Rom 1:19 is the answer to that also. God has the ability to do any and all that He wants.

Brother, you know what I mean. How does she know what she did is wrong if she can't be told?

God has put it in the hearts of everyone (manifest in them) to know what is right and what is wrong. Some people just prefer to ignore that and do those things that are wrong anyway.

Let me add some more for thought on this. When Adam and Eve took from tree of the knowledge of good and evil mankind became just that ... knowledgable of the difference between good and evil. It is this knowledge that we have inherent within us now. So even if we are blind and deaf our hearts can still hear God.

Brothers and Sisters,

YES - I have my coffee, and I know it's after midnight - at least in this part of the world. I'm having a good time reading some excellent Christian materials.

I know this area is for chat and relaxation, but I'd like to ask everyone to think about something. Could we still have some fun in this area and discuss a few ideas about the most important subject in the world?

What does this lost and dying world need to know about GOD and why?

For Christians, this is a pleasant topic, one that I would hope that we'll enjoy. Even the most basic answers to these questions are important, and they are the motivation for our lives. Each answer has a big impact and side issues, and all of the side issues are also important. By the way, these are the types of things that Christians discuss when they sit down to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee with other Brothers and Sisters in Christ.

I'll start it off, and the first one has many important side issues. The side issues impact the reality of our lives every day.

1 - THIS LOST WORLD NEEDS TO KNOW THAT ALMIGHTY GOD IS THE CREATOR!

Think about the "why" of this answer and what it might lead to. It's simple, and I hope it's the start of a pleasant conversation among Brothers and Sisters in Christ.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Favorite Bible Quotes 164 - Hebrews 10:1-10 For the law having a
shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things,
can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year
continually make the comers thereunto perfect. 2 For then would they
not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once
purged should have had no more conscience of sins. 3 But in those
sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. 4 For
it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take
away sins. 5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith,
Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou
prepared me: 6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had
no pleasure. 7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it
is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. 8 Above when he said,
Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou
wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the
law; 9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away
the first, that he may establish the second. 10 By the which will we
are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once
for all.

What does she do that is wrong?

Hello David,

First let me say that for the most part she is a very, very sweet child but like most children she does have her moments, moments of being stubborn and wanting her way on things when her way is not necessarily a good thing for her. This is not unlike adults that refuse to do what God says we should do for our own good. To be more specific at times refuses to eat her meals and instead goes straight for the sweets and will even attempt to steal them. There are times that she refuses to go to bed even though she is extremely tired. Sometimes she will even strike out, attempting to hit others that have made her mad for some reason. These are just a few of the things and is quite normal for children to do whether they can see and hear or not.

The thoughts in Brother Tom's last post though does apply even in this situation.

btw ... My niece has learned to "feel" American Sign Language and has learned about Jesus and salvation. She is now 16 and has accepted Christ as her Saviour.

I understand now and I apologize for being stubborn. I still wonder many things though and I guess it is beyond my understanding.

Many things are beyond our understanding that is the reason we are told to have the faith of a child.

Hello Brother David,

Think about what would happen if children got to do what they wanted to and nobody corrected them. First, curiosity alone would get them killed. Just think about electricity, sharp objects, hot objects, and all kinds of things that can cause serious injury or death. By the way, lying, cheating, and stealing are natural behaviors that don't have to be learned. The opposite is what has to be learned. The same is true of being selfish, self-centered, and all kinds of other natural things that have to be overcome. If a child has bad parents teaching them the wrong things, it's easy to develop a dangerous criminal before the age of 10. I realize this sounds strange, but many people actually do start their criminal career long before the age of 10. It's easy and natural. On the other side of the coin is good parents struggling to bring their children up in the nurture and admonition of the LORD. This is a hard and challenging job these days. I feel sorry for children who are born into families where nobody cares or mom and dad are career criminals. I give thanks every day that I had Godly parents who loved me and did the best they could to bring me up for the LORD.

Love In Christ,
Tom

No Condemnation in Him

What does this lost and dying world need to know about GOD and why?

I'll go with this.  For me, what I needed to know most was that God was/is love.  As a child, young woman, and into middle age I never felt that anyone loved me.  Not really.  I did not have a good childhood.  My father was abusive if he was around, and my mother was critical and emotionally and verbally abusive.  I left home very young and literally searched from one coast to the other for that one person that would truely love me.  In that search alot of things happened.  Drug and alcohol addiction, fornication, stealing.  You can just about name it.  I did it or it was done to me.  (To quote myself: I am nothing if I'm not honest.)
So when I finally came to the point in my life where I tried everything but God and was ready to let him in, I HAD to know that He loved me no matter what.

This is true for the women that I work with.  Life hasn't been easy and we've done alot of things that others would condemn us for, but not Jesus.  Ever notice the caption under my picture of Jesus?  It's there for a very important reason to me.  Do I have regrets about my past?  You bet I do.  Am I ashamed?  Absolutely not.  I'm forgiven!  My past also allows me to reach others now.  To be real.  To send the message that if God could love and save a wretch like me, he can love and save you too!  In fact He died to!

AMEN GRAMMYLUV!

Only GOD can serve as the example of pure and perfect love. The world doesn't have a clue unless it's learned from JESUS and the CROSS. The same is certainly true for righteousness. If we have ANY, it was IMPUTED to our account from JESUS CHRIST. Our best qualities are seen only in and through JESUS CHRIST. We live only because HE lives, and I'm talking about Eternal Life - not the temporary and short life we have on this earth. CHRIST is actually the definition of these perfect attributes, and they are possible ONLY in HIM. GOD THE FATHER is well pleased with GOD THE SON, so we can also please GOD THE FATHER by being in CHRIST and CHRIST in us. In short, we are incomplete, broken, and LOST without CHRIST. HE makes us fit for the inheritance with the Saints in LIGHT - and HE is that LIGHT - a PURE and EVERLASTING LIGHT! Here's a most beautiful Portion of Scripture that explains it well:

2 Corinthians 4:1-18  Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;  2  But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.  3  But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:  4  In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.  5  For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.  6  For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.  7  But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.  8  We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;  9  Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;  10  Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.  11  For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.  12  So then death worketh in us, but life in you.  13  We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;  14  Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.  15  For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.  16  For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.  17  For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;  18  While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Thanks Brother Tom!  And great scripture.  It is true that when we die to ourselfs and rise in Jesus we are new creations.  I have had people come up to me after I've given my testimony and say that they would never have guessed by looking at me.  Well that's because I'm a new person!  I'm not who I once was. That old Yvette is dead and raised new in Christ!  Amen!

Hello GrammyLuv,

I just got a fresh cup of coffee, and the timing was perfect to read your post. I read your post and was thinking that you just described a great secret in CHRIST. GOD freely gives us Spiritual Treasures in HIS WORD and in HIS PERSON. If we can't get enough of the most important things that GOD wants to give us, we are a healthy and happy Christian who doesn't depend on the world to be happy. THIS IS THE WAY IT SHOULD BE. We can look at countless examples of Christians who should have been down and depressed with their circumstances in the world. The Apostle Paul is always my favorite example because he was a man of such great contrasts. First, I think his writing is some of the most beautiful in the entire Bible, yet we must remember that he was beaten, imprisoned, and eventually martyred. Contrast Paul's world circumstances with his Spiritual circumstances. The worse his world circumstances became, the better his Spiritual circumstances became. Another great contrast is who Paul was before his conversion to who Paul became with JESUS CHRIST as his LORD and SAVIOUR. Paul had been a hunter and persecutor of Christians, and then he became the hunted and persecuted. If we looked at Paul through the eyes of the world, Paul should have been down, out, depressed, and defeated. BUT, looking at Christians through the eyes of the world doesn't work. Paul was the opposite.

Many of the happiest Christians have very little in the way of material wealth, and their life circumstances might be hard. Through sickness and other difficulties - they remain happy, and many of their friends wonder WHY? We belong to JESUS CHRIST, and the HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD lives in our hearts. If we have taken the advice of GOD'S WORD, we don't love this world or the things of this world. This world isn't what makes us happy, and this world isn't our HOME. The LOVE and Promises of GOD is what makes us happy. Our riches are Spiritual Riches that last forever, so we don't need material things to be happy. No Christian will tell you that they enjoy sickness, poverty or being hungry, but even those things can't rob a Christian of the most important things in their lives. This is why the Apostle Paul was still happy and fulfilled in prison and EVEN when he was about to be executed. I said that you were talking about a secret, but it was really the opposite of a secret. The Apostle Paul had great joy in telling others about JESUS CHRIST. If it was a secret, Paul wanted to share this secret with everyone. The same should be true for us. The Holy Bible tells us how our JOY can be more full even in this short life. The instructions deal with Studying the Holy Bible, partaking in Spiritual things, and having fellowship with CHRIST and others. The instructions don't include material wealth and popularity with the world. We are to give thanks to GOD for everything HE gives us, regardless of our station or circumstances in this short life. Would our relationship and riches in CHRIST change if we were slaves and beaten on a regular basis? NO! What would change our relationship and riches in CHRIST? NOTHING except our own poor attitude or rebellion against GOD!

Love In Christ,
Tom

I wasn't talking about that. I was talking about communicating with a deaf blind person. Even if they learn sign language, you can't tell if they even understand it.
