 What is the Mark of the Beast? If it were to happen today could you identify it? If you could identify it what good would it do? Would the knowledge of the Mark make a believer out of an atheist? I think it all comes down to faith. Some people are supposed to see while others are not, no matter what proof is given.  So what is the main purpose for studying prophecy and looking for the Mark of the Beast?  I believe that purpose is to show who God really is and expose a false religion. Islam is that false religion. It has drawn one third of the world’s population to a false God and is ready to destroy the world in defense of it. There are other false religions in the world but none as violent as Islam. Islam is at war with all peoples; Jews, Christians, Hindus, Atheists, you name it, and even other Muslims.

 This letter was born out of a question by an astute reader. It was very thought provoking and led me to another answer I was looking for. Its timing couldn’t have been better. As it is with most knowledge, a question has to be asked before an answer can be found. So here is the question.

Could you explain how the dipping of fingers into ink when voting is consistent with the mark of the beast? It seems to me that people are pressured into getting the mark of the beast in revelations because without it they can't get the necessities of life.

 This question is in regards to my belief that the Mark of the Beast was given to the Palestinian people during their Presidential Election on January 9, 2005. This Mark was applied to their right thumb and prevented an individual from double voting. It was supposed to last for about 48 hours. On the surface it would seem that a mark on the right hand with indelible ink is nothing more than its purpose, to prevent double voting. On the other hand, what if you just voted for the beast and were unaware of it. The mark of the beast can be three things: his mark, his number or his Name. Christianity likes to blend two of these ideas together and say that the Mark is the number 666 inscribed. This is just one example there are many others.
 
 Did this mark directly cause the people to be able to buy and sell? The words in Revelation 13:16 provide a good clue. He caused all, both small and great, rich and poor, or free and bond to receive this mark. Why would someone who is great, rich and free need to get any sort of mark in order to buy anything? A person in high esteem with lots of money (maybe a government official) needs no permission to buy anything, he does as he pleases. The opposite of that is what gets my attention more. If a man is small, poor and in jail why would he need to get a mark? If he is in jail he would have relatively no need for money as he would be getting his food and shelter from his jailors. The short answer is that the mark was given to all even those in jail who voted in the Palestinian Presidential Elections. This mark identifies the second beast and was only indirectly involved in their ability to buy and sell.

 The situation that caused a lack of funds in the PA government was due to the Election of Hamas as ruling party a year later. Since no western government was providing aid to the Palestinians it became apparent that the PA government would slide into anarchy and collapse. Therefore, a temporary mechanism was created by the international community to allow money to be given to essential PA institutions while bypassing the Hamas Government. All money going to these essential humanitarian institutions will be distributed through the office of the President, Mahmoud Abbas. Now, through the name of one man, the people are able to buy and sell namely because many will be receiving salaries. Now you have two items which identify the beast, a mark which was given when he was elected and his name which will allow funds to be given. There is only one other thing that can identify him and that is his number. That number is 666.

 Gematria is the most common way scholars use to find his identity. A system that applies a number value to letters to see if an individuals name will come to the sum of 666. One guess is as good as another in this system and many people’s names add up to 666. Any answer would just be a guess and provide relatively little proof to back it up, therefore I never devoted much time to this theory.
 
 In my search I was more concerned with how and why and when Mahmoud Abbas was going to bring about his peoples ability to buy and sell. That answer came with the election of Hamas. Hamas was the reason why the PA had a lack of funds. The international community, through a temporary mechanism sponsored by the Quartet, was how they were going to get the funds. The last thing is the most surprising. The Quartet (US, UN, EU and Russia) agreed on this international mechanism to fund the PA on June 16, 2006 on a Friday. This happened on the sixth day of the week in the sixth month on the sixteenth day in the year 2006. It seems the event I was looking for happened on a 666 day, one of only three in the whole year. I think most people were more concerned with June 6, 2006.

 Remember, the mark of the beast can be three things: his mark, his number or his Name. All three of these items point to the second beast. They describe him as an adjective does a noun. It is how they are interpreted that either blinds us or lets us see. Therefore, what I have done is link the number 666 to his name instead of the number to the mark. It was a coincidence that this find ever happened. I wasn’t looking in this direction when it found me. I was following the money.

 I would be remiss if I didn’t mention one more thing.
I usually don’t make too many predictions and only write about events after the fact, but here goes. Since writing this letter and pondering the situation in Israel, I have thought of another possibility for the Mark. Any referendum held by the PA that advances policy allowing the international community to provide international aid to the PA would qualify. It would qualify as long as a Mark is applied to the hands or forehead and is given to all Palestinians just as mentioned in my remarks on Revelation 13:16.

 In summary, Jesus is Lord and he is coming soon.

A clearer understanding of this will be gained by first reading it.

What constitutes an Image? The definition of an image is a likeness of someone or something. It is something that represents a person or thing. If someone saw this image he would know exactly who or where it came from and for what purpose this image was created. Many Christians believe that in the book of Revelation an image will be created of the first beast that will both speak and kill all those who do not worship it. Their interpretation is that a statue will be erected of this beast and somehow it will be inspired to talk through some miracle of Satan. Maybe this interpretation was acceptable some years ago but at this very close proximity to coming of the Lord I do not see why they continue with these myths. All that can happen with this continued deception is that the lost souls who are left on earth to endure the Great Tribulation will have no knowledge to help guide them in their trying time. Many will be saved during the Great Tribulation so it is imperative Christians stop being politically correct and understand who their enemy is.

Revelation 13:11, "And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon."

As stated in ephraem. com horns in the Bible mean kings or leaders of a country. The second beast arose on Jan. 25, 2006 in the election of Hamas to the Palestinian parliament. Many thought they would win enough seats to be a formidable opposition. No one, including myself, thought Hamas was going to win the election. Now they are in charge of the Palestinian Authority. Fatah which represented the first beast, Arafat and Mahmoud Abbas, has now lost power and moved aside for the appearance of the second beast Mahmoud Abbas and Hamas. Abbas (Fatah) is the President of the Palestinian Authority and will now share power with Hamas.

Revelation 13:12,"And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed."

Hamas exercises all the power of the Palestinian Authority and caused them to worship the first beast. This took place when Fatah, after losing the election, feared Hamas would take over the security forces and forced all security officials to swear an oath of allegiance to Mahmoud Abbas. The word worship should be translated as honor. The deadly head (nation) wound is Gaza and all the land given back by Israel to the Palestinians during the course of the Oslo Accords and the Roadmap for Peace.As land has been given back the deadly wound is being healed.

Revelation 13:14,"And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live."

 What is the Image of Mahmoud Abbas? Is it reasonable that a statue will be made of him and Muslims will worship it? Muslims would never worship Abbas; they revere their God and his Prophet. Mahmoud Abbas certainly does stand for something. This image has been portrayed in the news constantly since the election of Hamas. It is the reason Oslo even had a chance. It is exactly the opposite of what Hamas believes. Abbas stands for the right of Israel to exist. He stands for all the agreements signed between Israel and the Palestinians and he stands for the idea of a two-state solution. This Image of him is what is being pushed on Hamas. An Image Hamas will not accept.

Revelation 13:15," And he had power to give life unto the Image of the beast, that the Image should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed."

Hamas and Mahmoud Abbas have power to give life unto the Image of the beast. They together can accept the principles of Mahmoud Abbas or reject them.
These principles are the basis for furthering the peace process with Israel. If these principles are ignored and not honored, many will be killed by Israel.
All of my interpretations and declarations concerning prophecy are based on things I have seen. I know there will be many things that I do not see. When Christians go home to be with the Lord I will be with them. Be prepared, Satan will soon be cast out of heaven to earth. He will be here for three and a half years. Let no man tell you he is God. All faith must be in Jesus Christ our Lord and he will appear after the tribulations to come.

This is a very interesting interpretation ephraim.   One that I would have a hard time agreeing with I'm afraid though.   A few points of contention would be as follows...


Where does it specifically say the first beast is replaced by a second?   It sounds more like they are working together upon closer examination.

 I agree that it doesn't say he was replaced but you have to know who the first beast is in order to know why a second beast arose.

Another verse that is difficult to align with your view is....


Rev 19:19  And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
Rev 19:20  And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshiped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.


So the beast is alive at the end, whereas Arafat is now not.

You have taken these two verses completely out of context. I'll bet i can do the same thing hundreds of times to any issue you put forward. Verse 19 is an event in  heaven, after the Rapture of Christians before the Great tribulation. Verse 20 is a picture after the Great Tribulation and is after the final harvest of earths inhabitants. This is why the false prophet was never mentioned in verse 19. He was not in heaven after the first rapture but Arafat was...

There is only one flaw with your theory. Arafat is dead, he hasn't risen from the grave. So Arafat can't be the anti-christ. With that, you have voided and nulled your whole post.

    I guess all I have to do is address this first sentence since you have null and voided my whole
  post with it. Arafat represents the beast of Revelation 13. His cause is taken up by the rest of
  the beast nations, all of whom hate Israel. This is the image of the beast with seven heads and
  ten horns written of in Revelation 13. Arafat is the little horn. he is mentioned in the book of
  Daniel. It stands to reason if the first beast has been replaced by another beast that he has

I have also searched for what the mark could be for many many years. Therefore, it is essential that you know who the first beast is so you can determine exactly what the mark is. The number 666 in the bible literally means mark. Could the number be relevant? Possibly, but not likely. This mark stands for a specific individual.



The majority of Christian teachers say the beast has not appeared and a person will not know who the beast is prior to the rapture of the church. Therefore, it is wrong to look for him because it is not relevant to a Christian. One may speculate as to his identity but since Israel has not made a covenant with the anti-christ the seven year tribulation has not begun. This seven year time frame has been misinterpreted and caused many to be confused. Not that seven years don’t exist concerning the covenant, but the problem is where they fit in the chronology.

These kings shall have power with the beast and give their power and strength to him for one hour. Many have said that they are hills that pertain to a specific city. Particularly Rome which is supposed to sit on seven hills which would somehow make the Vatican the seat of the anti-christ. Which countries in Europe do you suppose are going to attack Israel and join with the beast of Rev. 13? I'm here to say that none of them will. The only possibility is that the beast is from Europe and he leads a confederation of Muslim nations against Israel. Before I get to what are the seven heads of Rev. 13 something else must also be included here. The beast is supposed to have subdued or plucked up three of the ten kings, Dan.7. Why does the beast subdue himself or eliminate three of those who are thought to be on his side? The answer is that Rev. 13 is not only a picture of the Muslim nations but also of Israel. The three kings subdued by beast number one are from Israel. So if the beast of Rev.13 has ten kings but three are not with him that leaves seven kings who must be. If a study of the word mountains is done in the Bible a pattern will emerge. Mountains can also be a nation or nations. Therefore seven heads are seven mountains and the seven mountains of Rev. 13 are nations, Muslim nations. These seven nations are Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Jordan and Egypt. The ten kings are all the present rulers of these countries plus the three that are subdued by Arafat. These are Peres, Netanyahu and Barak. That makes ten. Arafat is the little horn, which is the eleventh, and represents the land of Palestine. Collectively these nations compose the beast of Revelation 13 with Arafat as their leader. The covenant of Daniel 9:27 was between Arafat and Rabin in Sept. 1993. It was the Oslo Accords and lasted until Sept. 2000 with the start of the Palestinian uprising. The translation of the word many in Daniel 9:27 is Rab.The three kings subdued by the beast all happened during the seven years of the Oslo Accords. It was written in Israeli newspapers that Arafat was proud to say he affected the elections in Israel three times. Every time a terrorist incident occurred the Israeli public would vote in someone else. Another parable that shows Arafat is the beast of Rev. 13 is verse 3. One of his heads is wounded to death and the deadly wound is healed. This word head refers to a nation. Seven heads are seven mountains and seven mountains are seven nations. The deadly head [Nation] wound is the land taken by Israel in the 1967 war and wanted by the Arabs for a Palestinian homeland. As land is given back to the Arabs through negotiation it is being healed. Arafat was able to operate for three in a half years and in the middle of the 7 years negotiations failed culminating in the uprising in Sept. 2000.

I used to assume like most other Christians that all verses with numbers fit within the seventieth week of Daniel. I soon learned after watching the events in Israel and reading the Bible that there may be an alternative interpretation. I fell into the same trap that scholars across time have done. The only difference between us and them is that we are living it and they were just interpreting scripture. The bottom line is the seven year period of Daniel 9:27 is over. We are now awaiting the start of Rev.12 which is very close. Once Satan is kicked out of heaven he will be a God to all those who have rejected Jesus.

Also, I would like to add that when the Lord speaks of the Abomination of Desolation in Matthew 24 he is not referring to Daniel 9:27 which is a play on words but Daniel 11 and 12. The Abomination does not fall within the 7 years of Daniel 9:27...

Back to Arafat. If you know who the first beast of Revelation is then the Second beast can be found.

Abbas vowed not to rest until an independent Palestinian state was established, settlements were dismantled and Palestinian refugees were given their rights.
"The principles of Yasser Arafat, and his sayings, are his will and it is our duty to implement it," Abbas said.

This brings me to the mark of the beast. If I am declaring that the second beast of Revelation 13 is Mahmoud Abbas, what is his mark? During the election for President of the Palestinian Authority, after a person voted, he was forced to put his right thumb in indelible ink that lasted for 48 hours to prevent double voting...Abbas was the direct cause for the indelible ink mark. It was applied to all no matter what economic status they held.

I'm sure that many will say how does this prevent them from buying and selling. This is where a concordance will help. The word buy means to gather as in gathering where people gathered in ancient times, the marketplace. The King James translated it as buy. So if you gather at a specific place what else can you do? Voting requires a person to be at a specific place also. A vote for the false prophet or the second beast will bring eternal damnation and in effect a person has sold their own soul...

Revelation 14:9-10 ..."If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb."

 One other thing of interest. On August 15, 2005 Israel implemented the Disengagement plan in Gaza and the West Bank. By all accounts this looks like the Abomination of Desolation spoken of by Jesus to his disciples.

It's been a long time since I have written anything. I've just been watching patiently and keeping a good record. The bottom line is this. Jesus is God and what he said was true. All others are pretenders to the throne.

During the election for President of the Palestinian Authority, after a person voted, he was forced to put his right thumb in indelible ink that lasted for 48 hours to prevent double voting...Abbas was the direct cause for the indelible ink mark. It was applied to all no matter what economic status they held.

I'm sure that many will say how does this prevent them from buying and selling. This is where a concordance will help. The word buy means to gather as in gathering where people gathered in ancient times, the marketplace. The King James translated it as buy. So if you gather at a specific place what else can you do? Voting requires a person to be at a specific place also. A vote for the false prophet or the second beast will bring eternal damnation and in effect a person has sold their own soul...

Revelation 14:9-10 ..."If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb."

One other thing of interest. On August 15, 2005 Israel implemented the Disengagement plan in Gaza and the West Bank. By all accounts this looks like the Abomination of Desolation spoken of by Jesus to his disciples.

It's been a long time since I have written anything. I've just been watching patiently and keeping a good record. The bottom line is this. Jesus is God and what he said was true. All others are pretenders to the throne.

   This statement would be better said all men concerned will except their mark. Christians will not except this mark as they will already be in heaven. The mark of the beast is the name, or the number of his name or his mark. Any of which will send a soul to eternal damnation.  Whether you want to believe it or not the beast of Revelation 13 also includes Israel.  There could be no conflict without the participation of an adversary. The beast subdues three kings , this is also the little horn , or little nation as horns represent nations. The image of the beast rising up out of the sea includes Israel in as much as it shows how the beast and the members of his confederacy confront Israel...

Remember horns represent kings. It never says anywhere that these kings cant all be from the same country. Democracy and freedom to vote have caused the Israeli people to vote in and out Prime Ministers mostly based on the ebb and flow of the peace process.    The Beast of the Sea – Rev. 13

“And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns.” The ten horns are ten kings, Rev. 17:12. "And here is the mind which has wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the women sitteth", Rev.17:9.

The mystery of the seven heads is one of the biggest stumbling blocks to the understanding of Bible prophecy. As a result of a misinterpretation, scholars have caused all other prophecies to be misinterpreted. This widely accepted mistake has blinded the Christian world. God will surely come as a thief in the night. The beast nations do not involve a Revived Roman Empire. Also , the concept that Rome is the seat of the beast simply because it sits on seven hills is also false. The connection that has to be made concerning this prophecy is that 7 heads are 7 mountains and the 7 mountains are 7 nations. In other words, when mountains are used in scripture many times it is referring to nations. The last beast empire is Islamic.

The seven nations that compose the beast empire are Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Jordan and Egypt. The ten kings are all the present rulers of these countries plus the three that are subdued by Arafat. These are Netanyahu, Barak and Sharon. Arafat is the little horn, which is the eleventh, and represents the land of Palestine. Collectively, these nations compose the beast of Revelation 13 with Arafat as their leader.

The beast with seven heads and ten horns is Yasser Arafat. He is mentioned in Dan. 11:23. "And after a league made with him he shall work deceitfully: for he shall come up, and shall become strong with a small people". Dan. 9:27 says it more precisely. " And he [Arafat] shall confirm the covenant with many [Rabin] for one week".

There is a major difference between the beast, false prophet and the Antichrist. These are three separate individuals. 2nd Thess. chapter 2 talks about the man of sin. This is the Antichrist. He cannot be revealed until the falling away first. This falling away happens when Satan and his angels are cast out of heaven. This is written in Rev. chapter 12. The Antichrist is Satan. He will not be revealed until the rapture happens first.

This only leaves the false prophet, Abu Mazen or Ahmed Qureia. This man has all the power of the first beast [ARAFAT] and causes them to worship him, whose deadly wound was healed. The deadly head [Nation] wound is the land taken by Israel in the 1967 war and wanted by the Arabs for a Palestinian homeland. As land is given back to the Arabs through negotiation it is being healed.

"And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space”. Rev. 17:10

In 1948, in Israel's war for independence, they were attacked by 5 Arab nations. These nations were Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq and Egypt. All of these nations lost the war and in 1949 four of them signed armistice agreements.

And one is, refers to Israel. Israel won its war of independence.

The other that had not yet come was Yasser Arafat and the Palestinian Authority.

“And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition." Rev. 17:11

Due to Yasser Arafat’s corruption and terrorism, Israel and the United States ended negotiations with him and called for new Palestinian leadership. Abu Mazen was elected new Palestinian Prime Minister and is the eighth and is of the seventh [Arafat]. Once the Arabs take over Jerusalem , the Prime Minister will cause them to worship Arafat and Satan.
