THANKS! The baby girl was fairly small at a little bit less than 6 pounds. Mother and baby are doing great with no health problems at all. Again, the picture of my niece that I have in my mind is her as a baby. Time flies! My wife has to remind me fairly often that the children have grown up. I'll give thanks that this little girl has strong Christian parents who will definitely bring her up in the nurture and admonition of the LORD. Love In Christ, Tom Favorite Bible Quotes 306 - Matthew 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

She actually looks considerably different from the picture. I'll just say that she's a keeper, and she can call me anything she wants to.
AMEN brother, all babies are keepers in my own mind. Congratulations again brother. Well I'm off to bed, you have a wonderful night brother......... Nighty, night

Goodnight and sweet dreams everyone! YES - babies are gifts from GOD, and they are all keepers. They add great joy to our lives, and it's another joy to bring them up in the LORD. Love In Christ, Tom Favorite Bible Quotes 30 - 1 Corinthians 3:11-15 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

Here I am up before the early birds and no I'm not trying to catch any worms. We just had a severe storm come through. The radar showed a tornado heading right straight at us. The warning sirens went off and a County Sheriff reported seeing the tornado on the ground. Just before it hit town it disappeared. The storm cell has passed over now but we have a second one heading for us so I guess that I will be up at least till that passes.

Good morning David and everyone. Yes it would be a good idea not to look up if you are driving unless you have abnormally excellent peripheral vision.

Hello Brother David and All, First, I appreciate the driving advice. I hate those really short drives that end abruptly with twisting metal noises and the car falling apart. Pastor Roger, I was just thinking some about the weather. We have so many alerts every year that I quit counting. We have our weather alarm set extremely loud, but I still slept through the last one. It was one of those times when I was just worn out and slept like a log. I don't know what it would have taken to wake me up - maybe a pitcher of ice-water. My brothers and I used to do things like that to each other when we were growing up. YES - I've been on the receiving end and didn't like it. I'll just say that it wasn't refreshing. We've actually had pretty nice weather here for the last couple of days, but weather here changes at the drop of a hat.

It would be more pleasant than the technique we used in the Navy to teach people to be light sleepers ... A really hot, full cup of coffee set on their chest. People would at least learn to wake up without moving first.

I was thinking about something. Years ago I watched a show about kids with disabilities. There was a girl who was born completely deaf and blind. I was thinking, how would she view life? She probably doesn't even realize she is disabled.
I don't mean to say anything against what God has said but, how could she sin? How can she know about God?

The story of Helen Keller is a fine example of this situation. She wasn't born deaf and blind but had a disease with a high fever. This happened before she was old enough to learn to speak a single word. I have a niece that has CP and is both deaf and blind. Believe me, she knows when she has done something wrong and without any prompting. I don't mean to say anything against what God has said but, how could she sin? How can she know about God?
Brother, this is a question that has been brought up time and again. It is just like the question about a person that lives in an isolated area of the world where no one has been there to tell them about God. God has given us the answer to this: Rom 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Rom 1:19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. Rom 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Rom 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

Rom 1:19 is the answer to that also. God has the ability to do any and all that He wants.
