Hi! I wondered if there's any interest in seeing some photos on these forums. I love photography and would say that it's my main hobby now. I'm strictly an amateur! Rose of Sharon

This beautiful rose reminded me of the verse that says, "I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys.' Song of Solomon 2:1This was one of the last roses from my garden and I set it on the back step at my kitchen door to take this.

NEAR WHERE I LIVE...
THE CN TOWER in TORONTOLook up! Way up! It's very difficult to get a photo of it due to the surrounding buildings and the height of this highest free-standing structure in the world. CN TOWER with the SKYDOMEThis photo was taken from the rear seat of a very fast moving vehicle on the Gardiner Expressway! [/b]

Thanks so much for the comments! Here's two more... If Tears Built a Stairway to Heaven
On my husband's birthday, my dog and I spent some time at the grave remembering our good times in our 40 years of marriage.
We planted daffodils, chased squirrels (at least Geordie did!)
The sun was very bright--almost too bright.

Waiting For His Master
Each time we go to Jack's grave, this is where Geordie spends some time, just gazing at the grave.
Then he spots a squirrel and takes off but this short time seems to be special for him when first arriving.

These are all beautiful pix, patz. You have a nice style.
TimothyVaughn here takes some nature photos.
Yours are very well composed. I think your first one, the rose, I like the best.
Is that stone at the grave site. Very long ago hubby pass away?
How do you pronounce your dog's name?
I know you sure miss your good hubby, huh. I'm sorry you lost a good friend.

Thanks! Yes, I sure miss Jack. He was my best friend for 40 years. Geordie is pronounced like "Jordy". His name comes from a hill in Scotland near to Lockerbie. We always were impressed by the border collies over in the U.K. when we were hiking and so we wanted to have a UK type of name for him. He's 9 now. Jack passed away almost 4 years ago now but it seems like only 4 weeks sometimes. Yes, that stone is at the grave. We don't have a proper memorial stone yet. I hope that Timothy has some photos on the site that I can see. It's become a real nice hobby for me to fill in my lonely times although I've been interested in it for years. Thanks again.

Your Welcome. Well, I just checked Tim Vaughan. Click on his name in the member list, and then you can bring up his posts from there, his nature photos should be among his regular posts there, I think. They are quite interesting. If you need help let me know. Yes, I'm sure it seems like yesterday. I've lost several in my family over the last few years; 'seems like they're still here, in the next room. So you live in city. Is the grave near? It looks like it's near. It's a very neat looking, tidy grave yard. And with a stone bench right there, I guess. That's nice. The grave yard I goe to doesn't have any benches around at all. Kinda weird. (I guess they're saying, "You're next, buddy, so don't worry about sitting down." ).
