Good Morning. This is a great cup of coffee. Hey BEP, can you pass the umbrella?  This year is reminding me of the rains we had in the Fall of '83. Don't know where you are in SW Oklahoma, but I am over here in SE OK. I am about 30 miles from McAlester now, but I was raised in Caddo County. In '83 I was slogging through water in Altus helping my sis save her turkey's from flood water. We had to drive over 100 miles out of the way to get home because of flooded roads. It is about that way here now. We have had 13 inches of rain in the past 5 weeks. The drought is officially over.
I just put on another pot of coffee, Y'all just float on in and get you a cup.
Y'all can send some of that rain to Arizona, you know.  The drought here is a long way from being over. Cry Cry

In the mean time, how about passing me a cup of coffee.  Cheesy Cheesy

That's just a little bit of an uphill run for that rain.   Grin Grin

Coffee's on it's way, brother.

Hello Okie,

I was born and raised in Lawton. They call it Lawton Fort Sill now. I've been to your area of the state several times and think it is beautiful. We are still in danger of flooding here, but things have gotten a little bit better over the last 10 days. However, it wouldn't take much of a rain to start the flooding again. In fact, we thought it was going to happen last night with some major thunderstorms.

Just think - we were praying for rain this time last year. Farmers were going under, the stock-ponds were dry, and we had wild fires all over the state. This year, I think that a lot of the crops are under water. We should just give thanks, pray, and trust GOD. Everything will work out for good for those of us who love GOD.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Good Morning.
I felt the need for a good cup of coffee and some fellowship. I have explored some of the other Christian and not Christian forums on the web and I can say with all my heart this forum is the best one out there. Some are filled with so much hatred that they will never see the true picture. Some are boring and some far-fetched. But when I need a little pick-me-up, some  laughter, and a new spring in my step, I come here, where  my coffee cup is always filled to the brim.

Hello Islandboy,

I'm happy to hear that you are enjoying Christians Unite. All of the moderators here are volunteers, and we've been given a simple goal: preserve Christians Unite as a clean and friendly place for Christian family fellowship - including children. I think that fellowship is a gift that GOD gives us, and I'm addicted to it. Increasingly, I also think that Christians are in need of encouragement and strengthening in the LORD. We can and do help each other in the LORD.

YES - I do have a big CUP of steaming COFFEE!

Love In Christ,
Tom

Well this has been a beautiful morning of 64 degrees and even though traffic is everywhere it is quiet.  I like days like this with my cup of decaf. A great time to reflect on praises and prayer.

Blessings for this day to all,
Jannie

I know Lawton well, or I used to. I was raised about 40 miles North of you in Ft.Cobb. Husband is from Anadarko. We got rain all night last night and more looks to be here soon. I was just looking at a junk pile that needs burned. Last year we were under a burn ban and now we are soaked. The treee frogs are happy little critters. lol
I wish I could share this rain with all who are needing it. Been in drought enough to have plenty of sympathy. God will do what he sees fit, it just doesn't always work like us mear humans think it should.

Good morning all. It is a beautiful day in the Lord. It looks like we might be getting some rain here today also. In the meantime I am enjoying the sunshine we are getting. For some reason the neighborhood is unusually quiet. With school being out for the summer normally by this time of day all the kids would be out playing but for some reason there are no children in sight yet.

The rain averages in my area over the last two days is 3 to 5 inches and more on the way. This time, at least it was spread out some. I know this sounds odd since we've had so much rain in just two days, but we've had recent times that it was in hours - not days. Many places fairly close to us are under water. There are a bunch of folks in North Texas who are having a really hard time (i.e. Gainesville, Texas). They are SE of us, and I think that they are still under water. Please keep these people in your prayers.

Love In Christ,
Tom

The flooding in the Gainesville, Texas area is still pretty severe. It was said to have been the worst in 150 yrs. There was also a flash flood that just hit the Catskill Mountains in the New York area where 6 people are still missing. Yes, our prayers should be with those in these areas.

Good morning to all. Seems like we are always praying for rain or praying for it to stop. Here in SW Florida, we are getting a short break this weekend with rain to resume on Monday. The pesky mosquitos are hatching out with a vengeance, but turtles and fish, and dragonflies, have to have something to eat. It's time to drag out the bug spray to protect ourselves and let them critters have at it.
Time to sit down with a cup of coffee and thank God, for such a beautiful day.

Amen! And a beautiful day in the Lord it is. We received quite a bit of rain last night and more of it today.

Cheesy  We still have electricity, and we aren't under water yet, so it's another good day in the LORD. AND, I'm NOT Michael Moore.

Every day is a good day in the LORD!

Let's have another CUP of COFFEE!

Love In Christ,
Tom

Galatians 6:9-10 NASB  Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary. So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.
