I know w/ all the Super bowl hype going on right now and all that. But here in Seattle we've been facing just too much rain that caused more than just street flooding and is not causing a lot of massive mudslides which have already destroyed and are threatning a lot of neighborhoods. Now we got a nasty storm comming our way, we already survived one about 2 nights ago but this one they say is gonna be big. The weather guys have been saying that they expect winds to pack 60 mph which is quit big for Seattle. So I just wanted to put that up here just to keep all of us here in prayer, most of us living heavily wooded areas and we can see a lot of damage out of this storm thats comming our way.

I am & will be praying. Roll Eyes (looking to our Protector)

Shocked If you live in a low-lying or heavily-treed area, you may want to stay at a friends or in a hotel or something though.

they been saying that in most area's of Washington (especially the coast and Puget Sound) they expect 60mph wind gusts. In my part of the neighborhood I only have to worry about 2 tree's that are planted in my neighbors back yard, I swear one of these crazy days they'll topple over or something. I expect the winds to be mucsh stronger where I live because the house is not too far from the view of the Puget Sound. I personally dont know how bad this is all going to be, but every news station has been saying that its gonna be bad enough for people to lose power and such. So they announce its gonna be a pretty bad one.

On the other hand I wonder if they gonna call this one The Super Bowl storm. Cuz over here all our storms are named after holidays cuz thats when they usually take place. The Innaguration Day Storm back in 93 was BAD! I remember that one, that thing was leveled to a category 3 hurricane and killed about like 5 people or something.

LilJesusFreak, I am praying for you and everyone in the area. You are all in my prayers.
I am in Florida and things have been pretty crazy here too, today we are having a severe thunderstorm, it is staring to slow down, but the winds have picked up and the temperatures dropped about 20 degrees from yesterday. It is starting to look like hurricane season again.

Well I expected to wake up to power outage this morning but thankfully that has not happened and hopefully will not happen tonight. The winds have subsided just a bit but are still pretty strong. My neighborhood is quit a mess right now though because of huge tree branches all over the place. The only things that were knocked down around my house, was the gutter pipe that connects to the ground off the side of my house, a whole lot of really long and think tree branches (thanfully the forces werent all that bad enough to have those things come flying through any of my windows.) the trash can was knocked over and the canopee that covers the bbq grill was blown off. Other than that Im safe and sound and still have power here. But over all in the whole Western Washington area the coast is getting flooded by surf waves and they are not telling the folks down there to be prepared to any possible evacuations. The 520 water bridge got shut down because of the waves, 140,000 people lost power up and down all the counties surrounding the Puget Sound, The Casscades had a blizzard and another 18 (inches or feet cant remember which one) of snow. And so far one person was killed due to this storm. This woman got slammed by a huge tree. Other than all of that yes there's more mudslides and fallen tree's problems.
