If you are meaning Clint Walker as Cheyenne Bodie, yes i do remember him well. Like Ronald Reagan he was another great actor from Illinois. He did a lot of great movies. Besides the old series he did bit parts as Cheyenne Bodie in various movies and TV series in the 90's. He also did a number of episodes on 77 Sunset Strip as Cal Jasper.

I'm sorry to hear about the problems hitting your family these last few weeks. I will be praying for you all.

I'm sure everybody remembers "Have Gun Will Travel", Love that theme song too!  And I remember Cheyenne Bodie, but does anyone remember "Johnny Yuma"?  Grin Shocked Grin

A catchy tune that used to drive my mother crazy. The song would stick in my head and I would sing it all day.  Grin Grin She would tell me though that the song was fitting for me.  Shocked Shocked

All I can remember of it is:  Johnny Yuma was a rebel....
I always felt so sorry for him because he was such a loner.  At least that's what I remember from a child's memory.

Yep, he was a rebel, a loner, that was always on the side of what was right.

Here's the lyrics:

The Rebel Lyrics

Away, away, away rode the rebel, Johnny Yuma.

Johnny Yuma, was a rebel,
He roamed, through the west.
And Johnny Yuma, was a rebel,
He wandered alone.

He got fightin' mad,
This rebel lad,
He packed his star as he wandered far
Where the only law was a hook and a draw, the rebel.

(Away, away, away rode the rebel.)

Johnny Yuma, was a rebel,
He roamed, through the west.
And Johnny Yuma, was a rebel,
He wandered alone.

He searched the land,
This restless lad,
He was panther quick and leather tough
Cause he had figured that he'd been pushed enough, the rebel.

(Away, away, away rode the rebel.)
Johnny Yuma.

Johnny Yuma, was a rebel,
He roamed, through the west.
And Johnny Yuma, the rebel,
He wandered alone.

He was fightin' mad,
This rebel lad,
With a dream he would hold until his dying breath
He would search his soul and gamble with death.

Away, away, away rode the rebel, Johnny Yuma.

It's a beautiful Saturday here and now I'm going to have to get some other songs out to get that one out of my head.  Grin Grin

How about "Rawhide", sister. Grin Grin Grin

And here are your lyrics....................

Rollin, rollin, rollin.  Keep movin, movin, movin,
Though they’re disapprovin, keep them doggies movin Rawhide!

Don’t try to understand ‘em, just rope and throw and grab ‘em, soon we’ll be living high and wide.
Boy my heart’s calculatin.  My true love will be waitin, be waitin at the end of my ride.

Move ‘em on, head ‘em up, head ‘em up, move ‘em out,
Move ‘em on, head ‘em out Rawhide!
Set ‘em out, ride ‘em in ride ‘em in, let ‘em out, cut ‘em out, ride ‘em in Rawhide.

And now, here is how the song went..............

Rollin, rollin, rollin,  Rollin, rollin, rollin.
Rollin, rollin, rollin,  Rollin, rollin, rollin Rawhide!

Rollin, rollin, rollin,
Though the streams are swollen.  Keep them doggies rollin’ Rawhide!

Rain and wind and weather.  Hell-bent for leather. Wishin my gal was by my side.
All the things I’m missin.  Good vittles, love, and kissin are waiting at the end of my ride

Chorus
Move ‘em on, head ‘em up.  Head ‘em up, move ‘em on.  Move ‘em on, head ‘em up Rawhide
Count ‘em out, ride ‘em in.  Ride ‘em in, count ‘em out.  Count ‘em out, ride ‘em in Rawhide!

Keep movin, movin, movin.  Though they’re disapprovin keep them doggies movin Rawhide!
Don’t try to understand ‘em, just rope, throw, and brand ‘em.  Soon we’ll be living high and wide.
My hearts calculatin.  My true love will be waitin,  Be waitin at the end of my ride.
Rawhide!  Rawhide!

I liked a bunch of the old Westerns and still do. TVLand shows nothing but the old shows, and you can check the schedule every now and then to catch some real gems.

Some of my old favorites were Gunsmoke, Gene Autrey, Roy Rogers, The Lone Ranger, Hopalong Cassidy, and others I don't remember right now. The stars in some of them sang and had really good music (i.e. Gene Autrey, Roy Rogers). They called them singing cowboys. They were all clean shows that the whole family could watch.

They sure don't make em' like they used to.  Cryin' shame.

GOOD MORNING SLEEPY HEADS!

Where have you been? It's over 9 hours into the next day, and you guys are still dragging in. I would say that I'm going to get another cup of coffee, but I'm off for an old guy nap instead. YES - I had my morning coffee slightly after midnight. I got some things done on my to-do list, so I don't feel bad in saying that I'm taking an old-guy nap.

EVERYONE HAVE A GREAT DAY! Remember:  wherever you go - there you are. AND - GRIN - it will make folks wonder what you've been up to.

Brothers and Sisters,

It appears that quite a few folks are ill or otherwise down, including a couple of the moderators. LORD Willing, things will get back to normal soon. We can all say a few extra prayers for each other, and I'm sure that everyone would appreciate that. I've had a pinched nerve in my back, but I think that I'm feeling some better. I'm trying to learn smarter ways of doing things and moving carefully. If I use some common sense, maybe I can avoid most of the problems. I think that Pastor Roger is down with something close, and I understand that many people have the flu.

For folks who are relatively well, I'm sure they are at least SICK OF POLITICS and all of THE BAD NEWS! Now more than ever, I think that we should all be praying for each other. The road ahead is probably going to be rough. In the meantime, have a cup of coffee, read your Bible, and KEEP LOOKING UP!

Love In Christ,
Tom

Good Morning Brother David!

I wish that I could. I don't have it set up on my new computer yet. That's on my list of things to do. Please feel free to email me. I'll try to get some kind of Instant Message set up maybe today. I've been down in bed, but I am better.

Brother, let me look and see if I have something that I can set up. Maybe I even have the settings for what I had before. Give me a few minutes to find out.

Love In Christ,
Tom
