Oh.......good morning, and I am glad to be in another day the Lord has made.

So many great, Godly movies out now.......I really love it when hollywood embraces the message of God

Been showing the kids "Faceing the Giants" what a great message, and just the right level for kids.

Good Morning Brother Gary!

We have been having one storm right after another all night long and it is supposed to continue the rest of today. So far it has been mostly rain and thunder storms. Almost all the snow has been melted and washed away. The only problem with that is my car is sitting on low ground right next to a drainage ditch that keeps getting clogged up. Tomorrow we are expecting colder temps with a lot of snow. Time to break out the ice skates again for more winter fun.

SO, how was coffee discovered.

BELIEVE IT OR NOT:

Some goats in a farmer's herd started acting full of energy shortly after coming out of some bushes. The farmer noticed this and decided to investigate. He noticed a plant that he wasn't familiar with that had beans on it. He kept watching the goats and noticed the times of energy were caused after eating the beans from the strange plant. Nothing ever bad happened to the goats, so the farmer decided to try the beans.

The farmer noticed that he was also full of energy, but the beans were very bitter. He started to experiment with various ways to make the beans taste better, including cooking them. It was quickly noticed that water being added to the beans during cooking turned into a much darker color, and the water took on the taste of the beans. Cooking the beans did remove much of the bitter taste, and future experiments resulted in a refreshing and invigorating beverage that didn't appear to have any negative effects. It was considered by many to be a medicine and made people feel better.

SO, the next time you enjoy a cup of coffee, thank a GOAT.

The early history of coffee is really humorous. Some of it really isn't appropriate to post on the forum, but it is funny. By the way, Juan Valdez is a fictional character!   Grin   Grin   The history of Folgers and Maxwell House in the United States is fascinating.

Juan Valdez may be a fictional character but I still appreciate his donkey for delivering the coffee every day.  Wink Cheesy Cheesy

Grin  YES, I just got a delivery from that donkey, and the coffee is on. It smells sooooo good, and the doctor told me to drink all I want. It's amazing that something that smells and tastes so good is actually good for you. As we all know - if it tastes good, the doctors usually say you can't have it. So, I happily follow the doctor's orders and drink coffee. I just can't load it up with sugar and other bad stuff. I usually use some sweet and low and cinnamon. It's finger lickin', lip-smackin' GOOD.   Grin

Hello Sister Tina,

I'm very happy to be back. I've really missed the fellowship. I give thanks to be up and going again. Low is the only gear that works in my transmission right now, but that's much better than just PARK.   Cheesy
