Happy Memorial Day to you all. And thanks "Dream Weaver", for the use of your great banner. Sitting here with a hot cup of brew, thinking about this great day and sad day, truly a day of remembrance of those who have died fighting for our freedom, and those that still are fighting for freedom. Thoughout the Bible, many lived and died for the same reasons we do today. All talked about, all told in the words of God the Father, the Son, and the many disciples that did and still do spread the good news that Jesus died on the cross, to give us life and all we need is the trust and faith to believe in Him in order to have everlasting life.
Time for another cup of coffee, then off to enjoy this great day. I am really thankful today for spell check.

AMEN BROTHER! Every day for Christians should be Memorial Day for JESUS CHRIST and the CROSS. When we give thanks and count our blessings, JESUS CHRIST must always be on the top of the list for thanks and remembrance. I firmly believe that it's right to also thank those men and women who have sacrificed so much for us. How great a love is it for a person to lay down their life for others? How great a love is it for a person to just put themselves in harm's way for others? From the bottom of my heart, I give thanks every day for freedoms we enjoy, and I give thanks for generations of men and women who paid for those freedoms. Christians have more reasons than others to give thanks every day because we also have JESUS CHRIST and belong to HIM. The GREATEST THINGS don't have a worldly, monetary value associated with them. LOVE can't be bought or sold.
To generations of men and women who have loved others enough to SERVETHANK YOU!! |
