Tea and Coffee

Molly, my sister and I fell out,
And what do you think it was all about?
She loved tea and I loved coffee,
And that was the reason we couldn't agree.

Question:   Is everyone like a piece of chained down lightning?     Huh Huh Had to think about this one. As i am not one to lump everyone together, I would say most are and some are not. Most people get hot under the collar when something goes wrong or not our way in our lives or in the world. We rant and rave to our neighbors and friends, family and forums, but that is where it ends. We say alot but do nothing to help improve the situations. Whether it be minor day-to-day stuff, political or religion matters. Sometimes it is fear of retaliation or just not wanting to get involved, or being unsure of how to go about it, or plain procasnation just never getting to it. That makes a person like a piece chained down lightning.

I now need a cup of coffee.

"Chained down lightning" was as - ripping and rearing to go - hold me back!

By the way, it's difficult to hold back a piece of chained down lightning.

Have another cup of coffee.

I've also used this phrase many times, but to me it means fast, as in fast as greased lightning. I might add that greased lightning in this part of the country is terribly fast.

Amen! Jesus is indeed very God!

Brother, there are many cults out there that do not recognize who God is. This has happened right from the moment that Jesus Himself professed to the Jews who He is.

AMEN brother Jesus is God, the Bible even tells us so. Here is some scripture to back that up.

God never changes.
Malachi 3:6 For I am the Lord, I do not change; that is why you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed.

Jesus never changes.
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ (the Messiah) is [always] the same, yesterday, today, [yes] and forever (to the ages).
~~~~~~~
God is the only Saviour.
Isaiah 43:11 I, even I, am the Lord, and besides Me there is no Savior.
Titus 2:10 Nor to steal by taking things of small value, but to prove themselves truly loyal and entirely reliable and faithful throughout, so that in everything they may be an ornament and do credit to the teaching [which is] from and about God our Savior.
I Timothy 4:10 With a view to this we toil and strive, [yes and] suffer reproach, because we have [fixed our] hope on the living God, Who is the Savior (Preserver, Maintainer, Deliverer) of all men, especially of those who believe (trust in, rely on, and adhere to Him).
Luke 1:47 And my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
Jesus is the only Saviour.
1 John 4:14 And [besides] we ourselves have seen (have deliberately and steadfastly contemplated) and bear witness that the Father has sent the Son [as the] Savior of the world.
II Peter 3:18 But grow in grace (undeserved favor, spiritual strength) and [a]recognition and knowledge and understanding of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (the Messiah). To Him [be] glory (honor, majesty, and splendor) both now and to the day of eternity. Amen (so be it)!
II Peter 1:1 SIMON PETER, a servant and apostle (special messenger) of Jesus Christ, to those who have received (obtained an equal privilege of) like precious faith with ourselves in and through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ:
John 4:42 And they told the woman, Now we no longer believe (trust, have faith) just because of what you said; for we have heard Him ourselves [personally], and we know that He truly is the Savior of the world, the Christ.
Titus 1:4 To Titus, my true child according to a common (general) faith: Grace (favor and spiritual blessing) and [heart] peace from God the Father and the Lord Christ Jesus our Savior.
~~~~~~~

God created the universe and earth by Himself.
Genesis 1:1 IN THE beginning God (prepared, formed, fashioned, and) created the heavens and the earth.
Isaiah 44:24 Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, and He Who formed you from the womb: I am the Lord, Who made all things, Who alone stretched out the heavens, Who spread out the earth by Myself [who was with Me]

Jesus Christ created the universe and the earth.
Hebrews 1:10 And [further], You, Lord, did lay the foundation of the earth in the beginning, and the heavens are the works of Your hands.
Colossians 1:16 For it was in Him that all things were created, in heaven and on earth, things seen and things unseen, whether thrones, dominions, rulers, or authorities; all things were created and exist through Him [by His service, intervention] and in and for Him.
John 1:3 All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being.
~~~~~~~~
God is the Word.
John 1:1 IN THE beginning [before all time] was the Word (]Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself.
Jesus is the Word.
John 1:14 And the Word (Christ) became flesh (human, incarnate) and tabernacled (fixed His tent of flesh, lived awhile) among us; and we [actually] saw His glory (His honor, His majesty), such glory as an only begotten son receives from his father, full of grace (favor, loving-kindness) and truth.
~~~~~~~~

God is the first and the last.
Isaiah 41:4 Who has prepared and done this, calling forth and guiding the destinies of the generations [of the nations] from the beginning? I, the Lord--the first [existing before history began] and with the last [an ever-present, unchanging God]--I am He.

Jesus is the first and the last.
Revelation 1:17
When I saw Him, I fell at His feet as if dead. But He laid His right hand on me and said, Do not be afraid! I am the First and the Last,
~~~~~~~~~~~
I hope this helps you out David, I'm sure there is more scripture to support Jesus is God. Now I'm thirsty, wheres the coffee.
