Amen!

Our HEAVENLY FATHER certainly does take care of us, and I give thanks that HE always gives us much more than we deserve. We should count our blessings often and never take anything for granted. All Thanks, Glory, and Praise goes to GOD. We are the Children of the KING OF KINGS, and that's the way HE really wants to treat us.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Well I brought two big pots of coffee and homemade cookies. That cake sure looked good till it got hosed off. I hope you all will forgive my often blunt sounding words of the last week or so. Bad headaches, ear aches, and over-all pain in muscles has at times made my fingers run faster than my brain. I have edited my words and give a round of applause to all of you who make this site a safe and enjoyable forum for all. Hope you all have a wonderful evening. Many praises to our Lord for His mighty works and the love He has for each and everyone of us.   Smiley Smiley

Hello Islandboy,

We all have our ups and downs, and we are all forgiven. I give thanks for that. For many reasons, I think this is a pretty hard time for Christians in many areas on top of illness. GOD has another measure of Grace for all of us just for the asking.

I do think we are nearing the End Times for this Age of Grace. If so, things are going to get a lot harder. For Christians, this should be a time of more prayer, growing closer in CHRIST, and growing in the Strength of CHRIST. So, we can make the hard times good times with the help of GOD. We will lose many of our battles, but CHRIST will win them all in HIS Appointed Time, Our ultimate thoughts should involve us being in GOD'S Mighty Hands.

By the way, I can have the coffee, but I have to leave the cookies and cake.   Cheesy  I can exchange those for either Melba toast or a whole wheat, high fiber English muffin with raisins. I'll take the English muffin.  Cheesy

Love In Christ,
Tom

One of My Favorite Portions of Scripture:
Ephesians 1:18-23 NASB I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

Just sittin here with a cup of coffee unwinding before I try to get some sleep. We've had many blessings recently even though we have been battling the flu. My computer monitor decided to go on the fritz. I had a smaller monitor as a backup so I set it up just to have it go out a few minutes later. The blessing in that? My wife just received an inheritance so we were able to get a brand new flat screen monitor. The Lord's hands kept the old one going long enough for some money to come in where we could afford the new one.

So what's the other blessings?  There's a rumor that you have a new grandchild!

Yes, we had a new addition to the family. A wonderful, healthy little grandson. That was the best of the blessings. The inheritance was the other that took care of many things. We weren't expecting anything at all as they have a large family. It was a substantially large inheritance. Large enough to pay off several bills that have been nagging us and to replace many worn out items that I have been doing a lot of repairs to and could no longer repair. It came at just the right moment.

Oh!  That's wonderful!  Especially the grandson part!  My little man (who calls you Pasta Roga) just turned 4 on Friday.  I wasn't able to be there because of work.  Actually I haven't been able to see him since Valentines' Day because of being so sick.  That has been really hard because I'm used to having him every week on my days off!  I will get to see him this week though on my day off.  I told him Grammy's birthday was next and he wanted to know if he could share it with me!  Of course I think he's the cutest thing living!
My father also sent me a huge chunk of money recently.  He's got cancer real bad and sent all of us kids some money now so that we won't have to pay taxes on it later.  It really came in handy with moving expenses and I still have some in the bank to put towards a new vehicle when I get in my new place.  No sense doing it now since I'm in downtown Seattle and would have to pay through the my nose to park.
Well congradulations on all of your blessings.  God is always right on time, isn't he?

Good morning Brother Bob. It's great to see you here. The coffee does taste really good today. I haven't been here much the last few days myself. Two days ago I got called away and had to run. I left my computer running as I didn't even have time to shut it off. I quickly grabbed some cough drops as I still have a bit of a cough hanging on from this bug that is going around. I set the bag of cough drops on the desk next to the computer keyboard (or so I thought I did anyway). I got back home late at night after being gone since early morning and found the edge of the bag of cough drops were sitting on one key. It caused all sorts of problems. It burned the keyboard out.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes It also caused some software issues in the computer that I had to resolve. I just went to bed that night. It took me most of the following day to resolve the problems.

Moral of the story? Don't be in such a hurry that you mess up your computer. Have some coffee and relax.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

It's not morning, but the coffee is still good.

It's great to hear from you brother Bob. We thought there for awhile that one o'dem grisly bears carried you off in the mountains and ate you. BUT, I guess it was the other way around.   Cheesy

It's nice to have you back.

Love In Christ,
Tom

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!

YES - I have my coffee, but I'm not quite awake yet. I got a good night of rest, so I'm almost like a piece of chained-down lightning!   Wink  (Small Print - not quite)

As Christians, we all have much to give thanks for, regardless of our individual circumstances. This was my first thought this morning and one I wanted to share with everyone. We always have good reasons and cause to Give Thanks and Praise the LORD. All we have to do is remember who we are in CHRIST and reflect on GOD'S Promises to us.

Colossians 1:9-12 NASB
For this reason also, since the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience; joyously giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light.

1 Corinthians 15:50-58 NASB
Now I say this, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality. But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written, "DEATH IS SWALLOWED UP in victory. "O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR VICTORY? O  DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR STING?" The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law; but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.

Ephesians 5:19-20 NASB
speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father;

Revelation 11:13-19 NASB
And in that hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell; seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven. The second woe is past; behold, the third woe is coming quickly. Then the seventh angel sounded; and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ; and He will reign forever and ever." And the twenty-four elders, who sit on their thrones before God, fell on their faces and worshiped God, saying, "We give You thanks, O Lord God, the Almighty, who are and who were, because You have taken Your great power and have begun to reign. "And the nations were enraged, and Your wrath came, and the time came for the dead to be judged, and the time to reward Your bond-servants the prophets and the saints and those who fear Your name, the small and the great, and to destroy those who destroy the earth." And the temple of God which is in heaven was opened; and the ark of His covenant appeared in His temple, and there were flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder and an earthquake and a great hailstorm.

Good Morning Littleboy!

I'm glad to hear that things are going good for you, but you will remain in our prayers.

Cheesy  I think that quite a few of us know something about various problems with the "Get-Along". Example:  transmission, differential, rear-end, and suspension all relate to the "Get-Along". The worst problems are with the "Get-Along" itself.  Broken or missing isn't good.   Grin   Some of us really need a complete overhaul.

If your "Get-Along" is working at all, be nice to it and take care of it.   Grin
