Hello Dreamweaver,

Brother, I'm sure that you remember my dad was in the ministry for over 60 years. It's interesting to find out what some people think of various terms. As an example, my dad didn't want to be called Rev. He was an old-fashioned pastor just like you are, but he was also a preacher. He was a circuit preacher for many years and went to places without a pastor, most usually in small and rural areas. He eventually stretched himself pretty thin and did try to serve the people in 38 rural communities more than just preaching. It did effect his health and wore him out, but he loved the work. We were in a different place for services 7 days a week for the first 8 years of my life, and I remember that dad was gone most of the time working very long hours. In looking back, I know that the work was very satisfying, and GOD richly blessed his ministry.

Brother, it makes me very happy to hear about your ministry. The hours will be long and the pay small, but GOD will bless you.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Romans 12:1-2 NASB  Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.  And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!

I'm sitting here reading devotions and Bible studies. YES - this is another wonderful day that the LORD has made - "Let us be glad and rejoice in it".

We have a nice change in weather for Oklahoma today. The sun is out, and I don't think there is any forecast for rough weather tonight or tomorrow. That's a GREAT thing because everything here is soaked, and anything that holds water is full. Many of our flooded areas are accessible now, and folks are beginning cleanup. All we have to cleanup is some large limbs that broke off of our trees during the high winds, so I give thanks for that.

Back to thread topic - I'm sitting here drinking a large cup of coffee flavored with no calorie Cinnamon CoffeeMate. It's really good for a little bit of a change, and those on a diet don't have to worry about using it. It's the liquid CoffeeMate, and it comes in several flavors that are all pretty good.

In the meantime - KEEP LOOKING UP!

Brothers and Sisters,

After reading the last couple of posts, I got to thinking about all of us climbing mountains. This is a good illustration of a Christian's life. GOD wants all of us to climb higher and higher in JESUS. I immediately couple these thoughts with Paul's description of running a good race, fighting a good fight, and finishing our course. Our course is rarely easy, but it's satisfying and full of joy in trying to serve the LORD. Nothing should be a matter of personal bragging, rather everything for the glory of GOD. The ultimate would be to one day hear the MASTER say, "Well done good and faithful servant."

Let's all climb the mountain and stop every now and then to enjoy the view. All Glory to GOD in everything.

Love In Christ,
Tom
