No cat fish for me ... I'm even scared to try tilapia, some people say it tastes like catfish.

NOW - you've made me hungry.
UM? - I wonder how cod is dunked in coffee. Catfish is great! You just put some tartar sauce at the bottom of your coffee cup and dunk away.

I hope that everyone knows that I was kidding about dunking fish in my coffee. I've never tried that - have you? We also have Walleye in area lakes, and I will have to say they are one of my favorites. They are also a lot of fun to catch. They put up a good fight, so you have to earn your supper. I'll have my coffee in a few minutes, but I'll go ahead and say: GOOD MORNING!

Good Morning. Since the topic is still about fish, I will add a fish story here. When I was growing up my Dad was a fishermen of trout. I never cared much for them as food, cause of all the bones, but loved seeing them swimming in the lille eddies near the bank under the shade of big overhanging trees. My Dad, could catch 'em when the banks were lined with fishermen who were not catching anything but themselves and tree branches. Dad always cleaned his fish at the creek or stream, then brought them home and put them in the sink for Mom to get them ready to cook. I hated seeing their eyes staring at me from the kitchen sink. My thoughtful brother told me Mom used the eyes in tapioca pudding, thus destroying my enjoyment of that as well. I got even with him and told him that Mom made spagetti from bait worms.

Good morning all. I haven't dunked fish in my coffee but I did have some coffee from Starbucks that tasted like they had. My thoughtful brother told me Mom used the eyes in tapioca pudding, thus destroying my enjoyment of that as well. I got even with him and told him that Mom made spagetti from bait worms. Don't forget the live crawdads in the tomato soup.

Good Morning Again Everyone! Thanks Islandboy for the story. I got a big laugh out of it and needed that laugh. Real-life stories like this are many times better than any comedian can write. Spaghetti was something we had on a regular basis when I was growing up because it easy to afford. YES - my brothers and I practiced various worm stories, but the tapioca pudding story is a new one on me. We did have some family fishing adventures when I was a child, but we rarely caught anything big enough to take home. It was mainly the little crappie that we caught. However, I did learn how to catch much bigger fish as an adult, and they were keepers to take home and eat. I did clean them completely at the lake and kept my wife happy. I think that fish heads are only good for folks making soup with them. That never was our cup of tea, so the fish heads stayed at the lake. NOW - frog legs were a different story. It took me a long time to learn how to make my wife happy with those. I cleaned them but didn't know about the nerve in the leg that makes them jump while they're being cooked. I brought home only the legs, and they were ready to cook. I was good at getting frogs, and we had frogs all the time. If you're wondering, YES - I did learn how to deal with the nerve. I'll never forget the first time I brought them home. She ran completely out of the house while trying to cook some frog legs. She flat said NO! to anything moving during cooking. An older friend showed me the tricks in cleaning. I laughed till I cried, but my wife didn't think it was funny at all.

I'm glad that my wife isn't here to look over my shoulder and see that message. I would be in trouble again. Job's turkey had more money than we had in our early marriage, so we eventually learned how to clean and cook many things. I always had a hard rule that if I hunted or caught anything, it would be to eat. If we didn't like something, I tried something else. I think we were married about 10 years before we had two nickels left to rub together, so Job's turkey still had more money than we had. I'm not complaining at all because I know that GOD provided well for us and our two children. I really have nothing but THANKS!

There is no Tim Horton's around here so I wouldn't know. Juan Valedez' 100% Columbian brewed at home is the best.

I've always liked Folgers. I've used it for years. One time I went to the store and picked some up and it was awful. The next time I went to the store I realized that there were more than just type of Folgers now. There is the Breakfast Blend, Classic (which there is nothing classic about it) 100% Columbian (which is the primary blend Folgers used to sell), and at least 6 more different blends if not more. The 100% Columbian costs more than the others with the Classic being the cheapest. I couldn't believe how many choices they have come up with now. There is even a "roast scale" given on the front of the container to show the strength based on the amount of time the coffee beans were baked ranging from light to extra dark.
