For a friend

A on-line friend of mine that I've known for a good two years now has gotten the worse news that a mother can get, and that is that her son, Hoby might have lost his life in Irag this week. She doesn't believe it right now and has asked for prayer that this isn't true. I prayed that it isn't, I also prayed that if he is injured that the Lord will send someone to minister unto him, that he will be given the opportunity to accept Jesus Christ as His Lord and Savior, will ask for forgiveness of his sins, and come to repentence, and also I asked God to please send His angels to Dianne and her hubby, and Hoby's new wife who is pregant .... to comfort them, and prayed for their salvation also.

Could you please add them to your prayers?

"Hoby was shot in the shoulder and it severed the arterie....he died yesterday in an ambush in Iraq. I don't know anything else. Crystin has been notified and on Monday will have more details. My son Chris called to tell me. Thank you."

I am so sorry to hear this. There is not enough words to convey my feelings for this family nor the things that they have and are enduring at this moment. I want to say thank you for these sacrifices but it is not enough.

May God give them comfort in knowing that it is not without a good cause.

So sorry for the sad news. May God lift up you and his family and his wife. It is so hard when this happens, it makes us question why we are over there, but then the word freedom comes to mind. We have freedom because they are fighting for it, for us. I salute the women and men over in Iraq and I salute Hoby. He died a hero.

I echo in agreement the prayers of all the posters.  May our precious Lord and Savior be the strength and comfort of all of you in this very sad time.  His death was not in vain.  He IS a hero.  Father God, through Jesus Christ, bless this family and their friends in this time of need.
