Bill requires hiring 'gays,' cross-dressers
'Perceived sexual orientation or gender identity' protected

Following on the heels of an 'anti-discrimination' plan Christians insist would virtually outlaw their religious beliefs comes another proposal – introduced by openly homosexual U.S. Rep. Barney Frank – that requires businesses to give special privileges to "gay" and "transgendered" individuals.

Shari Rendall, director of legislation and public policy for Concerned Women for America, the nation's largest women's public policy group, said H.R. 2015, the "Employment Non-Discrimination Act of 2007," would be a disaster.

"This bill would unfairly extend special privileges based upon an individual's changeable sexual behaviors, rather than focusing on immutable, non-behavior characteristics such as skin color or gender. Its passage would both overtly discriminate against and muzzle people of faith. Former Secretary of State Collin Powell put it well when he said, 'Skin color is a benign, non-behavioral characteristic. Sexual orientation is perhaps the most profound of human behavioral characteristics. Comparison of the two is a convenient but invalid argument,'" Rendall said.

The proposal, from U.S. Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., follows H.R. 1592, the House-approved plan that would add sexual orientation and gender identity to a list of valid arguments for allegations of a "hate crime" and allow the federal government to intervene when those occur, or even in order to "prevent" one.

The White House has issued a statement saying the proposal is "unnecessary and constitutionally questionable" and the president's advisers would recommend a veto if it advances to his desk.

The new bill's goals are within the same agenda, critics say.

"According to proponents, this bill merely seeks to insulate people who choose to engage in homosexual behaviors ("sexual orientation") or who suffer from gender confusion ("gender identity") against employment discrimination," said the CWFA station. "But regrettably this legislation would effectively codify and encourage the very thing it purports to prevent – workplace discrimination."

It would apply to any business with 15 or more employees and would declare "it shall be an unlawful employment practice for an employer … to fail or refuse to hire or to discharge any individual, or otherwise discriminate against any individual with respect to the compensation, terms, conditions, or privileges of employment of the individual, because of such individual's actual or perceived sexual orientation or gender identity."

"This bill would force Christian, Jewish or Muslim business owners to hire people who openly choose to engage in homosexual or cross-dressing behaviors despite a sincerely held religious belief that those behaviors are dangerous, sinful and not in keeping with basic morality," added Matt Barber, policy director for cultural issues for CWFA.

"ENDA would essentially force employers to check their First Amendment protected rights to freedom of religion, speech and association at the workplace door. It's absurd! For instance, female employees would have to endure both systematic sexual harassment and a hostile work environment by being forced to share bathroom facilities with male employees who get their jollies from wearing a dress, high heels and lipstick," Barber said.

"Over the years, the homosexual lobby has done a masterful job of co-opting the language of the genuine civil rights movement in their push for special rights. This bill represents the goose that laid the golden egg for homosexual activist attorneys," he said.

Peter LaBarbera, of Americans for Truth, also suggested voters contact Congress and urge members to reject ENDA "and the insanity of forcing businesses across the nation to accommodate and subsidize gender confusion in the name of 'civil rights.'

"Several giant corporations have already settled on pro-'transgender' bathroom and dress policies – probably the same companies who would subject their employees to biased, pro-homosexual 'diversity' lectures – but can you imagine inflicting these 'transgender' regulations on small and mid-level companies through federal law via ENDA?" LaBarbera asked.

"What female employee wants to share the company restroom with a big-boned man claiming to be 'transitioning' to 'womanhood?' Will companies have to build 'transgender male' and 'transgender female' restrooms?"

He said there are some unsatisfactory exemptions for religious-oriented employers, but secular companies whose owners choose to run their operations on biblical guidelines would have no option.

The law would require companies to allow workers to use the restroom of the sex they "present."

"What about the privacy rights of [a transgender's] female co-workers? Don't they have the right not to feel personally invaded as they go to the restroom at their job?" he asked.

"Of course, the larger goal here – shared by the 'gay' and 'transgender' lobbies – is to change your mind and heart regarding gender-confused conduct. The law is merely a tool in their never-ending quest to overturn America's Judeo-Christian norms regarding family, sex and marriage," he said.

Former White House insider Chuck Colson, in his Breakpoint commentary, called the earlier plan, H.R. 1592, a "Thought Crimes" plan.

"It's called the Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act. But this bill is not about hate. It's not even about crime. It's about outlawing peaceful speech – speech that asserts that homosexual behavior is morally wrong," he said.

"Some say we need this law to prevent attacks on homosexuals. But we already have laws against assaults on people and property," Colson said. "Moreover, according to the FBI, crimes against homosexuals in the United States have dropped dramatically in recent years. In 2005, out of 863,000 cases of aggravated assault, just 177 cases were crimes of bias against homosexuals…"

He noted, as WND earlier reported, in other locations, such as England, Sweden, Canada, and even Philadelphia, where similar laws have been approved, the "Thought Police" already have prosecuted Christians.

One Philadelphia woman, Arlene Elshinnawy, 75, and grandmother of three, was holding a sign: "Truth is hate to those who hate the truth," before she was hauled off by police officers, according to reports.

Faith2Action has launched a series of ads, which can be viewed at StopHateCrimesNow.com about the concerns.

ENDA Must Not Pass!

I was deeply distressed to learn that the so-called Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) – legislation that gives homosexuals special privileges and powers in the workplace – has been put on the fast track by Barney Frank and other left-wing Democrats.

This bill – and the view of sexuality that underlies it – is contrary to the moral code to which Americans have always subscribed.  In attacking the institution of marriage and the family, the gay rights movement has declared war on society itself.  But moreover, the real and dark purpose behind this draconian bill is not to stop non-existent "discrimination" against homosexuals in the workplace -- since you can not stop something that does not exist in the first place -- but rather to silence small business owners and Americans who practice deeply held religious beliefs.

Consider the following scenario.  For years, Mom and Dad -- church-going Bible-believers -- have operated a candy store on the corner of Main and Reagan. After school and on Saturdays, the place is swarming with children and their parents. When they advertise for a clerk, the leader of the local "gay rights" movement applies for the job. He tells Mom and Dad: "You're Christian bigots and if you don't hire me, I'll haul you into court." Mom and Dad have three choices: They can hire him, knowing that when they do, the children will stop coming around, and count the days until they lose their business. They can fight him in court, spend thousands of dollars in legal fees with no hope of winning. and count the days until they go out of business They can decide NOT to count the days and simply take the shingle down and go out of business the next day.

Decent, normal Americans are demanding that conservatives use every parliamentary maneuver available to stop this bill from passing.  We won’t tolerate any pussyfooting, any attempt to appease the homosexual lobby by approving ANY pro-homosexuality legislation.  Conservative legislators are already skating on thin ice.  Don’t make the mistake of assuming you can let ENDA slip through Congress without the direst consequences.

When Britain legalized sodomy, conservative politician Lord Boothby asked, "Now that it's legal, how long before it's mandatory?"

Barney Frank is dancing on the steps of the Capitol, shouting his answer to Lord Boothby:

If Frank were honest; you'd probably hear him say:

This year it will be mandatory!  That's when we pass the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) and cram homosexuality down the throat of every bigoted Christian in America!  ENDA means you'll have to hire us --  even if what we do in the bedroom, in public toilets, and in Interstate rest stops makes you gag!

And please, do not be deceived by those that tell you ENDA is simply a non-discrimination measure.  That argument is a red-herring -- an argument designed to shame decent, sensitive and feeling folks into not opposing ENDA.

After all, who wants to be in favor of "discrimination?"

The truth of the matter is: there is NO national epidemic of discrimination against homosexuals in the workplace... PERIOD!  It simply does not exist!

The real un-told purpose behind the passage of ENDA -- like so-called hate-crimes legislation before it -- is much more sinister.

If passed, how would this vile law work?

Simply put, ENDA would force employers with deeply held religious beliefs to hire people they know are committing acts that they consider immoral -- and to hire them precisely BECAUSE they are committing these acts.

The Boy Scouts will be forced to hire homosexual Scoutmasters -- even those who flaunt their perverse and obscene appetites!

Day-care facilities, adoption agencies and Christian schools will likewise be investigated and targeted for federal prosecution if found to be "discriminating."

If you're still confused, check out this soul-sickening scenario:

For years, Mom and Dad -- church-going Bible-believers -- have operated a candy store on the corner of Main and Reagan.  After school and on Saturdays, the place is swarming with children and their parents.

When they advertise for a clerk, the leader of the local "gay rights" movement applies for the job.  He is an in-your-face pervert who struts and swaggers around town, boasting of his unnatural behavior with other men.

He tells Mom and Dad: "You're Christian bigots and if you don't hire me, I'll haul you into court, and you'll have to pay a huge fine, if not spend time behind bars."

Mom and Dad have three choices:

They can hire him, knowing that when they do, the children will stop coming around, and count the days until they lose their business.

They can fight him in court, spend thousands of dollars in legal fees with no hope of winning. and count the days until they go out of business

They can decide NOT to count the days and simply take the shingle down and go out of business the next day.

Make no mistake.  That is the real purpose behind ENDA.  ENDA has nothing to do with ending non-existent "discrimination" against homosexuals.  ENDA's ONLY purpose is to punish people who refuse to accept the radical homosexual agenda.

And the above scenario is just an example of exactly how ENDA will work -- in practice -- to punish Christians and destroy small business.

We can stop ENDA but we must act now because gloating liberals say they will bring ENDA to the floor in a matter of days.

But wait a minute!  Democrats and some Republicans (i.e., the RINOs who giggle and simper when Barney Frank comes around) all tell us ENDA poses no threat to churches or other religious organizations.

Do you trust these mincing closet leftists?  Let's look at the wording they point to in reassuring us about ENDA:

"In General- This Act shall not apply to any of the employment practices of a religious corporation, association, educational institution, or society which has as its primary purpose religious ritual or worship or the teaching or spreading of religious doctrine or belief."

In other words, the exemption is confined to churches that stick strictly to worship services and Sunday school.  But what about church schools and church day care?

What about Christian bookstores?  They wouldn't be exempt. After all, their primary purpose is to sell books not to conduct rituals or teach religious doctrine?

What about the Salvation Army, whose primary purpose is to pick people out of the gutter and rehabilitate them in the name of Jesus Christ?  If Congress passes ENDA, this marvelous Christian organization could be effectively put out of business by order of the federal government.

And how long will preachers and pulpits be immune to assaults by Barney Frank and the gay rights movement?  Not long ...  Look what happened in Sweden:

A 63-year-old Pentecostal minister -- pastor of a small church in the southern town of Borgholm -- said in a sermon that homosexuality was "a deep cancerous tumor in the entire society" and denounced the government's plan to promote domestic partnerships.

He was hauled into court, indicted, convicted, and sentenced to 30 days in jail.

This will happen in America, if we begin passing laws like ENDA that give homosexuals special rights.

Let's tell Congress: NO "gay rights" legislation!  Period! Paragraph!  End of discussion.

We can win this battle.  Congress went against your wishes several weeks ago and passed so-called hate-crimes legislation but your Blast Faxes and calls gave President Bush the political back-bone to threaten what will only be the third veto of his six-year presidency .

We can do the same with ENDA but we must act right now because gloating Democrats say they will bring ENDA to the floor in a matter of days.

Besides Barney Frank and Teddy Kennedy and Hillary and the RINOs, do you know who's backing this bill?

Big Labor and Corporate America -- both of them!

Here's how the Washington Blade, a homosexual newspaper, reported the announcement of their support:

"At the news conference Tuesday on ENDA, Rosalyn Pelles, an official with the AFL-CIO, and Steven Keyes, vice president for compensation, benefits and human resources for Nationwide Insurance Corporation, said ENDA enjoys widespread support from the nation's labor unions and Fortune 500 corporations."

"The lawmakers supporting the bill released a list of corporate supporters of the legislation that includes Microsoft Corp., Levi Strauss & Co., Coca-Cola Company, Charles Schwab & Co., Nike Inc. and Hewlett-Packard Co., among others.

"'Corporate America is way ahead of the public sector on this,' Frank said."

The article omits the Ford Motor Company, probably because the American Family Association has been orchestrating a boycott against Ford, and the company is in desperate financial trouble.

           So what's going on?

Why would Ford FLATLY REFUSE to stop funding the gay rights movement, even though over 700,000 people have signed a pledge not to buy a Ford product until the company backs down?

Why would one of the largest insurance companies in the world publicly promote a lifestyle that has single-handedly caused the AIDS epidemic -- a plague that has snuffed out the lives of thousands of Americans, cost the insurance industry billions of dollars, and hit American taxpayers for hundreds of billions?

Why would the AFL-CIO promote the employment of people who engage in behavior that makes them -- according to a huge government study -- more likely to be addicted to drugs and alcohol, more likely to suffer from mental illness, more likely to commit crimes, and more likely to have poor work records?

Is this the kind of labor force they want?

Here's what some of the better, brighter people are saying about ENDA:

Bob Knight of Media Research Center:

"[ENDA] puts the federal government in an adversary role against the basic sexual morality of the major faiths in America....   [The bill] is really a 'gay' power grab that would severely curb constitutionally guaranteed 'unalienable' rights that Americans hold dear, including the freedoms of speech, religion and association, [and will] lead to further demands by homosexual activists to force others to celebrate abnormal and unhealthy sexual behavior."

Roger Clegg, a Constitutional scholar, writing in National Review:

"[T]here will be relatively few such cases, and weighed against them must be the inevitable specious suits, the enforcement expenses, the dubious regulations - and the important costs of enacting yet another federal law of dubious constitutionality that violates free-market, freedom of association, and federalism principles. It's not worth it."

Columnist P.J. Byrnes:

"The homosexual strategists have conducted the most successful PR campaign in history.  Thirty years ago people were disgusted and appalled by homosexual acts.  Today they are pampered and spoiled by just about everyone."

"They've achieved this privileged status by appealing to Christian America's almost infinite capacity for pity.  These people aren't economically deprived.  They hold down some of the highest paid jobs in America.  They don't need ENDA any more than they need a hate-crimes bill.  They are on a roll, and they will grab everything they can before Americans wake up to the fact that they've been hoodwinked."

Isn't it time we put a stop to the gay rights movement's obscene trifling with       American democracy?

Gloating Democrats say they will bring ENDA to the floor in a matter of days.  We can stop them!

To summarize: Here are some of the things ENDA would bring about if passed:

    Under ENDA, the FBI would be forced to  investigate organizations like the Boy Scouts and haul them into into federal court, where they would be fined and told to recruit homosexual Scoutmasters or disband immediately;

    give the federal government new and unprecedented power in the workplace, particularly over small businesses. (The whole purpose of ENDA is to generate lawsuits against "homophobic" businesses and force them to accept homosexuality as a normal, natural, and healthy form of recreation);

    elevate sodomy to the level of marital relations, punish anyone who thinks otherwise, and protect men who dress up like women and people who undergo "sex change" operations;

    turn America into freak show, a sexual zoo teeming with nauseating behavior contrary to the tenets of Christianity, Judaism, and the other great religions of the world;

    prohibit employers from taking sexual conduct (and misconduct) into consideration when hiring or firing employees in charge of the young, -- e.g., teachers and child care workers;

    give homosexuals special rights and protections -- protections that are not based on race, color, creed or sex, but rather bestowed on individuals based on their behavior;

Gloating Democrats say they will bring ENDA to the floor in a matter of days.

Let's help GOP Members of Congress find their long-lost backbones and stop this contemptible legislation dead in its tracks.

ENDA Must Not Pass!

They are trying to remove all semblance of decency from our country.  ENDA should be named 'The Sodom and Gomorrah Act of 2007.'   Angry

Gen 19:28
And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace.

Homosexual Employment Bill - ENDA

Prominent evangelical leaders assailed a bill that would give special rights to homosexuals in the workplace, calling it bad policy and denouncing attempts to tie it with the black civil rights movement.

“In recent years there has been a strange reversal of things,” Bishop Harry R. Jackson, Jr., founder and chairman of the High Impact Leadership Coalition, said Friday.

“[A]ggressive activists who are involved in gay rights have made an odd role reversal,” he continued. “In the name of liberty this group has begun to infringe upon the liberty and rights of others.”

Jackson was speaking in reference to the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), HR 3685, which seeks to make it illegal for employers to make decisions on hiring, firing, promoting or paying an employee based on sexual orientation.

The bill, if passed, would add “sexual orientation” to a list of federally protected classes under a 1964 act that prohibits job discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex or national origin.

Jackson, who represents thousands of black ministers, said the black civil rights movement is being “hijacked” by gay activists who claim the gay employment issue is similar to the black civil rights issue.

“I find it is an insult for myself as an African American that you are granting through this law special protection for sexual orientation that might only be imagined,” said the senior pastor of the 3,000-member Hope Christian Church in the Washington, D.C.-area.

ENDA seeks to add to the protected class “actual or perceived” sexual orientation, Jackson pointed out, while the other protected classes are “immutable” and “unchangeable” characteristics.

“Someone once said I was born black and I will probably stay black for awhile,” said the black Christian leader, drawing laughter from the media.

In addition, ENDA infringes on religious liberty and puts the integrity of faith-based ministries in jeopardy.

Hope Christian Church, for example, runs a daycare and aftercare program that reaches some 300 children.

If ENDA passes, children in the ministry could be sent “unclear signals” with Jackson preaching against homosexuality while the children are sent a “radically different” message by a church daycare employee.

The evangelical leader is also against the legislation because it expands civil rights protection on the vague basis of perception. In other words, an employee can sue their employer based simply on “perceived” sexual orientation.

Adding to Jackson’s comments, Colin A. Hanna, founder and president of the conservative grassroots organization Let Freedom Ring, pointed out that the current ENDA legislation includes some provision to exempt churches but no language for the exemption of parachurch organizations or pro-family movements.

An organization “whose entire focus” and “reason for being” is to promote a particular social view based on scripture would be forced to hire a person with a “diametrically opposing” view on the issue, Hanna contended.

“That is about as upside-down and about as perverted a reading as what the first amendment is about as I can imagine,” he said.

Hanna contends he is not opposed to non-discrimination laws but rather opposed to “perverting” the language of discrimination to enable the further “political aims” of the homosexual agenda.

“That is where our objection is based,” he said.

Others raised questions on how human resource managers would apply the bill in the real world. They emphasized that someone can easily be identified as black, female or of a particular religion, but there is no way to identify someone’s sexual orientation besides a confession by the individual.

As a result, it would be difficult to distinguish if a person was fired because of their poor performance or for their sexual identity.

“It (ENDA) is not needed, all that is needed is men and women to decide who they are and go to work everyday and do their job,” stated the Rev. Rick Scarborough who heads Vision America – a grassroots movement to restore Christian values in society.

The Baptist preacher said his organization is opposed to the bill morally, on biblical grounds, and because it is “insanity” and will “wreck the economy of this country.”

Others who spoke in opposition to the legislation included former homosexual Randy Thomas, vice president of Exodus International – the world’s largest Christian ministry promoting freedom from homosexuality.

“The liberal democrats, who support the advancement of the homosexual agenda, cannot agree on this,” concluded Tony Perkins, president of the influential Washington-based Family Research Council. “Even they think this is a bridge too far, policy too radical and there is disagreement in the rank.”

Perkins added, “I believe the vast majority of Americans would come to the realization that this will take us to a place that we do not want to go.”

The U.S. House of Representatives is set to vote on ENDA on Wednesday.

Time to End ENDA
By Harry R. Jackson, Jr.

Have you ever had a chronic injury that you just could not shake? As a sophomore in high school, I was fortunate enough to make the first string on my high school football team. After a few great games, I received a painful helmet blow to the thigh that caused me to hobble for months. I never thought the injury would go away permanently. I was fine one week and then hurting again the next. It obviously caused the quality of my play to also rise and fall with the pain. Thankfully, I eventually made it through that season and went on to have several outstanding years of competition. I am reminded of that chronic injury as I look at the national attempts to redefine the nature of the American civil rights movement.

Let me explain. I am convinced that the black community is still in need of reviving and upgrading the civil rights movement. Like Bill Cosby, I believe that family restoration is at the heart of the problems that the black community faces. Yet there seems to be a growing attempt by the gay community to hijack the civil rights movement. There has been an attempt to mask personal, lifestyle preference as a civil rights issue. In addition, the radical gay movement seems to be seeking to silence the Church. In my world, it seems that this on–going attempt to hijack the civil rights movement and attack the Church is like my youthful football injury. This assault on our culture seems like it will never go away.

Last Friday, I hosted a press conference in Washington, D.C. on behalf of the High Impact Leadership Coalition, aimed at opposing HR 3685- The Employment Non-Discrimination Act also known as ENDA. The press conference was attended by The Family Research Council, Exodus International, the Let Freedom Ring Foundation, and Vision America.

We represented a multicultural, multi-racial group of Christians who believe that our legislators have started down a dangerous direction with this law and the Hate Crimes legislation which was recently passed by the Senate (S1105). We began the press conference by expressing our thankfulness that the president pledged to veto this legislation. The remainder of this article will outline some of the most salient points from our press conference.

Whenever anyone uses the term “discrimination,” it brings a bad taste to our mouths. Yet in recent years, a strange reversal has taken place - aggressive gay activists have become involved in persecuting the Church. In the name of liberty, they are infringing on the liberties of others. Unfortunately in this sound bite generation, there is often not enough time for us to fully explain our positions.

Several African-American spokespersons addressed the media at the press conference in order to refute the idea that all black community activists are in favor of ENDA. It is obvious that the black community is no longer a monolith. One size does not fit all. Some of the most well-known black civil rights organizations have sold out the black community by supporting such legislation. We declared that although gay activists are seeking to hide behind the race issue, this legislation affects every American – black or white.

Let me give you a list of five of the most important reasons we are against this legislation.

1. ENDA would overturn the historical basis of protected class status by adding “actual or perceived sexual orientation.” While every other federally-protected class embodies three standards: an obvious, immutable characteristic; a history of discrimination evidenced by economic disenfranchisement; and political powerlessness, “sexual orientation” falls under none of these criteria. It is an insult to African Americans to grant special protections for “sexual orientation.”

2. ENDA expands civil rights protections on the vague basis of perception. An employee or potential employee could sue an employer for his or her perception of their sexual orientation. Yet unlike the currently-protected classes of race, age, and gender in employment, sexual orientation is not scientifically verifiable. It is an offense to African Americans to equate “sexual orientation” with skin color.

3. ENDA infringes on the religious liberties of our parishioners. As shepherds of our flock, we cannot stand by while our parishioners are forced to ignore their convictions when they leave church on Sunday. ENDA requires people of faith to lay down their religious freedom at the office door. This opposes our beliefs and it is not practical – faith cannot be segmented into only one part our lives.

4. ENDA puts the integrity of our ministries in jeopardy. Many African-American churches run outreach ministries separate from the church to care for our communities. My local church runs a daycare which cares for over 200 children daily and the potential to serve another 100+ children in extended care for those who are in school. ENDA provides unclear protection for schools, while leaving ministries such as childcare, after school programs, and food and clothing banks vulnerable to ENDA mandates.

5. ENDA is a direct attack on our freedom of religion guaranteed in the First Amendment. The Free Exercise Clause in the First Amendment grants all Americans the freedom to practice their faith. ENDA stands in direct opposition to this liberty and must be rejected as a result.

ENDA will be voted on this coming week. Therefore, I want to encourage everyone reading this article to send it to at least five additional people. Second, I recommend that every reader contacts their congressional representatives. Third, we need to contact the President’s office in order to encourage him veto both the Hate Crimes (S 1105) and ENDA (HR 3685) legislations, if passed.

TVC: ENDA would force Christians to 'kowtow' to homosexual, transgendered employees

The head of a conservative lobbying group warns that a homosexual employment bill pending in the U.S. House will "silence of people of faith" and be a "litigation nightmare."

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-California) may hold a vote this week on the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), which seeks to make it illegal for employers to make decisions on hiring, firing, promoting, or paying an employee based on "actual or perceived sexual orientation." Last week, a vote on the measure was delayed due to squabbling among some Democrats and homosexual activists over whether to include in the bill special protections based on "gender identity and expression."

Andrea Lafferty, executive director of the Traditional Values Coalition, says Democrats are likely to bring ENDA up for a vote without allowing an amendment that deals with "gender identity."

"Barney Frank is a homosexual congressman who is infighting with homosexual grassroots groups about what the language should say. Should they include the term 'gender identity' or not. And gender identity is someone that has a sex change or a drag queen, all those kinds of things. But what they're not telling people is that it actually is included in the bill under the term 'perceived,'" she says.

According to Lafferty, the term "perceived" will do two things in the bill.

"It actually will give will give homosexuals and trans-genders greater protection than that's provided for African-Americans and Hispanics under the civil rights act," she explains. "The second thing that 'perceived' does is it actually does cover trans-genders and other folks. Traditional Values Coalition has been talking about the 30 orientations that the American Psychiatric Organization says exists, and that is what's going to be opening up with this term 'perceived.'"

Lafferty argues that even without the "gender identity" provision, "anyone with a non-conventional sexual orientation can claim protection under this legislation." She also says ENDA "will ultimately force people of faith to go to sensitivity training" and threatens Christian employees "who may wear a cross or talk about Christ at work."

Hi Pastor,
The Lord gave me a way to reach the mind set of homo's a couple of years ago,

And it goes like this:
I'll ask, do you know what Fornication is?
Yes, is usually the answer.
Most people know it's when people have sex without being married to one another.
Then I'll say, Did you know?
God say's that NO Fornicater will enter the Kingdom of God No matter who you are or what you do, if ANYONE has sex out of wedlock, they are a Fornicater...
Then I'll tell them: This Goverment might say it's OK to do such things and ALLOW you to marry,
BUT MY GOD WILL NEVER ALLOW SUCH THINGS to be BETWEEN A MAN & A MAN OR A WOMAN WITH A WOMAN!
And to Please repent your sins against God and change...
If anything, I"VE removed their Cloak from which they might try to hide behind on that day!
They can't say "I did'nt know"! Not on my watch, anyway!

I think its because by saying EVERYONE is going down because of it, not just them.
They don't take it so personal and just shut you off...(even though it is personal)
Sure they'll still go to hell(lost without Jesus), However I will know that I tried to come up with a way to reach these people without pointing my finger in just their face(figure of speach, not literally)to we're some just might listen & Change...
P.S
If they don't listen the 1st time, I won't beat a DEAD horse to Death, Nor will i continue to cast my Pearls before Swine!
Your Loving Brother Duane

Nancy Pelosi, why does that name give me nightmares.........

I'm sorry, (NOT!!) I will not hire a homosexual to work in the Lord's Church. I pay my taxes, so the government can't tell me what I can, and can't say in Church. If necessary I will sell the building, and hold services back in my home. It won't be the first time, services are held here. Then lets see them tell me, I have to hire gays for my home. That would make it a invasion of my privacy, as a private citizen of the U.S.A..

Hi Brother Dreamweaver,
I hope you don't think, that i thought they should be allowed to do this?
Or that i would go out seeking gay people to convert them?
I would'nt  allow a practicing Homosexual
to be around me for longer than what it would take to tell them what i wrote(below).

It say's alot about our countries willingness to choose to do Evil and VOTE for those that promote it!
I've been telling people for yrs. about that Godless PUKE B. Frank...
Almost every Dem. in office is for this type of Behaviour, Theirs a couple of Rep. that are no better...
I have mad so many people MAD by telling them if you Vote Demoncrat your Voting for the progression of Satans Agendas!
Godlessness like the Days of Noah:
Too many things to list that there're for, that would be Against God..
Ypur loving Brother Duane

Dems' in-house dissension delays ENDA vote

Infighting among homosexual and transgender activists in the Democratic Party has prompted House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to yet again delay a vote on a homosexual employment bill.

Democrats are still wrangling over whether to attach an amendment to the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) that would declare the transgender community a protected class by adding the term "gender identity" to the legislation. The bill in its current form would make it illegal for employers to make decisions on hiring, firing, promoting, or paying an employee based on "actual or perceived sexual orientation."

Matt Barber, policy director for cultural issues at Concerned Women for America, is convinced that approval ratings for Pelosi and Congress will continue to plummet as long as they continue to push bills like ENDA, which he describes as an "unnecessary and dangerous" bill.

"They're spending all this time on ... social activism and social experimentation, radical left-wing activism in Congress, as opposed to taking care of serious issues that we need to be addressing here," states Barber. "And in fact, this bill is not only a waste of time and unnecessary, it's actually very dangerous to First Amendment liberties here in the United States."

According to Barber, some red-state Democrats are "frightened of the ramifications" and leery of supporting legislation granting special protections to cross-dressers. "If they vote in favor of this bill, they're worried that their constituents are going to rightly take them to task for supporting a bill that would [allow] men in dresses ... to walk into women's restrooms and to share facilities with women in intimate quarters," the family advocate explains.

A vote on ENDA is possible next week.
