Hey all, I thought I'd drop by and say hello. I've missed y'all, and the fellowship of C.U. Hopefully I'll be back on more often, as I've been dealing with illness, and my wife has been ill as well.

Remember to keep the faith close to you, as this world turns........ Our Saviour looks upon our heart in Christ.

Trust and obey, for with out our love for the Lord, we would be lost.

In the mean time, KEEP LOOKING UP, for one day, we'll meet in the clouds when Jesus calls us home. That is a day I look forwards to, as well as y'all are looking to meet in our NEW GLORIFIED BODIES. On that day, we will never feel pain, nor shead a tear in sorrow.

Please know that you and your wife are in our prayers. YES, I anxiously await the Glorious Appearance of our Lord and Saviour to catch us up and HOME to Heaven. I honestly believe that this could be at any time - even tonight. Regardless, I will enjoy being used by Him until then.

Thought you might be interested in this information from the White House. This isn't a rumor; this is a fact.

We have a friend at church who is a very talented artist.  For several years she, among many others, has painted ornaments to be hung on the various White House Christmas trees.  The WH sends out an invitation to send an ornament and informs the artists of the theme for the year.

She got her letter from the WH recently.  It said that they would not be called Christmas trees this year.  They will be called Holiday trees.. And, to please not send any ornaments painted with a religious theme.

She was very upset at this development and sent back a reply telling them that she painted the ornaments for Christmas trees and would not be sending any for display that left Christ out of Christmas.

Just thought you should know what the new residents in the WH plan for the future of America.  If you missed his statement that "we do not consider ourselves a Christian Nation" this should confirm that he plans to take us away from our religious foundation as quickly aspossible. BJR

This is all very sad, something most of us would have never dreamed of just a few years ago. It's almost as if we are stuck in a horror movie that we know is going to get worse. I honestly believe this administration has a hatred for this country and everything it used to stand for. As you know, I don't say this lightly. Destruction is the agenda of this administration, and they want that destruction quickly.

I'm sitting here drinking my last cup of coffee for the night. I'm also, thinking of what a wonderful country this was till Obama took over. Since he has been in, (it looks to me) as if God has left His grace, from America. Obama's statements against Israel, America, have left me saddened. This country for the most part has worshiped the Lord. Now with Obama, he seems to worship himself, and everything but God.

Yes, I know a few (guests or members) will disagree with me............ And so be it, this is my opinion only. I think it is just a shame, of what president Obama has done to this once great country.  Not only has he hurt Americans, of those of other countries, friendly to America., But he seems to have made friends with those nations that are islamic.

Think seriously about these two powerful words and know that all roads lead to these Two Words. Some horrible things will happen until God takes what is His, but no combination of powers will be able to deny "GOD'S GLORY". Great thinkers can ponder all they wish, but it does all boil down to "GOD'S GLORY." Before the beginning was "GOD'S GLORY", and there is no ending to "GOD'S GLORY".

AMEN!!

God is the beauty of His spirit. It is not an aesthetic beauty or a material beauty, but it is the beauty that emanates from His character, from all that He is. James 1:10 calls on a rich man to “glory in his humiliation,” indicating a glory that does not mean riches or power or great aesthetic or material beauty. This glory can crown man or fill the earth. It is seen within man and in the earth, but it is not of them; it is of God.

The mistake many people continue to make is, trusting in earthly things, earthly relationships, their own powers or talents or beauty, or the goodness they see in others. But when these things fade and fail as they will inevitably do as they are only temporary carriers of the greater glory, these people despair. What we all need to realize is that God’s Glory is constant, and as we journey through life we will see it manifesting here and there, in this person or that forest or in a story of love or heroism, fiction or non-fiction, or our own personal lives. But it all goes back to God in the end. And the only way to God is through His Son, Jesus Christ. We will find the very source of all beauty in Him, in heaven, if we are in Christ. Nothing will be lost to us. All those things that faded in life we will find again in Him.

God's Glory, "IT IS ETERNAL".

I do have my coffee, and it's hot Brother Bob and all. I'm trying to get myself in gear for some posts I want to make, but I want to do some additional reading and study first. I also want to enjoy the posts of others first.

We are enjoying beautiful and mild fall weather here. It's even without the usual storms we still have usually at this time of year. Now that I've said this, we'll probably have a week of storms. Until then, we're enjoying gorgeous weather in the 70's and 80's. We like to take drives through our wildlife refuge near us at this time of year and just enjoy the beauty of God's Creation. Yes, Brother Bob, my wife also drives, and I'm an irritating side-seat driver too often. She reminds me that I could be walking and I get quiet pretty quick.

Hello Brother David,

I think that I know who you're talking about. If so, it's much more than just arrogance. Brother David, I'd also like to make the point that there are many decent, God-fearing Christians in America who have never asked for or wanted anything other than Right and to yield to God. We all have to take our part of the responsibility for not doing more to stop the wrong, so Christians don't get a PASS. The same is true all over the world. Another consideration is the possibility that the time is near for the Tribulation Period to be ushered in, and no combination of powers will be able to stop that. Regardless, all Christians could have and should have done more. You don't hear real Christians bragging about what's going on in America. Many things have been a matter of concern, shame, and prayer for a long time.

Above all else - OUR CITIZENSHIP IS IN HEAVEN!

Thanks for clarifying this. We're thinking of two different things completely. I was thinking solely of good and evil. The area you're thinking about is subject to politics and debate and involves many factors for each location, treaties being just one of them. Some of them do involve major good and evil factors.

The one thing I'm sad about is, there are alot of Christian services that American Christians provide. Now with the Obama administration those services have had to be cut back.

Course I'm not thinking politics, but of services America provides those 3^rd world nations.
