Now I Belong To Jesus
Jesus my Lord will love me forever, From Him no power of evil can sever, He gave His life to ransom my soul, Now I belong to Him.
Refrain
Now I belong to Jesus, Jesus belongs to me; Not for the years of time alone, but for eternity.
Once I was lost in sin's degradation; Jesus came down to bring me salvation, Lifted me up from sorrow and shame; Now I belong to Him.
Refrain
Joy floods my soul for Jesus has saved me; Freed me from sin that long had enslaved me, His precious blood He gave to redeem, Now I belong to Him.

O How I Love Jesus
There is a Name I love to hear, I love to sing its worth; It sounds like music in my ear, The sweetest Name on earth.
Refrain
O how I love Jesus, O how I love Jesus, O how I love Jesus, Because He first loved me! It tells me of a Savior’s love, Who died to set me free; It tells me of His precious blood, The sinner’s perfect plea.
Refrain
It tells me what my Father hath In store for every day, And though I tread a darksome path, Yields sunshine all the way.
Refrain
It tells of one whose loving heart Can feel my deepest woe; Who in each sorrow bears A part that none can bear below.

Saved By Grace
Some day the silver cord will break, And I no more as now shall sing; But oh, the joy when I shall wake Within the palace of the King!
Refrain
And I shall see Him face to face, And tell the story-Saved by grace; And I shall see Him face to face, And tell the story-Saved by grace. Some day my earthly house will fall. I cannot tell how soon ’twill be; But this I know-my All in All Has now a place in heav’n for me.
Refrain
Some day, when fades the golden sun Beneath the rosy tinted west, My blessed Lord will say, “Well done!” And I shall enter into rest.
Refrain
Some day: till then I’ll watch and wait, My lamp all trimmed and burning bright, That when my Savior opens the gate, My soul to Him may take its flight.

Showers Of Blessing
There shall be showers of blessing: This is the promise of love; There shall be seasons refreshing, Sent from the Savior above.
Refrain
Showers of blessing, Showers of blessing we need: Mercy drops round us are falling, But for the showers we plead. There shall be showers of blessing, Precious reviving again; Over the hills and the valleys, Sound of abundance of rain.
Refrain
There shall be showers of blessing; Send them upon us, O Lord; Grant to us now a refreshing, Come, and now honor Thy Word.
Refrain
There shall be showers of blessing: Oh, that today they might fall, Now as to God we’re confessing, Now as on Jesus we call!
Refrain
There shall be showers of blessing, If we but trust and obey; There shall be seasons refreshing, If we let God have His way.

Since Jesus Came Into My Heart
What a wonderful change in my life has been wrought Since Jesus came into my heart! I have light in my soul for which long I had sought, Since Jesus came into my heart!
Refrain
Since Jesus came into my heart, Since Jesus came into my heart, Floods of joy over my soul Like the sea billows roll, Since Jesus came into my heart. I have ceased from my wandering and going astray, Since Jesus came into my heart! And my sins, which were many, are all washed away, Since Jesus came into my heart!
Refrain
I’m possessed of a hope that is steadfast and sure, Since Jesus came into my heart! And no dark clouds of doubt now my pathway obscure, Since Jesus came into my heart!
Refrain
There’s a light in the valley of death now for me, Since Jesus came into my heart! And the gates of the City beyond I can see, Since Jesus came into my heart!
Refrain
I shall go there to dwell in that City, I know, Since Jesus came into my heart! And I’m happy, so happy, as onward I go, Since Jesus came into my heart!

Standing On The Promises
Standing on the promises of Christ my King, Through eternal ages let His praises ring, Glory in the highest, I will shout and sing, Standing on the promises of God.
Refrain
Standing, standing, Standing on the promises of God my Savior; Standing, standing, I’m standing on the promises of God. Standing on the promises that cannot fail, When the howling storms of doubt and fear assail, By the living Word of God I shall prevail, Standing on the promises of God.
Refrain
Standing on the promises I now can see Perfect, present cleansing in the blood for me; Standing in the liberty where Christ makes free, Standing on the promises of God.
Refrain
Standing on the promises of Christ the Lord, Bound to Him eternally by love’s strong cord, Overcoming daily with the Spirit’s sword, Standing on the promises of God.
Refrain
Standing on the promises I cannot fall, Listening every moment to the Spirit’s call Resting in my Savior as my all in all, Standing on the promises of God.

Tell Me The Story Of Jesus
Tell me the story of Jesus, Write on my heart every word. Tell me the story most precious, Sweetest that ever was heard. Tell how the angels in chorus, Sang as they welcomed His birth. “Glory to God in the highest! Peace and good tidings to earth.”
Refrain
Tell me the story of Jesus, Write on my heart every word. Tell me the story most precious, Sweetest that ever was heard. Fasting alone in the desert, Tell of the days that are past. How for our sins He was tempted, Yet was triumphant at last. Tell of the years of His labor, Tell of the sorrow He bore. He was despised and afflicted, Homeless, rejected and poor.
Refrain
Tell of the cross where they nailed Him, Writhing in anguish and pain. Tell of the grave where they laid Him, Tell how He liveth again. Love in that story so tender, Clearer than ever I see. Stay, let me weep while you whisper, Love paid the ransom for me.

The Old Rugged Cross
On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross, The emblem of suffering and shame; And I love that old cross where the dearest and best For a world of lost sinners was slain.
Refrain
So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross, Till my trophies at last I lay down; I will cling to the old rugged cross, And exchange it some day for a crown. O that old rugged cross, so despised by the world, Has a wondrous attraction for me; For the dear Lamb of God left His glory above To bear it to dark Calvary.
Refrain
In that old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine, A wondrous beauty I see, For ’twas on that old cross Jesus suffered and died, To pardon and sanctify me.
Refrain
To the old rugged cross I will ever be true; Its shame and reproach gladly bear; Then He’ll call me some day to my home far away, Where His glory forever I’ll share.

Victory In Jesus
I heard an old, old story, How a Savior came from glory; How He gave His life on Calvary, To save a wretch like me. I heard about His groaning, Of his precious Blood's atoning; Then I repented of my sins And won the victory.
Refrain
O victory in Jesus My Savior, forever He sought me and bought me With His Redeeming blood He loved me ere I knew Him And all my love is due Him He plunged me to victory Beneath the cleansing flood.
Refrain
I heard about His healing, Of His cleansing pow'r revealing; How He made the lame to walk again, And caused the blind to see. And then I cried "Dear Jesus, Come and heal my broken spirit; "And somehow Jesus came and bro't To me the victory.
Refrain
I heard about a mansion, He has built for me in glory; And I heard about the streets of gold, Beyond the crystal sea, About the angels singing, And the old redemption story; And some sweet day I'll sing up there, The song of victory.

When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder
When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound, and time shall be no more, And the morning breaks, eternal, bright and fair; When the saved of earth shall gather over on the other shore, And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.
Refrain
When the roll, is called up yon-der, When the roll, is called up yon-der, When the roll, is called up yon-der, When the roll is called up yonder I’ll be there. On that bright and cloudless morning when the dead in Christ shall rise, And the glory of His resurrection share; When His chosen ones shall gather to their home beyond the skies, And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.
Refrain
Let us labor for the Master from the dawn till setting sun, Let us talk of all His wondrous love and care; Then when all of life is over, and our work on earth is done, And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.
Refrain

Whiter Than Snow
Lord Jesus, I long to be perfectly whole; I want Thee forever to live in my soul. Break down every idol, cast out every foe; Now wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Refrain
Whiter than snow, yes, whiter than snow. Now wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Lord Jesus, look down from Thy throne in the skies, And help me to make a complete sacrifice. I give up myself, and whatever I know, Now wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Refrain
Lord Jesus, for this I most humbly entreat, I wait, blessed Lord, at Thy crucified feet. By faith, for my cleansing, I see Thy blood flow, Now wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Refrain
Lord Jesus, Thou seest I patiently wait, Come now, and within me a new heart create; To those who have sought Thee, Thou never saidst “No,” Now wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

Hello Brother David, I'm taking a coffee break. I love many old hymns, but I posted some of my favorites. I don't sing very well, but I can almost hear them in my head. It's the words that I think are most beautiful, and I think that they express how many sweet Christians feel. JESUS CHRIST is the central focus of our lives. Love In Christ, Tom Ephesians 2:19-22 NASB So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God's household, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit.

thank you for the hymns brother, they are beautiful. I cry but am not sad.
Lord, I lift Your name on high; Lord, I love to sing Your praises; I'm so glad You're in my life; I'm so glad You came to save us. You came from Heaven to earth; To show the way, From the earth to the cross, My debt to pay, From the cross to the grave, From the grave to the sky; Lord, I lift Your name on high!

Brother David, I understand completely because I also cry. I think that nearly all Christians cry, and it's many times in Joy and Appreciation for what we have in CHRIST. These old and beautiful hymns also make me think of many sweet Christians throughout my entire life. I give thanks that I was surrounded by many strong Christians for my entire life, and I'm completely spoiled with the riches and blessings that GOD has given my family. By the way, I also like "Lord I Lift Your Name On High". It's a beautiful hymn. Love In Christ, Tom

I haven't heard some of these before, where can I find more?
Here is your coffee
Brother David, I have a folder on my computer with some very old versions of hymns. I was just thinking that there are much more complete versions than what I have in my folder. Take a look in the menu on the left side of your screen for "Christian Song Lyrics". I wish that I had remembered the songs on Christians Unite before I started posting, but I had a temporary mind lapse. My mind is back now - I think.
