I wasn't talking about that. I was talking about communicating with a deaf blind person. Even if they learn sign language, you can't tell if they even understand it.
The average person may not be able to tell if they understand it or not but someone close to them can tell. Such a person does have changes in attitude and in responses when things are understood and when they are not. They can display happiness, sadness and much more just as any person can.

Hello Brother David, There are other communication systems that disabled people can learn. I don't know very much about them, but I do know that they can be very happy, intelligent, and fulfilled people. Communication and learning is obviously more difficult, but it's surprising what they can do. Average people don't understand how sophisticated and intelligent they can be. They can learn about anything they want to, and they can think and feel things about GOD much the same way that we do. In fact, their thoughts and feelings about GOD may be more intense. Brother David, I certainly don't claim to understand all of this. I have seen a Braille Bible, and I watched a sweet Christian woman use it with considerable skill. She went to church with us for many years. She did let me look at her Bible and ask questions about it. She was very kind in trying to explain it to me and even gave me a small lesson in Braille. I'll just say that I considered it to be amazing, especially considering how fast she was able to read her Bible. There are many other communication systems, maybe even some new ones that few have heard of. My dad was in the ministry for 60 years. He visited deaf people on a regular basis and was able to sign. This is something else that I considered to be amazing. I must add that some systems of sign language are quite beautiful to watch, especially when the subject matter is the Bible and GOD. Brother David, there are a large number of things that average people don't know very much about. We're talking about the limits of mankind with various disabilities in this thread, but we didn't talk about the limits of GOD. GOD doesn't have any limits. GOD does as HE pleases in Heaven and on Earth. Many of HIS Ways are beyond our understanding, even though we are Christians and KNOW that HE works in and through our lives every day. All of mankind has physical and mental limits, but GOD DOESN'T and HE is the CREATOR. Think about the portion of Scripture below. Love In Christ, Tom Favorite Bible Quotes 290 - Matthew 11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.

Brother, yes you can tell, if they understand sing language. I know of a blind, deaf-mute that does talk in sign language. I myself can, and do talk in sign. A blind, deaf-mute person reads the hands, in sign language. They must be able to touch the signers hands though.

GOOD MORNING Brother Bob, Brother David, and All! I'm about to get a second cup of coffee. I might even get wild and add some hazelnut Coffee-Mate to it. We even found some high-fiber, whole-wheat bread that tastes pretty good. It's time for some toast also. Brother Bob, have a great day. Love In Christ, Tom Christian Quotes 142 - The prayer of Agur There is a true and deep philosophy in the prayer of Agur - "Give me neither poverty nor riches! Give me just enough to satisfy my needs." Proverbs 30:8 -- John MacDuff 1895

I'll never tell. The worst part is; those curlers are hand-me-downs. But then again, so are the dentures!
