraham - Tree or trees - Wild Olive Tree - Graft or grafted
Acts 28:28 is the key to all these answers.

Theology / Bible Study / Hear the Word of God...Rightly Divided
|
on: July 05, 2004, 03:36:30 PM
|
There is an important key to Sacred Scripture on how to study the Word of God. Without adhering to this great principle, the Word of God cannot be understood. The result would be confusion. The witness of this confusion is the many different denominations today who do not adhere to God's instructions on how to view and study the Scriptures. 2Timothy 2:15 - "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth."
This verse plainly teaches that: 1. Our one great study is to seek God's approval, and not man's. 2. We are to show diligence in pursuing this study. 3. As workmen, our aim is to have no cause to be ashamed of our work 4. In order to gain God's approval and avert our own shame, we must rightly divide the word of truth. 5. To do this we must direct our studies in the right way. 6. The great requirement is associated with the Word in its special character as being the Word of truth (i.e.) the TRUE Word.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
We shall not get the truth if we do not rightly divide. We shall only get the truth only in proportion to our "rightly dividing"it.
Unless we do this, we can't grow in knowledge or grace. We will ever be learning, but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. (2 Peter 3:18)
One example (and there are many) of this is the difference between law and grace. To read in this age of grace and believe that the Gentiles are under the laws and covenants of the Jews is to disbelieve all that pertains to grace apart from the law. For it was to the Jews that the convenants, laws, and ordinances were given. (Rom.9:4) But now, in this age of grace, both Jews and Gentiles today have been given complete grace, apart from the law. The nation of Israel, is in abeyance, because of unbelief (Acts 28:25-28) but, they will continue to fullfill all that pertains to the Kingdom and the laws of the Kingdom at some future time. Right now, the believer is to be established in present truth, or the result will be much error and confusion.
Paul through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit tells both Jews and Gentiles today - Eph 2:8.9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Eph 2:15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; Eph 2:16,17,18 - And that he might reconcile both unto God (Jew and Gentile) in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

I am a member of The Heaven based, Invisible, Living, Spiritual Body of Christ. And there is no other. i.e. No other earthly, visible man-made, organized, religious body--recognized by God that is. God, is only building "ONE BODY". And it's "ONE FAITH". Satan, is building all other "different bodies" and their many"different faiths". Is Yours included?
His Messenger.
Does the body have a physical presence? yes, each member

I have a suggestion. There are many topics that are titled "My Testimony". It would probably be a good idea to give your testimonies a creative title. ie: If your testimony involves a holiday, then you might set your title as: "God and I on Vacation". ..or something like that, 'just a suggestion MrLeN good idea

I think what he is trying to say is, will those who don’t believe in the Admin’s version of Christianity be banned, to put it bluntly.
Tibby do you believe this: You must believe in salvation by grace alone, and that salvation is immediate and eternal upon acceptance of Jesus as a one-time sacrifice for your sins, and not obtained through any works, sacraments, traditions or merits of our own. < ))>< I agree 100% <))><

Theology / Apologetics / Opinions please: Forgiven for future sins?
|
on: June 12, 2004, 09:53:12 AM

Hi all,
I know that when I prayed to accept Christ as my savior many years ago, that I was forgiven of all my sins to that point. I know because I asked for it. My slate was wiped clean. Yet - like all of us - I continue to sin. And I faithfully continue to ask for forgiveness of these sins. But recently, my mother brought up a very intriguing point...
As always - thanks for a push in the right direction!
Try this on for size - Are you saved? I'm assuming you are. Then if you are saved then you are in Christ: 1 Cor 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: Eph 5:30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. You are in Christ (and you are if you are saved) and Christ is in heaven at the right hand of the Father, right? Then if you are in Christ and Christ is in heaven then you are in heaven right now: Eph 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: So...stay with me here...when God looks for "fastback" He looks to His right and there sits Jesus Christ and guess who is there in Jesus Christ - you!!! Question - is Jesus perfect? Are you in Christ? Then guess what? You are perfect in Christ - that is how God sees you, He sees you perfect in Christ. Now, to the issue at hand - can there be any sin or unforgiveness in heaven? No, so guess what, you are forgiven in Christ!!! Now, down here you are in a mess if you are normal like the rest of us saints. But the real you (in Christ) is seated in heavenly places in Christ, perfect, without sin, forever!!! This is how God sees the real you. Yes, you are allowed to shout on this forum - we are not all dead. P.S. - dont' be surprised if some joy-stealer will come behind this post and tell you you have to confess and beg for forgivenss eveytime you mess up - expect this. May God bless Amen

Theology / Debate / Whats Your Favorite Drink?
|
on: June 12, 2004, 09:44:50 AM
|
Matthew 6:25. Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
Sooooooooooooo You also like Ice Tea Ollie Hmmmmm? Did I miss a hidden meaning somewhere along the line? I do like ice tea. I have no favorite liquid refreshment. There are many that I can take or leave. That is if we are talking about physical liquids that we consume through the mouth. There is the Holy Spirit that we should be drinking in with unquenchable thirst. He will pour himself all over and throughout the faithful. Ollie "Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, AS SILVER AND GOLD, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; "But with THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF CHRIST, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot" (IPet.1:18,19).
