The first century Jewish historian Josephus described the Jerusalem Temple in great detail. DON'T PANIC!!

I've noticed several of my friends (FB) sharing some seemingly concerning information regarding alleged missing verses from modern translations of the Bible.

Every so often these accusations pop up from KJV only sources and we should be informed as to where our English translations of scripture come from.
The reason these verses "are not in" newer translations is because the textual evidence doesn't support them being in the original Greek manuscripts.

The simplified version is that the KJV version used the oldest Greek manuscripts available to them at the time, but with the discovery of older documents, we have discovered that the manuscripts the KJV used had some additions that are not present in the older copies.

Newer translations typically include these verses in the footnotes with the disclaimer that they are not found in the earliest Greek manuscripts that we now posses.

The good news is, no additions are so grievous that they change any core Christian doctrine!
There is no massive conspiracy regarding our English translations (though I agree some are better than others),  but if you are worried about it, learn Greek!! The KJV is not perfect either!!

New Delhi: A 14-year-old tribal girl was allegedly raped and then hanged from a tree in Jharkhand’s Dumka on Friday, said BJP leader Babulal Marandi in a tweet. Firstpost contacted Deputy Commissioner Dumka Ravi Shankar Shukla who said that the investigation into the matter is underway.

Babulal Marandi in his tweet said, “A tribal girl from Dumka was allegedly raped and hanged from a tree by a boy named Armaan Ansari.”

In another tweet, Babulal Marandi shared the Aadhaar Card of the girl and said, "According to the information received, this Santhal tribal girl was just 14 years old. The possibility of this matter being linked to the international network of love jihad also cannot be ruled out."

Bareilly: Hindu man found murdered, family says he was killed over love affair with madrasa cleric Nisar Ahmed’s daughter

On Saturday, September 3, the body of a 22-year-old youth was found hanging from a tree in Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly district. The deceased, identified as Sunil Kumar, was killed over an alleged love affair with a girl from the Muslim community. Sunil Kumar’s body was found hanging from a mango tree in a field near his house in Jianagla village in ​​Bareilly. His mouth was gagged and his hands and legs were tied with a rope.

Muslim cleric arrested in J&K for passing sensitive information about Indian Army to Pakistan

The police have arrested a Muslim cleric from Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar district for allegedly passing on sensitive information about the security forces to Pakistan. He was also allegedly assisting a Pakistan-based terror outfit called Kashmiri Janbaz Force.

Earlier, officials detected the involvement of a person in passing on information about the deployment and the movement of security forces to a Pakistan-based terrorist group.
