How about......... "The Man in the moon"

The Man in the moon

Looked out of the moon,

And this is what he said,

'Tis time that, now I'm getting up,

All babies went to bed.......

Stopped by for some coffee.  And to share this with you.
                                                          Ned Nott and Sam Shott

Ned Nott was shot and Sam Shott was not,
So it is better to be Shott than Nott.
Some say Nott was not shot,
But Shott says he shot Nott.
Either the shot Shott shot at Nott was not shot,
                                                   Or Nott was shot.
If the shot Dhott shot shot Nott, Nott was shot,
Then Shott was shot, not Nott.
However, the shot Shott shot shot not Shott, but Nott.

You could make that one real interesting by getting Mr Schnot involved and trying to figure out which one has a runny nose.    Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

 Grin

OK - Who started this?

UM? - Never mind, I think that I did.   Shocked

Someone threw a shell at me from out of the woods, and I returned fire with a pickle that I was taking to grandma's house. A woodchuck ran out of the woods and bit me, and I shot it. NOW, I know that everyone wants to know if I had any pickled peppers with me, and I'm not telling.

It's definitely time for coffee. WOW! - This is a bunch of homework.

Did someone say it's time for coffee?

Cathy Casey cracked a couple of cups of creamy coffee.
Terry Topper tipped a ton of tangled twisted toffee.
With a couple of cracked cups of creamy coffee and a tipped
ton of tangled twisted toffee we now have a ton of tangled twisted
toffee in a couple of cracked cups of creamy coffee.

All I want is a proper cup of coffee
Made in a proper copper coffee pot.
You can believe it or not,
But I just want a cup of coffee
In a proper coffee pot.
Tin coffee pots
Or iron coffee pots
Are of no use to me.
If I can't have
A proper cup of coffee
In a proper copper coffee pot,
I'll have a cup of tea!
Give pa paw a cup of proper coffee in a copper coffee cup.

Grin  I have heard of copper coffee cups, but this is before my time. Let's all go out and buy copper coffee cups to give it a try. Who knows, maybe the taste of coffee is greatly enhanced in copper.

In going back in history, you don't want to go back to far that you try lead for drinking cups. This actually resulted in a slow form of poisoning and was pretty common for the rich. NOW, am I telling the truth, or did I just make this up?

I don't know about the lead being used for cups but I do remember using tin cups. Maybe you are talking about lead crystal? My grandparents had a long handled tin cup hanging on the manual water pump in their kitchen. I also remember grandpa saying he wished he had his old copper cup back instead of the tin one. He said it made the water taste better. He had to give up his copper one during WWII.

I use a tin cup for my coffee, though you need to be careful or you will burn your lips.

I do believe that you are right about the lead cups, I think I saw a program about it on the History Channel, that is if one can believe what they say. I do believe I'll have a cup of coffee in a regular mug, as I am lead-bottomed enough as it is.   Cheesy Cheesy
Last but not least is:          The Two-Toed Tree-Toad

                                      A tree-toad loved a she-toad
Who lived up in a tree.
                                      He was a two-toed tree-toad,
But a three-toed toad was she.
The two-toed tree-toad tried to win
                                      The three-toed she-toad's heart,
For the two-toad tree-toad loved the ground
                                      That the three-toed tree-toad trod,
                                      But the two-toed tree-toad tired in vain;
                                      He couldn't please her whim,
                                      From her tree-toad bower,
                                      With her three-toed power,
                                      The she-toad vetoed him.

Hello Islandboy,

You're a WINNER!

This is completely true. This involved disease that primarily hit wealthy people. Poor people usually didn't have the means to buy any LEAD-WARE. It was a mystery for many years and caused the quite early deaths of many Royals.

You have won a Happy Meal with biggie fries and coke that will be awarded on February 31, 2010. The location hasn't been announced yet.

Grin   Have a cup of coffee. AND, I see that you've given me more homework to do. THANKS!
