Perhaps the scientists just missed the point - it isn't the warm drink but the warm hospitality that makes the difference. The Bible tells us to be hospitable!

I got my long woolies and extra blankets out just in time. We've been having light frost at night for several weeks now. Tonight is the first freeze warning for the season for this area. It is supposed to get down to 34 with a windchill in the lower 20's. I've got plenty of coffee, the furnace has been checked out and ready to turn on so I say let it come. I've also got some hot chocolate with marshmallows ready. I've also got some apple cider with cinnamon sticks that's ready to heat up.

good night. I am resting in Jesus's arms
Hello Brother David! The number one thing I give thanks for is to also be resting in the Arms of JESUS. We are safe and secure for ETERNITY. It's time for another cup of coffee. The doctor has told me to drink all the coffee I can stand, so I'm glad that I like it. I know that you drink tea, so have some and put some lemon in it. My wife is a schoolteacher and kids me about coffee. She also drinks hot tea and tells me it's a better choice for INTELLECTUALS. OK, I'm not an intellectual, but I do have some COMMON CENTS. My spell-checker works perfectly.

How are you Brother Tom? I missed you
Hello Brother David! I'm doing pretty good. I have also missed you and all of the sweet Christians here. My old computer just turned into a trot-line anchor, and I wasn't quite ready for it. I had been putting some money aside, and the replacement is going to be really nice. I'm happy to be back. Love In Christ, Tom

I pray each one of y'all have a great day in the Lord. I feel that soon there will be persecution in the world like, never before seen. One thing to remember is that, John 15:18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. Keep your faith in Christ close to you. One day, we will see each other, and thats a day I look forwards too. Hmmmmmm, I wonder if there is coffee in heaven?? Resting in the hands, of the Lord. Bob

You are right, brother. The threats of persecution have already begun. We can be sure that it will go much beyond just threats.
As for coffee in heaven ... I am also sure that there will be something much better than any coffee.

2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. AMEN AND AMEN! KEEP LOOKING UP!
THE RAPTURE WILL BE A REALITY!
1 Thessalonians 4:13 NASB But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope.
1 Thessalonians 4:14 NASB For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 4:15 NASB For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep.
1 Thessalonians 4:16 NASB For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
1 Thessalonians 4:17 NASB Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.
1 Thessalonians 4:18 NASB Therefore comfort one another with these words. ____________________________
1 Corinthians 15:50 NASB Now I say this, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.
1 Corinthians 15:51 NASB Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed,
1 Corinthians 15:52 NASB in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.
1 Corinthians 15:53 NASB For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality.
1 Corinthians 15:54 NASB But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written, "DEATH IS SWALLOWED UP in victory.
1 Corinthians 15:55 NASB "O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR VICTORY? O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR STING?"
1 Corinthians 15:56 NASB The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law;
1 Corinthians 15:57 NASB but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:58 NASB Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord. He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them, ____________________________
Revelation 21:4 NASB and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away."
Revelation 21:5 NASB And He who sits on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." And He *said, "Write, for these words are faithful and true."
Revelation 21:6 NASB Then He said to me, "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost.
Revelation 21:7 NASB "He who overcomes will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be My son.
Revelation 21:8 NASB "But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."
Revelation 21:9 NASB Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and spoke with me, saying, "Come here, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb."
Revelation 21:10 NASB And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,
Revelation 21:11 NASB having the glory of God. Her brilliance was like a very costly stone, as a stone of crystal-clear jasper.
Revelation 21:12 NASB It had a great and high wall, with twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels; and names were written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel.
Revelation 21:13 NASB There were three gates on the east and three gates on the north and three gates on the south and three gates on the west.
Revelation 21:14 NASB And the wall of the city had twelve foundation stones, and on them were the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
Revelation 21:15 NASB The one who spoke with me had a gold measuring rod to measure the city, and its gates and its wall.
Revelation 21:16 NASB The city is laid out as a square, and its length is as great as the width; and he measured the city with the rod, fifteen hundred miles; its length and width and height are equal.
Revelation 21:17 NASB And he measured its wall, seventy-two yards, according to human measurements, which are also angelic measurements.
Revelation 21:18 NASB The material of the wall was jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass.
Revelation 21:19 NASB The foundation stones of the city wall were adorned with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation stone was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, chalcedony; the fourth, emerald;
Revelation 21:20 NASB the fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz; the tenth, chrysoprase; the eleventh, jacinth; the twelfth, amethyst.
Revelation 21:21 NASB And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; each one of the gates was a single pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.
Revelation 21:22 NASB I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.
Revelation 21:23 NASB And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb.
