Good Morning. I decided to take the day off, it's too humid to work outside after the good rainstorm we had last night. Not that you call puttering around outside for two hours each day work.  Roll Eyes  I putter for two hours and feel like I worked eight hours straight.   Embarrassed Embarrassed
Have you ever noticed that the older you get, that those older than you always say "Just wait till you get to my age to complain about how you feel, your still young.".  Then when you get to their age, at that time, your still a youngster in their eyes and still can't complain about nothing in front of them, cause they always feel worse or better than you do.   Huh Huh Cheesy Cheesy

lol ... I can understand that.

I used to be one of those that always put the younger folk to shame. Now it's the older ones putting me to shame. I never could outwork my Dad though until he hit 75.

For whatever reason, I slept like a rock last night. I really think that I was worn completely out, but I'm refreshed and having a big cup of coffee flavored with hazelnut. YES - I wild in trying a few flavors, but this really is just about as wild as I get.   Wink

I'm also enjoying reading a few devotions and having fellowship with my brothers and sisters in Christ. I'm glad that there is no limit on the good things that GOD has provided for us. For this and many other things, I GIVE THANKS!

GOOD MORNING!

Someone mentioned that I should consider waxing, but I was told you would also accept me like I am. SO, I'm not changing my appearance.

I'll have a cup of coffee with you and enjoy some devotions from GOD'S WORD.

I was just thinking how RICH we are in the things of the LORD. Here, we can read and study all we want to without any fear of any kind. This brings to mind people in other parts of the world who are being beaten, but in prison, tortured, or killed for having scraps of the Holy Bible or worshiping GOD. We have every reason to GIVE THANKS! We should all be praying for those who are less fortunate in the world, and that should include much more than just food, clothing, and shelter. Many are hungry for the things of GOD and HIS WORD, but they have to risk their very lives to have them.

ESPECIALLY!

Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable GIFT, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour Forever!

A Few Scriptures About Home

Brothers and Sisters,

Here's a few Scriptures about "HOME".

Joh 3:27  John answered and said, "A man can receive nothing unless it has been given him from heaven.

Joh 3:31  "He who comes from above is above all, he who is of the earth is from the earth and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all.

Joh 6:32  Jesus then said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread out of heaven, but it is My Father who gives you the true bread out of heaven.
Joh 6:33  "For the bread of God is that which comes down out of heaven, and gives life to the world."

Joh 6:50  "This is the bread which comes down out of heaven, so that one may eat of it and not die.
Joh 6:51  "I am the living bread that came down out of heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread also which I will give for the life of the world is My flesh."

Act 1:11  They also said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven."

2Co 5:1  For we know that if the earthly tent which is our house is torn down, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
2Co 5:2  For indeed in this house we groan, longing to be clothed with our dwelling from heaven,
2Co 5:3  inasmuch as we, having put it on, will not be found naked.
2Co 5:4  For indeed while we are in this tent, we groan, being burdened, because we do not want to be unclothed but to be clothed, so that what is mortal will be swallowed up by life.
2Co 5:5  Now He who prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave to us the Spirit as a pledge.
2Co 5:6  Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord--
2Co 5:7  for we walk by faith, not by sight--
2Co 5:8  we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord.
2Co 5:9  Therefore we also have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him.
2Co 5:10  For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.
2Co 5:11  Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord, we persuade men, but we are made manifest to God; and I hope that we are made manifest also in your consciences.
2Co 5:12  We are not again commending ourselves to you but are giving you an occasion to be proud of us, so that you will have an answer for those who take pride in appearance and not in heart.
2Co 5:13  For if we are beside ourselves, it is for God; if we are of sound mind, it is for you.
2Co 5:14  For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died;
2Co 5:15  and He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf.
2Co 5:16  Therefore from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer.
2Co 5:17  Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
2Co 5:18  Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation,
2Co 5:19  namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
2Co 5:20  Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
2Co 5:21  He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

A Few Scriptures About Home

Php 3:1  Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things again is no trouble to me, and it is a safeguard for you.
Php 3:2  Beware of the dogs, beware of the evil workers, beware of the false circumcision;
Php 3:3  for we are the true circumcision, who worship in the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh,
Php 3:4  although I myself might have confidence even in the flesh. If anyone else has a mind to put confidence in the flesh, I far more:
Php 3:5  circumcised the eighth day, of the nation of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; as to the Law, a Pharisee;
Php 3:6  as to zeal, a persecutor of the church; as to the righteousness which is in the Law, found blameless.
Php 3:7  But whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ.
Php 3:8  More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ,
Php 3:9  and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith,
Php 3:10  that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death;
Php 3:11  in order that I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.
Php 3:12  Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus.
Php 3:13  Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead,
Php 3:14  I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
Php 3:15  Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, have this attitude; and if in anything you have a different attitude, God will reveal that also to you;
Php 3:16  however, let us keep living by that same  standard to which we have attained.
Php 3:17  Brethren, join in following my example, and observe those who walk according to the pattern you have in us.
Php 3:18  For many walk, of whom I often told you, and now tell you even weeping, that they are enemies of the cross of Christ,
Php 3:19  whose end is destruction, whose god is their appetite, and whose glory is in their shame, who set their minds on earthly things.
Php 3:20  For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ;
Php 3:21  who will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself.

1Th 1:9  For they themselves report about us what kind of a reception we had with you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve a living and true God,
1Th 1:10  and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, that is Jesus, who rescues us from the wrath to come.

1Th 4:13  But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope.
1Th 4:14  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.
1Th 4:15  For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep.
1Th 4:16  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
1Th 4:17  Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.
1Th 4:18  Therefore comfort one another with these words.

A Few Scriptures About Home

1Pe 1:3  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
1Pe 1:4  to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,
1Pe 1:5  who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
1Pe 1:6  In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials,
1Pe 1:7  so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
1Pe 1:8  and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory,
1Pe 1:9  obtaining as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your souls.

Rev 19:11  And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war.
Rev 19:12  His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many diadems; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself.
Rev 19:13  He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.
Rev 19:14  And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses.
Rev 19:15  From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty.
Rev 19:16  And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, "KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS."
Rev 19:17  Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, and he cried out with a loud voice, saying to all the birds which fly in midheaven, "Come, assemble for the great supper of God,
Rev 19:18  so that you may eat the flesh of kings and the flesh of commanders and the flesh of mighty men and the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them and the flesh of all men, both free men and slaves, and small and great."
Rev 19:19  And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies assembled to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army.
Rev 19:20  And the beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who performed the signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image; these two were thrown alive into the lake of fire which burns with brimstone.
Rev 19:21  And the rest were killed with the sword which came from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse, and all the birds were filled with their flesh.

Joh 14:1  "Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.
Joh 14:2  "In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.
Joh 14:3  "If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.

Brother Bob and All,

I like to lean back many times and imagine what JESUS CHRIST might look like and what it might be like to be in HIS presence. The Bible is lacking in information like this, but many things can be inferred from various portions of Scripture. I think that it's really beyond human imagination, and our language would be inadequate for the attempt. When we see HIM, it will be much more than just HIS appearance. As an example, HIS presence will also mean HIS Spirit.

We have various descriptions of JESUS CHRIST as HE manifested HIMSELF to men throughout history and descriptions of HIS manifestation in the flesh. We also have descriptions of HIM as HE is in Heaven and another as HE will be at HIS SECOND COMING. The descriptions range from times of righteous anger to times of gentle love. BUT, HE died for us who accepted HIM and love HIM, and we are already HIS Eternal possessions. Here's an interesting fact: we will know HIM, and HE obviously knows us. We must also remember that the Holy Spirit of GOD lives in our hearts. There are many things too grand and beautiful for us to understand right now, but GOD will reveal more at HIS appointed time.

I spent the day reading and studying beautiful passages of Scripture, and the gist of one stuck in my mind - the gist:  The Heavens are my Throne, and the earth is my footstool, so how will you provide a place for my repose? The answer is we can't, but HE will provide a place for our repose if we belong to HIM. Think about this - how beautiful is this?

Love In Christ,
Tom
