2:  Romans 3:23  NASB  for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

3:  Romans 5:12  NASB  Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned--

4:  Romans 6:23  NASB  For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

5:  Romans 1:18  NASB  For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,

6:  Romans 3:20  NASB  because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes the knowledge of sin.

7:  Romans 3:27  NASB  Where then is boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? Of works? No, but by a law of faith.

8:  Romans 5:8-9  NASB  But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him.

9:  Romans 2:4  NASB  Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and tolerance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?

10:  Romans 3:22  NASB  even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction;

11:  Romans 3:28  NASB  For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law.

12:  Romans 10:9  NASB  that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;

14:  Romans 4:24 NASB  but for our sake also, to whom it will be credited, as those who believe in Him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead,

15:  Romans 5:1  NASB  Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

16:  Romans 10:10  NASB  for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.

17:  Romans 10:13  NASB  for "WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED."

"The poison of a deadly snake drips from their lips."  14  "Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness."  15  "They are quick to commit murder.  16  Wherever they go, destruction and misery follow them.  17  They do not know what true peace is."  18  "They have no fear of God to restrain them."  19  Obviously, the law applies to those to whom it was given, for its purpose is to keep people from having excuses and to bring the entire world into judgment before God.  20  For no one can ever be made right in God's sight by doing what his law commands. For the more we know God's law, the clearer it becomes that we aren't obeying it.  21  But now God has shown us a different way of being right in his sight-not by obeying the law but by the way promised in the Scriptures long ago.  22  We are made right in God's sight when we trust in Jesus Christ to take away our sins. And we all can be saved in this same way, no matter who we are or what we have done.  23  For all have sinned; all fall short of God's glorious standard.  24  Yet now God in his gracious kindness declares us not guilty. He has done this through Christ Jesus, who has freed us by taking away our sins.  25  For God sent Jesus to take the punishment for our sins and to satisfy God's anger against us. We are made right with God when we believe that Jesus shed his blood, sacrificing his life for us. God was being entirely fair and just when he did not punish those who sinned in former times.  26  And he is entirely fair and just in this present time when he declares sinners to be right in his sight because they believe in Jesus.  27  Can we boast, then, that we have done anything to be accepted by God? No, because our acquittal is not based on our good deeds. It is based on our faith.  28  So we are made right with God through faith and not by obeying the law.  29  After all, God is not the God of the Jews only, is he? Isn't he also the God of the Gentiles? Of course he is.  30  There is only one God, and there is only one way of being accepted by him. He makes people right with himself only by faith, whether they are Jews or Gentiles.  31  Well then, if we emphasize faith, does this mean that we can forget about the law? Of course not! In fact, only when we have faith do we truly fulfill the law.

Ephesians 2:1-10 NLT  Once you were dead, doomed forever because of your many sins.  2  You used to live just like the rest of the world, full of sin, obeying Satan, the mighty prince of the power of the air. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God.  3  All of us used to live that way, following the passions and desires of our evil nature. We were born with an evil nature, and we were under God's anger just like everyone else.  4  But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so very much,  5  that even while we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God's special favor that you have been saved!)  6  For he raised us from the dead along with Christ, and we are seated with him in the heavenly realms-all because we are one with Christ Jesus.  7  And so God can always point to us as examples of the incredible wealth of his favor and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us through Christ Jesus.  8  God saved you by his special favor when you believed. And you can't take credit for this; it is a gift from God.  9  Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.  10  For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.


Ephesians 3:12-21 NLT  Because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now come fearlessly into God's presence, assured of his glad welcome.  13  So please don't despair because of what they are doing to me here. It is for you that I am suffering, so you should feel honored and encouraged.  14  When I think of the wisdom and scope of God's plan, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father,  15  the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth.  16  I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will give you mighty inner strength through his Holy Spirit.  17  And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God's marvelous love.  18  And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love really is.  19  May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it. Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God.  20  Now glory be to God! By his mighty power at work within us, he is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope.  21  May he be given glory in the church and in Christ Jesus forever and ever through endless ages. Brothers and Sisters,

I'm sitting here drinking some coffee again, reading a variety of beautiful Christian materials, and listening to the news in the background. LORD willing, we'll be flying to St. Louis for a family gathering this afternoon. This is a good time to pray for each other that GOD will watch over us as we gather with our friends, families, and local assemblies. I'll also pray that we make JESUS CHRIST the focus of our thoughts, worship, and praise.

I must mention something that I just heard on the news. I couldn't believe it:  Las Vegas is asking for a taxpayer bailout for their casinos. This is on top of recent news that the abortion industry is asking for the same thing. These are wild and crazy times that we live in. Are we approaching the End Days of this Age of Grace? YES, I think so. There is no required Prophecy to fulfill before CHRIST comes to RAPTURE HIS CHURCH. As Christians, we might not be here much longer, and I pray that's true.

In the meantime - KEEP LOOKING UP!

I was just listening to the same thing on the news about the bailout requests. What is really incredulous about it is that our government would actually consider those requests as being valid. There are other companies that are not even struggling financially that are also now requesting their share of the bailout. They may as well just remove all taxes from businesses and increase the taxes on the poor. Wait a minute ... that is what they are already doing.

Yes, this is crazy times. Everything is getting reversed from what it should be. Right is being called wrong, evil is being called good.

I just wanted to share with you a few verses from a devotion we had last night at church.  I felt like the devotion was speaking directly to me.  During the holidays I tend to stress about how many presents we are able to buy....making sure everyone gets what they want...and feeling guilty about those I really don't have the money to buy for.  I get caught up in all the worldly aspects of the Christmas holiday.  While most of it is fun...it doesn't really leave my heart in the right place regarding what is important.  Our pastor pointed us toward 1 Timothy 6:6-12.  Contentment!!  I just wanted to share that I am truely content....and thankful for all the blessings in my life.  This passage has really helped me focus on what it important this Christmas.  Love you guys!
 
Paul is speaking to Timothy  - 1 Timothy 6:6-12
 
Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth.  After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can't take anything with us when we leave it.  So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content.  But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction.  For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.  But you, Timothy, are a man of God; so run from all these evil things.  Pursue righteousness and a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.  Fight the good fight for the true faith.  Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God had called you, which you have confessed so well before many witnesses.

There is no required Prophecy to fulfill before CHRIST comes to RAPTURE HIS CHURCH. As Christians, we might not be here much longer, and I pray that's true.
