I am grateful for all the past prayers and replies to my post.  I read them all many times.  My husband, David, has been gone in training since June and is heading to Iraq from Kuwait TODAY.  (He was in the part-time National Guard when he asked to go with another unit.  We haven't ever had to deal with anything like this and we are 5 hours away from the other families and support group and I know none of them.)  We have all heard about the convoy bombings and it is a scary trip.  Please pray extra for him over the next few days.  My fourth child is due New Year's Day and I am having many contractions so I know it will be soon.  With the holidays approaching it is getting emotionally very difficult to stay strong, especially for my children.  My oldest who is 7 is having a hard time being without daddy for the first time. Thank you again for your specific prayers-I know God is good and will help me through this, but my faith falters occasionally and I feel very weak.

IT happened!  My husband is officially gone and I won't see him again for a minimum of 18 months unless this war situation changes.  We found out 3 days after he received the call for deployment that I am expecting our fourth (and last) child.  My oldest is 7 and hates that his beloved best friend is gone for a long time.  I am not very strong alone and I need prayer for strength, faith, and patience with my children...lots of it!  My hormones seem a little wacky these days!  It is very hard to watch the news.  If anyone know a lady going through a similar situation please ask her to email me.  My husband went with another unit 5 hours away so I am not near the other families and I do not know them.  Keep praying for peace and the safety of our soldiers.  My husband's name is David-please pray for him especially. Hello everyone!  Does anyone know where I can find true reviews on the different cartoons that are on television?  My 7 year old son wants toys and videos like his friends have, but I am not sure what to allow him and what not to without knowing what they stand for or what they are about.  I would like to give him the reasons why I do not allow certain toys of certain characters without just saying "because I am the mom and I said so."  Any opinions would be greatly appreciated also!

It sounds as though you have your hands full with three little ones and a husband.  Hopefully, all is going smoothly, or should I say as smoothly as possible.

My hands are quite full-but not as full as they were when they were in diapers or potty training!  I would not say marriage is smooth for us-I would say it has its ups and downs.  Right now he is debating about taking a leave for 18 months to go to Iraq to help.  This is when I am learning alot about faith and how to really trust God.  I did not expect to have to deal with certain issues at 29, but I have had to mature quickly!  The decision will be made soon.

Hello-this is my first time here.  I am a homemaker and have 3 children-boy-7, girl-5, boy-3.  The book that keeps me sane is "To Train Up A Child"  (author-Pearl).  I am married and have been a Christian since I was 19.  I had to make a lot of changes since I was already living in the world.  I still struggle, but enjoy seeing the results from living right.  We have an excellent church that is active in serving God and that has helped me more than anything.  My husband is an Officer in the guard and I am curious to know if there are any others in the forum that are having to deal with the issues that have come up since this war started.
