Just to let you know I'm feeling better this evening. Been surviving on canned peaches, jello and chicken broth and water, the last few days. Today I graduated up to chicken noodle soup. But I am still weak and my stomach is gurgling really loud. I sound like a strong thunderstorm in the distance that the closer it gets, the louder it gets.  But, each day I feel a little better.
Told my mother I wished farmers in the US would start producing more just for the US, then we wouldn't get stuck with only imports from other countries. Good quality food like we had when we were growing up. Okay, I'll climb down off my soapbox.
I will meet you in the morning for a cup of good coffee.

Hello Islandboy,

I'm happy to hear that you're on the mend. Quite a few recent news events indicate that we have to be more careful with imports. As an example, I think that China has multiple dangerous exports in just the last month.

Take care of yourself.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Brother David,

It looks like I got busy and missed getting to say goodnight to you. I hope you sleep well and I'll holler at you tomorrow.

If you dream that you are awake and wake up to find out that you are asleep, keep it a secret.   Grin

One of the things besides prayer that helps a body heal is laughter. That you David-James and Blackeyedpeas for your humor. It was good to wake up this morning and feel hungry and want to eat. Still taking it slow but on the mend for sure.
Ive got a pot of coffee brewing so I pour yourself a cup and have some forum fellowship. Good Morning Everyone.

Hello Islandboy,

I was away from the computer for a few minutes, so I missed your post. I guess you went back to the chicken soup and some rest. Chicken soup is powerful medicine, so I hope that you read all the warning labels.   Wink

Christians have all kinds of reasons to be happy, even when we are ill. There's all kinds of things that the world doesn't understand about us, and they won't unless they accept JESUS CHRIST. As an example, we can have a good time doing a Bible Study.

I was just laughing some about some major medications used while I was growing up, but they really weren't funny at all:  castor oil and cod liver oil. They usually made us better real quick because we didn't want a second dose. If you don't get better by this afternoon, I highly recommend that you go buy a couple of bottles of these amazing medications. Believe me, you will be able to stop at one tablespoon each.   Grin

I'm just happy that you're already feeling better.

Love In Christ,
Tom

I remember those medications well. My grandmother never missed here daily dose of both. Guaranteed to keep your digestive tract running smoothly, and cure whatever else was wrong. I have run enough lately, so I think I will spare myself your remedy.

Good Morning. Finally made it out of the house and took a short walk around the yard. Last nights rain has made the grass grow, and our new banana trees are getting bigger. I will need to mow the grass soon or get lost in the jungle. Hope you all have a pleasent day.

Good morning brother.

lol ... I am having the same problem with the grass growing. The more I get it cut the more it seems to grow. Right now it is to wet to even get cut.

.... Brothers and Sisters!  Hope everyone is enjoying this day that the Lord has given us.  I am feeling very relaxed now that my exam is over.  I haven't received the results, but I feel confident that I did well.  Now, I have to prepare for another at the end of July.

My dad is feeling better, they are monitoring his blood for the next several weeks to determine if there are any  problems related to the radiation.  We are praying that they won't have to give him external radiation, because he would have to receive it 5 days per week for seven weeks.  God is sooooo good!

It is rather cloudy today.  The problem in the DC area is not so much the heat, but the humidity.  Thank God for A/C!
