The most beautifull, Sancte Deus, composed by Thomas Tallis

Sancte Deus, sancte fortis,
sancte et immortalis, miserere nobis,
Nunc, Christ,
Te petimus miserere quaesumus,
qui venisti redimere perditos;
noli damnare redemptos,
quia  per crucem tuam
redemisti mundum.

The english translation is great, but you just don't get the same feeling singing it in English. Isn't Chanting just wonderful? So plain and basic, by at the same time, wonderful and beautiful!

Lift Your Name On High!

Lord, I lift Your name on high;
Lord, I love to sing Your praises;
I'm so glad You're in my life;
I'm so glad You came to save us.

You came from Heaven to earth;
To show the way,
From the earth to the cross,
My debt to pay,
From the cross to the grave,
From the grave to the sky;
Lord, I lift Your name on high!

Lord, I lift Your name on high;
Lord, I love to sing Your praises;
I'm so glad You're in my life;
I'm so glad You came to save us.

You came from Heaven to earth;
To show the way,
From the earth to the cross,
My debt to pay,
From the cross to the grave,
From the grave to the sky;
Lord, I lift Your name on high!

Go & Sin no More

I've sinned come on my knees, for I'm not worthy of Your love.
How could You die for me? Such grace could only come from God.

Oh Lord, You search and You know me, You see me inside out.
God, You alone can forgive me, erase my fear and my doubt.
Father You pick me up, I feel like a child in Your arms.
I don't deserve this love but I hear Your voice, Lord Jesus.

Chorus:
Go & sin no more
He said "I will not condemn you, I'll forgive and I'll forget it all"
Go & sin no more
"My child let me remind you, it is I who'll lead and guide you as you go"

You are my purpose...You are the reason that I live.
I want to be like You...Help me to love and to forgive.

God let me not be distracted, Lord help me focus on You.
Keep sin from ruling my life Lord, make me holy and pure.
Father You pick me up, I feel like a child in Your arms.
I don't deserve this love but I hear Your voice, Lord Jesus.

Chorus

Bridge
Wipe, wipe away
Take, take away
Break, break away
Fill my life, make it right,
Father help me, Father help me go.

Chorus

He said “I will not condemn you, no"
Go & sin no more
"My child let me remind you it is I who'll lead and guide you as you GO"

I've sinned come on my knees how could you die for me
You search my heart, know my thoughts
See me inside out and all throughout me
You alone can forgive me
You always pick me up, like a child in Your arms
I could stay with You forever here.

Dandelions - Five Iron Frenzy

In a field of yellow flowers,
underneath the sun,
bluest eyes that spark with lightning,
boy with shoes undone.
He is young, so full of hope,
reveling in tiny dreams,
filling up, his arms with flowers,
right for giving any queen.

Running to her beaming bright,
while cradling his prize.
A flickering of yellow light,
within his mother's eyes.
She holds them to her heart,
keeping them where they'll be safe,
clasped within her very marrow,
dandelions in a vase.

She sees love, where anyone else would see weeds.
all hope is found. Here is everything he needs.

Fathomless your endless mercy, weight I could not lift.
Where do I fit in this puzzle, what good are these gifts?
Not a martyr, or a saint,
scarcely can I struggle through.
All that I have ever wanted, was to give my best to you.

Lord, search my heart, create in me something clean.
Dandelions
you see flowers in these weeds.

Gently lifting hands to heaven,
softened by the sweetest hush,
a Father sings over his children,
loving them so very much.
More than words could warrant,
deeper than the darkest blue,
more than sacrifice could merit,
Lord, I give my heart to you.

(Habbakuk version*, words taken from Habbakuk 1:12, 2:20, 3:2, 3:17-
19)

O Lord, I have heard the telling of your fame:
Our God is an awesome God!.
I stand in awe and wonder at your deeds,
Our God is an awesome God!
Renew them in our day, in our time make them known
In your wrath remember to have mercy on your sons.
O Lord, are you not from everlasting God?
Our God is an awesome God!

Our God is an awesome God,
He reigns from heaven above,
With wisdom, power and love,
Our God is an awesome God

In his temple the Lord sits upon his holy throne
Our God is an awesome God!
Let all of the earth be silent before him!
Our God is an awesome God!
The Lord is sovereign and he is my strength,
He makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
He enables me to go on the heights of the land,
Our God is an awesome God!

Our God is an awesome God,
He reigns from heaven above,
With wisdom, power and love,
Our God is an awesome God

Though the fig-tree does not bud and no grapes are on the vine
Our God is an awesome God!
Though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food,
Our God is an awesome God!
Though the sheep have gone a-missing from the pen
And there are no cattle in the stalls,
I will rejoice in God my Saviour, for
Our God is an awesome God!

*Habbakuk has many great texts for this song, as it has as its
theme "the righteous will walk by faith" (Hab 2;4). No matter what
life brings and what we do or don't understand, "Our God is an
awesome God!"

Thanks To Calvary

Today, I went down to the place where I used to go
Today, I saw the same old crowd I knew before
And when they asked me what had happened, I tried to tell them
Thanks to Calvary, I don't come here anymore.

Thanks to Calvary I am not the man I used to be
Thanks to Calvary things are different than before
And as the tears ran down my face I tried to tell them
Thanks to Calvary, I don't live here anymore.

Then we went down to the house where we used to live
My little girl ran behind the door, like so many times before
And I said "Honey you don't need to be afraid,
you've got a new daddy now
And I said, "Hon never fear, you've got a new mommy here,
Thanks to Calvary we don't live here anymore.

Thanks to Calvary I am not the man I used to be
Thanks to Calvary things are different than before
And as the tears ran down my face I tried to tell them
Thanks to Calvary, we don't live here anymore.

Thanks to Calvary I am not the man I used to be
Thanks to Calvary things are different than before
And as the tears ran down my face I tried to tell them
Thanks to Calvary, I don't live here anymore.

O Lord my God! when I in awesome wonder
consider all the works Thy hand hath made,
I see the stars, I hear the mighty thunder,
the power throughout the universe displayed;
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God to Thee,
how great Thou art, how great Thou art!
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee,
how great Thou art, how great Thou art!

When through the woods and forest glades I wander
and hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees;
when I look down from lofty mountain grandeur,
and hear the brook, and feel the gentle breeze;
Then sings my soul ...

And when I think that God His Son not sparing,
sent Him to die - I scarce can take it in,
that on the cross my burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take away my sin:
Then sings my soul ...

When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation
and take me home - what joy shall fill my heart!
Then shall I bow in humble adoration
and there proclaim, my God, how great Thou art!
Then sings my soul ...

I keep falling in love with him
over and over, and over and over again
I keep falling in love with him
over and over, and over and over again
He gets sweeter and sweeter as the days go by
Oh what a love between my Lord and I
I keep falling with him
over and over, and over and over again.

When I first fell in love with Jesus
I gave him all my heart
I thought I couldn't love him more
Than I did right at the start
But when I look back over the mountains
And the valleys where we've been
It makes me know I love him so
much more than I did then.

I keep falling in love with him
over and over, and over and over again
I keep falling in love with him
over and over, and over and over again
He gets sweeter and sweeter as the days go by
Oh what a love between my Lord and I
I keep falling with him
over and over, and over and over again.

There's a hand that I hold on to
Through each valley and each trial
There's a shoulder that I lean upon
As I face yet another mile
There's a love that I can depend on
It's fresh and new each day
Now my heart is overflowing
That is why I say.

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus
There's Just Something About That Name

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus
There's just something about that name
Master, Savior, Jesus
Like the fragrance after the rain
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus
Let all Heaven and Earth proclaim
Kings and kingdoms
Will all pass away
But there's something about that Name.

Oh bless the Lord my soul
His praise to thee proclaimed
And all that is within me join
To bless His holy name
Oh yeah
Oh bless the Lord my soul
His mercies bear in mind
Forget not all His benefits
The Lord to thee is kind

He will not always chide
He will with patience wait
His wrath is ever slow
To rise
Oh bless the Lord
And ready to abate
And ready to abate
Oh yeah!
Oh bless the lord
Bless the lord my soul
Oh bless the lord my soul!

He pardons all thy sins
Prolongs thy feeble breath
He heals thine infirmities
And ransoms thee from death

He clothes thee with his love
Upholds thee with his truth
And like an eagle he renews
The vigor of thy youth

And bless His holy name
Whose grace hath made thee whole
Whose love and kindness crowns
Thy days
Oh bless the lord
Bless the lord my soul
Oh bless the lord my soul!

Bless the lord my soul
Oh bless the lord my soul!
Bless the lord my soul
Oh bless the lord my soul!
Bless the lord, bless the lord
My soul!
Bless the lord my soul!

One of my favs:
Kenny Loggins
Danny's Song

People smile and tell me I'm the lucky one, and we've just begun,
Think I'm gonna have a son.
He will be like she and me, as free as a dove, conceived in love,
Sun is gonna shine above.

Chorus:
And even though we ain't got money, I'm so in love with ya honey,
And everything will bring a chain of love.
And in the morning when I rise, you bring a tear of joy to my eyes,
And tell me everything is gonna be alright.

Seems as though a month ago I beta chi, never got high,
Oh, I was a sorry guy.
And now a smile, a face, a girl that shares my name,
Now I'm through with the game, this boy will never be the same.

(To chorus:)
Pisces, Virgo rising is a very good sign, strong and kind,
And the little boy is mine.
Now I see a family where there once was none, now we've just begun,
Yeah, we're gonna fly to the sun.

(To chorus:)

Love the girl who holds the world in a paper cup, drink it up,
Love her and she'll bring you luck.
And if you find she helps your mind, buddy, take her home,
Don't you live alone, try to earn what lovers own.

(To chorus:)
