Your wish is granted............................. THANKS! I can't remember if this is the same episode or not, but it will work. All of their pie fights were great, but I think the one I'm thinking about is the best of all time. Some of the younger people are probably wondering what we're talking about. To help them out some, it was what they used to call slap-stick comedy. It was completely clean and really quite funny.

Brothers and Sisters, It's been one of those long days and I'm going to try an old guy nap. I tried to do something with a huge to-do list and almost made a dent in it. It was all Bible Study related, and I hope to be sharing some of it soon. In the meantime: Love In Christ, Tom

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE! I have my coffee, and I plan to start my day with Bible Study. I've been thinking about something that I want to share. If you think about this, I think it will make perfect common sense to you. This lost, evil, and dying world DOES NOT need religion - IT NEEDS JESUS CHRIST!There are many bad things coming in the name of religion, and this will become worse as the End Days of this Age of Grace draw nearer. The ONLY answer is JESUS CHRIST - not religion! HE is the ONLY SALVATION from the curse of sin and death. Thankfully, the GOOD NEWS about how to be SAVED is simple enough for a child to understand. This is the greatest need of the world today.GOOD NEWS! 1: Romans 3:10 NASB as it is written, "THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NOT EVEN ONE; THERE IS NONE WHO UNDERSTANDS, THERE IS NONE WHO SEEKS FOR GOD; ALL HAVE TURNED ASIDE, TOGETHER THEY HAVE BECOME USELESS; THERE IS NONE WHO DOES GOOD, THERE IS NOT EVEN ONE."
2: Romans 3:23 NASB for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
3: Romans 5:12 NASB Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned--
4: Romans 6:23 NASB For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
5: Romans 1:18 NASB For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
6: Romans 3:20 NASB because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes the knowledge of sin.
7: Romans 3:27 NASB Where then is boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? Of works? No, but by a law of faith.
8: Romans 5:8-9 NASB But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him.
9: Romans 2:4 NASB Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and tolerance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?
10: Romans 3:22 NASB even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction;
11: Romans 3:28 NASB For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law.
12: Romans 10:9 NASB that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
13: Romans 4:21 NASB and being fully assured that what God had promised, He was able also to perform.
14: Romans 4:24 NASB but for our sake also, to whom it will be credited, as those who believe in Him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead,
15: Romans 5:1 NASB Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
16: Romans 10:10 NASB for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
17: Romans 10:13 NASB for "WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED." Thanks be unto GOD for HIS unspeakable GIFT!, JESUS CHRIST, our Lord and Saviour forever!

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!
I had one of those working nights and got a lot of my current to do list done. I'll share it with you later today. I've been working with some very old and quite beautiful material. NOW, I'm thinking about an old guy nap.
Have a great morning and remember:
This is another wonderful day that the LORD has made - let us be glad and rejoice in it.

Brothers and Sisters, I'm sick, so I'm going to take things easier over the next several days and try to get to feeling better. I decided to put this here because nobody appears to be reading this thread. Have a cup of coffee and have fun.

I'm sorry to hear that you're not feeling well, brother. I've been pretty busy lately and today there has been a lot of thunder storms here keeping me to little time on the forum so I haven't had a lot of time to post here but I have been reading it.
I'm sitting here during a lull in the storms with a good cup of coffee. Do get to feeling better. My prayers are with you as always.

Thanks Pastor Roger! I appreciate the prayers and keep many in my prayers every day. There are many in our part of the country with homes destroyed, and there is more rough weather in the forecasts. Many of us are like the old hymn, "Standing in the Need of Prayer".Love In Christ, Tom

Hello Brother David, It's great to hear from you, but I'm sad that you're going through such a hard time. Brother, you have my email address, and you are most welcome to use it any time you wish. I understand how tiring it can be to deal with long-term disability and pain. I think there are many Christians with and without illnesses who are wanting to go HOME, but we're still here for a short time. Brother, I'd like to encourage you to pray about this and know that you're still here for a reason, and that would be GOD'S Reasons. GOD may have some important work he wants you to do. Brother David, many of us have serious illnesses to deal with, including many on the forum and myself. Please let me give you something to think about and pray about. The Apostle Paul also dealt with illness in his body, and he had a desire to go HOME. However, he had a stronger desire to finish the course GOD had for him. The way Paul put it was finishing his race and fighting a good fight. He fought on and was eventually martyred in the cause and name of CHRIST. Brother, our time here will be short any way we look at it, and the RAPTURE could really happen at any time now. I want to go HOME too, but I want it to be GOD'S Time. I would also pray that GOD uses me however HE wants to until the last moments on this earth. Brother, we have Eternity together with JESUS, and that time will be soon. Brother David, I really don't think that a debate about this issue would help you nearly as much as Prayer in trying to find out what GOD'S Will for you is right now. HE is worthy for whatever HE needs or wants from us, and the ultimate is for all GLORY to go to HIM. GOD can and does use broken things for HIS GLORY and to reach the lost for Salvation. YES - HE many times uses suffering Christians to reach the lost. Brother, PRAY and try to find out. Many of us have been praying for you for a long time, and I know that you have also been praying for us. I appreciate your prayers. I will be increasing my prayers for you. Some of the questions you have are very difficult. Please let me say one simple thing for right now: If GOD wanted you home, you would be home. This would be regardless of medical conditions and medical technology. You're still here, so is there something else GOD wants you to do? Brother, lets all pray about GOD'S Will and Purpose for each one of us and yield.Brother, Please give me a few minutes. I have some Scripture I want to post for you. Love In Christ, Tom Ephesians 1:18-23 NASB I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

Brother David, These are a few portions of Scripture where the Apostle Paul talks about affliction and trials, many of which were his. 2 Corinthians 1:1-11 NASB Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, To the church of God which is at Corinth with all the saints who are throughout Achaia: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For just as the sufferings of Christ are ours in abundance, so also our comfort is abundant through Christ. But if we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; or if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which is effective in the patient enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer; and our hope for you is firmly grounded, knowing that as you are sharers of our sufferings, so also you are sharers of our comfort. For we do not want you to be unaware, brethren, of our affliction which came to us in Asia, that we were burdened excessively, beyond our strength, so that we despaired even of life; indeed, we had the sentence of death within ourselves so that we would not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead; who delivered us from so great a peril of death, and will deliver us, He on whom we have set our hope. And He will yet deliver us, you also joining in helping us through your prayers, so that thanks may be given by many persons on our behalf for the favor bestowed on us through the prayers of many.Romans 8:16-28 NASB The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him. For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us. For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body. For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it. In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.2 Corinthians 5:1-21 NASB For we know that if the earthly tent which is our house is torn down, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For indeed in this house we groan, longing to be clothed with our dwelling from heaven, inasmuch as we, having put it on, will not be found naked. For indeed while we are in this tent, we groan, being burdened, because we do not want to be unclothed but to be clothed, so that what is mortal will be swallowed up by life. Now He who prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave to us the Spirit as a pledge. Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord -- for we walk by faith, not by sight -- we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord. Therefore we also have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord, we persuade men, but we are made manifest to God; and I hope that we are made manifest also in your consciences. We are not again commending ourselves to you but are giving you an occasion to be proud of us, so that you will have an answer for those who take pride in appearance and not in heart. For if we are beside ourselves, it is for God; if we are of sound mind, it is for you. For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died; and He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf. Therefore from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer. Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.Brother David, please read these portions of Scripture slowly and carefully. Please remember that we are no longer our own. We were bought with a price - the blood of CHRIST on the CROSS - and we belong to HIM. We are also HIS Ambassadors. The last portion of Scripture talks about our current body being like a tent. In other words, it will be for our temporary use. GOD will give us a Glorified Body at HIS Appointed Time. Brother, please do email me, and I'll do the best I can to help you. Also know that many sweet Christians will be praying for you. Love In Christ, Tom Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable GIFT, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour Forever!

GOOD MORNING BROTHER DAVID! Please know that you are always most welcome to email me. I'll enjoy visiting and corresponding with you. I'll also try to answer it as quickly as possible. You might or might not know that I'm disabled and rarely go anywhere. We might be able to compare notes and both be uplifted in CHRIST. Brother, our strength is in CHRIST - not ourselves. Regardless of our circumstances, we have much to give thanks for. After all, we are CHILDREN OF THE KING OF KINGS! Love In Christ, Tom I am Thine, O Lord
I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice, And it told Thy love to me; But I long to rise in the arms of faith And be closer drawn to Thee.
Refrain
Draw me nearer, nearer blessed Lord, To the cross where Thou hast died. Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer blessed Lord, To Thy precious, bleeding side.
Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord, By the power of grace divine; Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope, And my will be lost in Thine.
Refrain
O the pure delight of a single hour That before Thy throne I spend, When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God I commune as friend with friend!
Refrain
There are depths of love that I cannot know Till I cross the narrow sea; There are heights of joy that I may not reach Till I rest in peace with Thee.
Refrain
